G-MANN 2006-09-20 15:13 | Some of these images are obiviously from promotional screenshots, they are much glossier than the vehicles in the game, therefore it's not what the game actually looks like when you play it. 2009-06-18 23:12 | This game is my favorite game and GTA for forever and for all time. There are so many reasons why. Like what Star Wars Fanatic said on the San Andreas page, this game captured the 80s perfectly. As a huge fan of the 80s, I totally agree. Anyway, the setting is brilliant. As a parody of Miami, Florida, it's just awesome. The cast is great. It some of my favorite actors including Robert Davi (Die Hard), Dennis Hopper (Speed), Gary Busey (Lethal Weapon), and of course, Ray Liotta (Goodfellas). This game also had a awesome storyline. But in my opinion, San Andreas had the best storyline in the whole series. Anyway, Vice City's storyline was similar to Scarface. Well the game is similar to Scarface and Miami Vice. Which in my opinion, the best T.V. show from the 80s. Especially the setting is similar to Miami Vice. Speaking of Miami Vice, when you get police level 5 and 6, Crockett's and Tubbs's FBI '86 Ferrari Testarossa shows, which in the game is called the "Cheetah". Which makes the Cheetah a 1986 Ferrari Testarossa. There were a lot more cars that I like. My three favorite cars in the game, in no order, it's the Admiral (Mercedes-Benz 280E [W123], I think it's a '77), the Greenwood (1984 Chrysler Fifth Avenue), and the Rancher (1987 Chevrolet Blazer). Although, there a lot more cars that I like including the Virgo, the Phoenix, the Hermes, the Cuban Hermes, the Voodoo, the Banshee, the Cheetah, the Stallion, the Mesa Grande, the Sabre, the Sabre Turbo, the Washington, the Oceanic, Stinger, the Infernus, the Blista Compact and the Bobcat. All the characters and pedestrians are dressed in 80s fashion clothes. The graphics are excellent. The game setting year is 1986. I think it took place in 1986 because I think the most Miami Vice episodes were filmed in 1986. According to Wikipedia, this game is the 3rd best-selling PS2 game ever. Which sucks, in my opinion, this game should be the best selling game ever. But really, who cares. Well San Andreas was 1st best-selling PS2 game and Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec is the 2nd. But again, who cares. Anyway this whole game is perfectly excellent. Even the soundtrack is great. My favorite radio stations in this game are V-Rock, Wave 103, Emotion 98.3, and VCPR. There are a lot and I mean A LOT of songs that I love in this game. Especially the game’s band “Love Fist.” And VCPR is just hilarious. And just one more thing. I hope Rockstar Games makes another GTA that is in Vice City and the in the 80s and that has graphics from Grand Theft Auto IV and a similar storyline from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. To me, that would make the most popular GTA ever. Eventhough, this game will always be the best. Bottom line, in my opinion, Grand Theft Auto Vice City is the best game ever and always will be. 2009-09-27 21:10 | I just finished a summary about what the next GTA Rockstar Games should make. We know that The Ballad of Gay Tony will be released next month as for Episodes of Liberty City. But know I want to you what I think. I thought of what the storyline, vehicles, year, weapons and extras. The storyline I made is like a huge mix of so many other games including the “The Getaway”, “Saints Row”, previous GTAs, and maybe some other games. I also couldn’t come up with a good GTA name, but I believe will think of something. But here’s what I think: Storyline: An Englishmen and his family arrive in Vice City. They were hoping new lives in America. They arrive at their new home. Two admirals (cars) ambushes the family and kills the Englishmen’s wife and kidnaps the Englishmen’s son and daughter. The Englishmen’s car chases after the frighteners. The Englishmen crashes and the frighteners getaway. The Englishmen goes through the city’s gangs, mobs, crews and even the police. The Englishmen slowly finds out who killed his wife and kidnapped his children. The Englishmen get set up and is forced to cause trouble throughout the city. He slowly loses his allies by attacking them by the man whose forces him to do. After the Englishmen loses all of his allies that he just made, he goes after the gang boss, kills anyone that’s in his way. The Englishmen finally kills the gang boss, gets his revenge and rescues his kids. Then the Englishmen tries to escape the police, but got trapped and arrested. Then his former allies find out that the Englishmen was told to attack them. Then they escape the Englishmen out of prison and get his children back. The Englishman gets his children and allies back and owns Vice City. That also would be cool, when the game goes into the 90's, there would be more cars, soundtrack, weapons and more. So thanks for pointing that out. |

2009-11-04 16:02 | I liked Black Bart's idea, so I created my own summary of how GTA of my dreams will sound like, I hope y'all like it. I've based the car selection upon GTA series and cars seen in 1988-91 movies, as well as a few others that came into my mind. Black Bart, good plot and nice car selection, nice everything. Maybe you'll be an author. Storyline: A 29-year-old cop named Dorian Davis comes to the City of Vice after being transferred by his boss to support the fight against the drugs that are being illegally smuggled into the city. He stays at his cousin’s, who lives there. After doing some routine missions, he discovers that his fellow cops are corrupt and they are trying to sabotage his work there. One night while on a date with his girlfriend, his girlfriend is executed right in front of his eyes by some hitmen hired by these corrupt cops. As the men are going to execute him too and putting the blame on someone else, some gangsters arrive at the scene and stop the execution. The gangsters bring Davis in and want him to help them with their small time crime operations. He refuses and they throw him into the sea. He barely escapes death, and learns that his cousin has been butchered by the same guys. Now he has a chance to take revenge on those who betrayed him and killed his girlfriend and his cousin. He gets help by many characters on the way, among them his best friend, Reg Allis, also a cop, a moaning professional mastermind named Candy (from DPL I want him in this game lol), a one armed gun-slinger named Phil Cassidy (where do I get these names from?), a beautiful but deadly girl named Saseko, a tall and jovial pilot named Fish and many more. In his way stand gangsters, drug barons and cops, both corrupt and not corrupt. Cars can be personalised with Number plates and can be painted different colours, cars will have a predominant role in the game. Cars can break down, Run out of petrol etc. Cars will have working features, Sat nav, Sunroofs, adjustable windows and fully functioning doors parts and lights and Indicators will feature. Readable newspapers featuring stories from the times the game is set will feature. The game will feature a mulitude of playable characters, all with their own abilities and Special powers. Characters will be fully customisable, clothes, hairstyles, and even learn new powers. But since everyone had mixed opinions, than sure, it could be from 1980 to 2010. Then the setting, maybe should be somewhere other than Liberty City (U.S.) Vice City or San Andreas for another fictional location like you said in Liberty City (UK) or what takumi said in South France. I like the car selection, although, there would be more. Your plot is cool, too. It's sort of like a cross between The Getaway and Grand Theft Auto IV. You're names for radio station names is good. Also it be awesome to hear a classic rock star to host a radio station or in the cast like Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), Ozzy Osbourne (Black Sabbath/himself), John Lydon (Sex Pistols), Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden), Josh Todd (Buckcherry), Gerald Way (My Chemical Romance), Brian Johnson (AC/DC), Meat Loaf (himself) or Bruce Springsteen (himself). But anyway, it could be interesting when can go different countries and see different varieties of vehicles and have their own number plates, can be painted with different colors, have their own role, break down, run out of gas, and have their own working features. It could also be fun to do can do in normal day life like you said "reading newspapers", have the ability to customize yourself like in Saints Row, have girlfriends like in the last few GTA games and play more than one character.
