I was pissed when phil was concluding and then lights went out and music from teaser played...havent been this happy like a child since years....FH4 made me happy but this is something else weve been waiting for this game along time

You can already change the release date to 2077

car-dude44 CA (29)

2018-06-11 17:17

I put 2018 for now, can be changed when we have a definitive date. I also submitted most/all the cars from the trailer, so not sure when they'll be getting approved.

Im guessing 2018 would be an awesome treat but most likely game will release in 2019

They look more like spaceships than regular cars, so I haven't bothered. Don't look to be road worthy either.

So slight backlash from community after 50 min closed gameplay it was disclosed thats its purely FPP which didnt go well with fans stressing on character in-depth customizion that you cant see. I am disappointed but not enough to kill my hype like some , more concerned as FPS magnifies some lighting effects and i have certain level of epilepsy hopefully that doesnt affect my experince

I'm personally more interested now that I know it's first person. You can use different strategies to get to your goals, even though we don't know to what extent. The game has a stealth mechanic, and you can perform silent takedowns. I hope the map is well designed, so that there actually are multiple paths that lead to the same place and stealth is a viable strategy.

I've read many of the articles based on the 50 minute preview, and they seemed positive. First person was a surprise, but they did specify that you could drive in first or third person. Also impressed that most the articles mentioned that the game would not shy away from mature topics like sex and drug use, something that would be crucial to the setting. Many people online criticized the fact the trailer was in the day, but I believe it shows that CDPR are attempting to make a realistic, immersive and unique experience- of the game world was real, it would obviously have a daytime. It also shows they want to reinvent cyberpunk for today's world, as the themes of the cyperpunk of the 80s are no longer relevant, as we are living in the future cyberpunk predicted- the original cyberpunk pen and paper RPG this game is based on was set in 2020.

The Witcher 3 was an amazing game with the best quests and storylines I've ever played, and I loved the entire game, even though I usually don't like fantasy settings. If you want a preview of cyberpunk I would recommend the Witcher 3, it will be well worth the money no matter the price you pay.

I have played witcher 3 , mostly done i still have the DLCs , i except nothing less from CDPR all people that saw the gamplay were blown away , i expected the game to tackle all mature subjects (nudity, sex, gore , drugs, and more i would be disappointed if it didnt) the people who built this fantasy world in their mind based on CGI teaser..is ridiculous i was amazed by the world

A slight concern is that FPS while great for shooting bits, the game also focuses on melee, (level based system) i just hope melee isnt wonky like some games.
3rd perspective for cars im pretty sure to avoid players getting motion sick some arnt acustomed to it

My biggest concern is FPP magnifies effects, i watched rage 2 trailers and some gamplay almost got migrane from them due to effects and this being cyberpunk world has to have lots of colorful effects. (My epilepsy is minor and have played multiple FPS including DOOM 2016 but rage 2 caused somewhat annoyance)

I dont want to have waited 6 years to find medically speaking half the sequences arnt healthy for me. TPP effects tend to be avoidable and not as intense. I trust CDPR but i hope for an option of two perspectives like in cars or if its strictly FPP not to have sequences as annoying as RAGE 2 considering this isna cyberpunk world colors and flashy neon lights are massive asset

I never considered that some people could have medical issues with a game's perspective, although I do hope that CDPR properly accounts for it so as many people as possible can enjoy the game! I'm tempted to go back to the Witcher 3 again, I've still got tons to do!

Hasnt been that hindering for my gaming experience because i usually avoid FPS but from what ive played no major issues slight hiccups in BF4 but thats about it

There were custom tower in Injustice 2 4th of july tower...i couldnt even look at the screen for a second that was my worst so i had to make AI loadout do everything

Looks promising, BUT...! Let's keep it nice and cool, becouse we all know how things went with Duke Nukem Forever:
-Coming when it's done
-Coming when it's done
-Coming when it's done
-It's nearly finished

12 YEARS(!!!) passes

-It's nearly done
-See You very soon

AND when it FINALLY came out- instead of being a real wonder, it turned out to be disgustingly medicore.

So once again, let's keep calm and flutter on. ;)

Well the overall reaction of people that saw was exceedingly positive ...honestly alot of people were fanboying when explaining about the demo theyve seen

One i found slightly objective is alanah Pierce (IGN reporter) offcourse not the official ign video. Her own channel

She said game looked astounding that amount of detail was next gen. The atmosphere /npc and all the world felt alive on a whole new level ...which slighty worries me how will this work on current gen and if demo ran on PC and console will get downgraded version. She said shooting bits felt like doom /rage 2.the demo blew people mind that some where gushing over it.
Her main critique was writing for that hour of gameplay felt it involves alot of archetypes and it wasnt CDRED best

Duke nukem was failed from start he was 90s charcater with 90s humor and so on and the developers decided to keep all the shit from 90s thinking it would be funny...it was outdated bland mess with average gameplay atleast from what weve heard from this demo its good start as demo exceeded what people were expecting plus we have to give it to the developers they have no one to answer to which is privilege in today's gaming world with massive triple A producers

Also heads up if anyone lives in Australia as this game might get banned. This game makes witcher and GTA5 blush

CD Projekt Red teased that they might show something at gamescom which starts soon.

Also admins is it possible to remove 2018, we might not know release date yet but its most definitely not 2018. Im guessing its 2020-2021

2020 more because the game is based on Cyberpunk 2020

GTA V, yes. The Witcher 3, very much no.

The gameplay looked painfully average. Not only is it a 1st person shooter without any recoil but it, of course, has wall hacks and bullet time... Yes, it fits the setting. Does that make it good? Absolutely not.

And I could go on like that. I'm sure it's gonna be a good game (at least I hope so) but it's annoying how many cancerous popular mechanics they implemented.

Well.... I was talking about nudity/sexuality and mature subjects...but okay

Again you said it those mechanics have to be in because they fit. And they kept stating mechanics were no where near completion...just look at driving mechanics I dont expect them to rewrite FPS or revolutionize it. So i won't judge miniscule details from a preview of something that wont be released before 2 years time.

One of developers stated that he was hesitant to release any gameplay to the public to avoid a reaction like this.

In other words he was afraid public will directly judge mechanics he himself stated that chase scene where V shoots the van...mechanics are awful...hence massive watermark and narrator that kept reminding this does not represent final product

Agree, but at least they are taking time to fix everything. After all this is their first 'modern' game, not middle age title, so it much more complex then Witcher series.
This is their 4th main game (that CD Projekt developed) in 11 years, you can't compare them to DICE, Infinity Ward/Treyarch and Turn 10/Playground Games that are pushing new games every year, and it's no wonder their 2018 releases are... well... same as their past titles ;)
How many Call of Duty, Battlefield and Forza games we saw in last 11 years :D

Well it all depends on whose your publisher. CD PROJEKT RED is its own publisher. Also I cant really see titles like forza taking almost a decade . 2 years is enough for game that depends on licensed products and face of a console :p. Games that are a whole living world however like GTA, red dead and cyberpunk deserve all the time they can get game depends on game genre sandbox and ARPG deserves alot due to extensive process of building a fictional "real" world...I think Assassin creed should take a hint. But saying all genres should take this much is a stretch

Yeah, but after all players choose if they buy the product or not. Very low number of pre-ordered games from this list is showing something. Hell, Battlefield is trailing after CoD by 50% and even CoD is still far away from pre-order number of older games.

speedfreak975 LB (140)

2018-08-28 19:09

Forza espacially horizon series isnt showing slow down if anything ultimate preorders nb increased. Placing that franchise thats made by two diff studios with them is slightly insulting. Just look at GT sport half a decade no where near as product as either PC2 or FM7 at launch which both took less time

However I do agree about FPS genre in general its jaded and inflated ..hence why i never play it....like at all BFV and COD lost their identity and are trying to be trendy. Not to mention how EA handled BFV initial trailer was poor and public want to see EA burn....
COD went bat shit crazy losing its identity and its still 85% higher than BFV preorders wise

Wow, I'm concerned about you Speedfreak, didn't know you had a form of Epilepsy, especially if you live in Lebanon. Health issue are no jokes to deal with.(by the way, watch out for the multiple posts)

About that Alanah Pierce, it looks to me she just talked about "archetypes" because it looks so woke to sound feminist, don't you think ? The Human Brains need "tags" and systemic structures, we can't think with concepts in the void like in the middle of an ocean or space. And a social wave like cyber-punk, neo-punk needs archetypes anyway to impose its atmosphere. Don't get people started. EA deserved its backlash with BFV regarding respect to males went to war and sacrificed or forced to atrocities (85% less pre-orders than CoD, than their previous years)

Now to Topic: FPS have the advantage to be more detailed in general, mostly thanks to the principle that one is closer to the objects in 1st person perspective, so I think it'll really help develop a deeper game world.
If I were them I'd really focus on next-gen PCs (components) like a R2080Ti Killer game, then go from there for other platforms

speedfreak975 LB (140)

2018-08-30 10:39

Its not really massively affected my lifestyle ..its cool when it comes to games I only had a few issues with some sequences.
As for Alanah I dont take her as strong feminist honestly after listening to some of her opinions shes cool I think she mainly stated writing could be better and that game will most likely be banned in Australia which I agree to...i wont judge writing based on 1 quest but I felt V's delivery to some lines was mediocre. FPP gameplay didnt really annoy me so Im glad and for characters that are based on Archetypes I think its necessity for building a realistic community.
Its clear mechanics and animation still need work....I will be interested to see how current gen consoles handle this.
