at first I would also call it a VW Golf/Rabbit MK1, I dont think the Scirocco came as 4/5 door

Could be inspired by the FSO Polonez. Well, it would make sense if you think about the fact CDPR is a polish company. And the design does have some cues that point to that car.

I disagree, first that this car isn't even a wagon, second that the body shape doesn't match. The only things that reminds a Subaru DL Wagon are the tailights of its civilian version
