The first Esperanto is a real land yacht, longer and with worse handling than it's successors in Vice City and San Andreas.
The Yakuza version of the Stinger isn't actually as quick as the normal one but is easier to handle. -- Last edit: 2006-11-08 20:18:55
Basically a grey Pony that bears the logo of the Pan Lantic Construction Company, a front for the Colombian Cartel. -- Last edit: 2006-11-09 12:06:54
A lighter version of the Mule, belonging to the laundrette who used to pay protection to the Leone Family, now associated with the Triads. -- Last edit: 2006-11-09 12:06:00
The Gang Car of the Triads, which comes in various colours unlike the other gang cars which all have the same paintjob. Based on the Mule but is faster and has lighter handling.
The thing this always reminds me of is the Ssangyong Musso.
Unlike the Patriots in Vice City and San Andreas this can be found in traffic driven by civilians, which would make this the civilian Hummer instead of the military Humvee (AM General HMMWV).

The Stretch can be found on the streets of Staunton Island and comes in two colours, white and grey. There is also a black version that belongs to the Leone Crime Family and is used in two of the Mafia missions in Portland. The second image is from a cutscene in the mission "Salvatore's Called a Meeting", showing the inside of Joey Leone's garage. In the background is the BF Injection he is working on. -- Last edit: 2019-07-28 20:49:29 (Klumb3r)
By the way the spelling may seem incorrect (usually FBI is spelt with capital letters) but that is how it is spelt in the game. -- Last edit: 2019-07-28 20:49:20 (Klumb3r)
It does look like some kind of Cadillac Hearse.
It's because it has soft, wallowing suspension typical of a big American cruiser.
That's the only way you can get one for yourself. However after you fail the mission, it doesn't seem to be able to take anywhere near as much damage.
Appears in the final storyline mission "End of the Line" where you must take control of one to ram through the wall of the Crack Fortress to get inside. Another one appears during the mission but this is the only time in the whole game you'll see these armoured cars. The turret on top is a water cannon. -- Last edit: 2006-11-02 18:48:42
This is the car used by your opponents in the Hotring stadium challenge. You can only drive it yourself if you use a cheat.
In the Hotring stadium challenge this is the car you drive in the race, but after you win a different model Hotring Racer spawns outside the stadium.
When you win the Hotring Challenge this car will spawn outside the stadium. -- Last edit: 2019-11-30 02:29:30 (Klumb3r)
I disagree, no production sedan has wheel arches that big. -- Last edit: 2006-11-01 23:55:19
We were talking about that Dutch WikiGTA site, not wikipedia. I've so far found wikipedia quite useful, although I've heard a lot of people saying it's full of mistruths, but I have a fair amount of faith in it at the moment.
That's right Explorer, I will put up the other two soon.
This brings to mind some Toyota or Nissan that's been modded up, boy-racer style, ending up looking a bit ugly. The name Sunrise might mean it's based on a Japanese make (Sunrise = Rising Sun = Japan).
Good, some of the stuff on there was a bit dodgy.
But it's still possible to play it, just not in the ordinary course of the game.
Stinger = Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
Washington = Lincoln. Both are the names of famous US Presidents.
Since you can't drive this car (although the handling and speed of the 3 Hotring Racers is pretty similar) without using a cheat, what star rating should it have?
The GTA1 Stallion was clearly a Mustang, but this is a bit of a mix of different things. On other games in the GTA series this has been listed a Pontiac GTO but I really don't see much resemblance. The speed and handling of the Stallion varies throughout the games, in GTA3 the handling is quite bad, it fishtails like hell, but in San Andreas it is more sporty.
Well to me this looks like a stretched version of the Brigham which is listed as a Cadillac Brougham.
That's right. In the game's storyline you start your criminal career in Liberty City (which resembles New York even closer in this game) and after completing the second level "Heist Almighty", mob boss Bubby sends you to San Andreas (vaguely resembling San Francisco) because you've brought too much heat on yourself from your sucess in crime. Then in the cartoon cut-scene at end of Level 4 "Tequila Slammer", homosexual hispanic gang leader El Burro (who reappears in GTA3, even if it's in voice only), wearing nothing but a waistcoat, tells you he's now going to 'personally' reward you for your sucess (and you'll find out why he's known as "The Donkey"). In the next level "Bent Cop Blues", you are now in Vice City (Miami) under the thumb of highly corrupt narcotics officer Deever. I always imagined that your character flees San Andreas to avoid being sodomised by El Burro. Sorry if that sounds homophobic, but when you get to actually see him in the cut-scene, you'd understand why anyone would want avoid getting intimate with this guy. Although the funny thing is you can actually choose a female profile for your character so that would spoil the subplot of El Burro lusting after you (and calling you "pretty boy"). In fact, despite that when you start the game, out of 8 character profile mugshots to choose from 4 of them are women, the in-game dialogue often assumes you are male, to be honest this is more of a boy's game, though there's no reason why girls can't enjoy it. -- Last edit: 2006-10-27 19:22:43
Liberty City version. | ||
Vice City version. | ||
The San Andreas version.
Yes, why is this a Firebird? LeBonham = LeBaron.
This is the same car as the Sabre Turbo, so why are they listed as different makes?
I wanted to see a picture of the wagon, to see how the rest of the body compares.
Although the LTD Crown Victoria is more common as a Taxi, it still has the name "Portsmouth" which suggest it was named after a Plymouth car (both are English port towns). Although shouldn't this be a Gran Fury rather than a Caravelle? -- Last edit: 2006-11-01 11:51:10
Shouldn't it be "Fleetwood Brougham" rather than just Brougham?
It used to remind me of a Volvo as well, but there was a 4-door Buick Regal. www.ez-term-auto-sales.com/images/2830.jpg www.ez-term-auto-sales.com/images/2831.jpg
The grille is quite similar, but then on the Vice City Stories page, someone suggested the '84 Mercury Colony Park, which also has a similar grille. Could you show me a full picture of the Bonneville Safari, I can't find one.
Deep down I bet you'd at least like to have go on one of those bouncing G-rides, I would, even though I'm not a fan of gangsta-rap or hip-hop.
Basically a Freeway with saddlebags and a stars and strips paintjob.
What other companies make giant dump trucks? There's also Euclid. -- Last edit: 2006-10-24 00:39:03
I agree, Continental. | ||
Has the split front windscreen of a Typ2/T1 but the side windows are more like a Typ2/T2. But the shape of the front is more first generation so I'm going with that.
Since it has the name Windsor, I'm going to go with the E-Type. Yes, it also has elements of a Alfa-Romeo Spider, but with some cars you have to choose.
I wouldn't pay too much attention to that site, it's made some big mistakes in identifying things. -- Last edit: 2006-10-24 00:08:47
Actually I think it looks more like a Dodge Ram Van: www.imcdb.org/vehicle_98-Dodge-Ram-Van.html
The Lincoln Continental Mark V and Mark VI look pretty similar, though the Mark VI was smaller, and the Virgo is fairly compact compared to the Esperanto, so I'm tempted to call this a Mark VI, unless anyone can prove otherwise.
Sometimes somebody suggests something as a hunch rather than being sure of it, then it seems to automatically get changed to that before anyone else comments.
Who just changed it? |
