BMW 5 Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | Yes, quite a few of the cars in GTA3 have "Honda" wheels, probably just a coincidence.
Ford F-700 Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | It looks like one of those Ford trucks but I find the naming system confusing, C-series, F-Series, LN, all that stuff. -- Last edit: 2006-11-15 00:18:54
Kenworth W-900 L Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | This could also be a Peterbilt. -- Last edit: 2006-11-13 13:38:16
Porsche Boxster Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | I guess it is most like a Boxster after all, I just felt Stinger had to mean it was a Corvette, but I guess all they did was carry over the name from GTA1 so they wouldn't have to think of a new one.
Chevrolet Caprice Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | The rear is like a 1992+ Caprice, the side is also similiar, also this is a shorter car. Then there the badge which is very similar to a Ford's, I'm not sure about the front. Basically this is a bit a mesh of a 90s Crown Vic and Caprice, both are widely used in the US as Taxis and Police cars.
BMW 5 Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | We're really not sure about that, see the page on the Sentinel.

Vector M12 Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | I'd say it's more like the Vector M12.
Oldsmobile 442 Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | And the thing is the Sabre is more like an Olds 442.
Plymouth Reliant K Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | In the Joey Leone mission "Dead Skunk in the Trunk" you must take this Manana with the dead body of a Forelli family member in the trunk to the crusher. -- Last edit: 2019-07-28 20:59:14 (Klumb3r)
Chevrolet Express Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | Also comes with the logos of various Liberty City businesses: The interesting thing is that the factory that is one of the Triad fronts (which you have to blow up in the mission "Blow Fish") belongs to the Turtle Head Fishing Co., not the Belly-Up Fish and Seafood Processing Plant which is printed on the side of the Triad Fish Vans. -- Last edit: 2019-07-28 20:59:22 (Klumb3r)
Dodge Caravan Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | The Blista Compact in Vice City was clearly based on a Honda CRX, so maybe this is meant to be a Japanese make.
Vector M12 Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | Wikipedia describes as a cross between a Vector M12 and a Lamborghini Diablo. The latin word Infernus is the where the world Inferno comes from, which can be used as another word for Hell. Diablo is the Spanish word for Devil and Spanish originates from Latin.
Porsche Boxster Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | No I don't think so. Anyway the name Stinger is meant to be a play on the Chevy Corvette Stingray.
Ferrari Testarossa Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | The Cheetahs in Vice City and San Andreas are Ferrari Testarossas, and this shares the same basic shape, but some of the other details (like the rear) leave me unsure as to this should be.
Checker Marathon Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | If you complete 100 Taxi fares this souped-up Cabbie will spawn outside the Borgnine Taxis building in Portland. Presumably named after the famous character actor Ernest Borgnine who played a character called Cabbie in Escape From New York, although the cab he drove in that film wasn't maroon with spike on the bumpers like this one, it was a yellow cab with bullbars on the front. -- Last edit: 2006-12-05 20:52:39
Oldsmobile 442 Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | While the front is like an Olds 442 (except with single headlights) the rest of the car isn't.

Toyota Van Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | Although the thing about the import/export garages is one you complete the lists you don't get a bonus vehicle, you just have the option of being able to spawn one of the vehicles you've delivered on the list. I think you may have needed to do as part of the 100% completion. Notice how Mr Whoopee (the face on the side of the van) looks like Ronald McDonald.
Toyota Van Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | Yes, I remember the rarity of this vehicle I deliberately saved one in my garage as if it was a collectors item.
Dodge Intrepid Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | A much faster version of the Kuruma, used by FBI Agents, who come after you if you get a 5-Star Wanted Level.
Oldsmobile 442 Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | No way is the Stallion a Pontiac GTO.
Toyota Van Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | This is one of the hardest vehicles to get hold of in the game, it appears in the El Burro phone mission "I Scream, You Scream" (but the thing is you have blow it up in that mission), and can be found very, very occaisionally in Cedar Grove, Shoreside Vale (it sometimes appears at around 16:00 but it can be gone in an instant if you don't catch it). The thing is you need this for the one of the import/export garages, I later realised it sometimes appears as one of the burning vehicles in the Firefighter sub-missions. It's a funny looking vehicle, it looks a bit like one of those small Japanese vans. It's a bit like the vehicle was an afterthought, it has no radio and can't get dents like the other vehicles can. Instead of having a horn, it just plays an ice cream van jingle if you press the horn key. -- Last edit: 2006-11-09 11:21:03
Dodge Viper Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | To me this car isn't that much like the Viper, except for the rear.
Oldsmobile 442 Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | Only thing is that on other GTAs it is listed as a Pontiac GTO - should they be changed then?

Meyers Manx Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | The car Joey Leone is seen working on in the cutscene for his missions. After you complete the Portland missions, you can find this car parkside outside the apartment towers in Hepburn Heights during certain hours, which is where Joey's girlfriend Misty lives.
Vector M12 Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | The fastest car in the game.
Dodge Ram Van Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | A souped-up version of the Rumpo used by the South Side Hoods in the Shoreside Vale Projects. -- Last edit: 2006-11-08 15:35:00
Chevrolet Express Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | Based on the Pony. When you enter it, you start one of the Remote Control submissions where you have to blow up gang cars with little remote control cars. There is one on each island.
Cadillac Eldorado Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | The first Esperanto is a real land yacht, longer and with worse handling than it's successors in Vice City and San Andreas.
Porsche Boxster Grand Theft Auto III (2001) | The Yakuza version of the Stinger isn't actually as quick as the normal one but is easier to handle. -- Last edit: 2006-11-08 20:18:55 |
