The government ruled by generals was aligned with the US back then, it would be extremely improbable.. Yet, the Rio's cruiser in service at the 70's aside with the GM "Veraneio" or 'Summer-set' (who is not present in the game) was the Ford Corcel, but the in-game model doesn't match what should be its real life counter-part. The GAZ is indeed very similar, but if you pay attention, the front grid is pretty different from the game model. The front is 1957 Dodge (not 1958, since it has single headlights with smaller inboard indicators, rather than quad headlights), and the rear is 1957 Plymouth, thus it's a 1957 Kingsway. It has the side-trim of a '55 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-Dr, but the whole car body-style and features are definitely late-'50s full-size Chrysler, circa '57-'58 at the latest. The car reminds me most of a '58 Chrysler (rather than a De Soto or Dodge) - more specifically a Saratoga 4-Dr (body & fins) crossed with a foreign-market Dodge Kingsway (Front) circa the same year...  Then again, a lot of old US cars in Cuba are cobbled together with aftermarket parts! ^^ |
