Toyota MR2 Burnout (2001) | Silnev wrote As discovered from a beta build from September 2001, the Sport Coupe had a completely different design with a sort of generic coupe design. This design showed up in a few trailers for the game before going back to the MR2 look but altered as seen in the final release. Looks like a Fiat Coupe -- Last edit: 2024-09-25 14:22:34 (Silnev)
Dodge Viper Burnout (2001) | Silnev wrote As discovered from a beta build from September 2001, the Muscle was originally a completely different design resembling a SN95 Mustang. Reused later on Burnout 2 as a Sport. -- Last edit: 2024-09-25 14:22:52 (Silnev)

Scania 4-Series Burnout (2001) | It's a shame they didn't make a similar European truck for Burnout 3's European and Asian tracks, which always seemed out of place and fun to use the Peterbilt 352 because it was a cabover.
Geo Metro Burnout (2001) | The front are from the Geo Metro, but in overall looks more a 1999 Honda Civic hatchback.
Burnout (2001) | Hello Silnev, how you acess the free camera on those old games?
GM TDH 5303 Burnout (2001) | Honestly wished you had the option to use oversized vehicles like this in future games outside of crash mode. Using a bus in a Road Rage event would be absolute mayhem.
Dodge Viper Burnout (2001) | I wish they keep both early and final vehicles for the final version instead of Muscle being a replacement for the Thunderbolt GT, the old one looks so good: -- Last edit: 2024-06-29 21:22:22
Lotus Elise Burnout (2001) | burnoutgt24 wrote fun fact in the beta it originally looked like a porsche boxster instead of a lotus same happen to the muscle car it was a ford mustang instead of a dodge viper -- Last edit: 2024-06-29 21:16:56

Burnout (2001) | The September 12th 2001 build has a Honda Prelude styled "Sport Coupe" instead of the Toyota MR2-like model for the final build.
Burnout (2001) | Speedevil wrote Twilight Harbour is just Harbour Town in reverse, I don't think it should be listed in the locations list. It's got a different name, it's allowed. Both routes have actual reverse tracks.

Burnout (2001) | Silnev wrote Another fun fact that the pre-release there was a car based off the SN95 Mustang that was cut from the final game, however it's model was reused as a traffic vehicle in Burnout 3. This traffic vehicle doesn't are listed on IGCD page?

Burnout (2001) | Fun fact: During development, Burnout featured traffic police cars (and a few other vehicles, plus an entire Asian themed map) that didn't make it to the final release. The model was later used for the Cop Car in Burnout 2, with a higher polycount. -- Last edit: 2023-02-26 15:00:54
Toyota MR2 Burnout (2001) | Something interesting is that the pre-release version of this car was alot closer in design to an MR2, looking almost like a SW20 with a AW11 front. Considering it was showing up in trailers like that and was even on the box art in that design, means that the design change must have come pretty late into development. Forgive the quality of the pictures, game trailers from 2000 tend to not be in the best quality.
Burnout (2001) | The original names Muscle(Thunderbolt GT MK2) Pickup(UT500 Jackhammer) Supermini(Frente GL) Bus(Hudson 418) Saloon(Longbow EXC 300) Roadster(Sabre) Saloon GT(Tenrai VII) Tow Truck(Grizzly) Sports Coupe(Venom SX)
Leyland National Burnout (2001) | @TA-caprice-XI That ain't no coincidence – it looks almost identical to the National! Pretty odd for a game set in the US tbh.
Toyota MR2 Burnout (2001) | Beta version used on Cover
Toyota MR2 Burnout (2001) | Although the front end does resemble a Lexus, the rest of the car is 100% Civic Del Sol. Please update, Admin.
Lexus GS 300 Burnout (2001) | lol shouldn't this be common automotive knowledge? Even I knew when I was ten!
Lexus GS 300 Burnout (2001) | Aginnon wrote I noticed that. Gran Turismo 4 mentions Lexus being American for some reason. Probably because Lexus wasn't sold in Japan yet when GT4 came out. The cars are all Japanese origin, but like Acura and Infiniti, they started on the American market.

Burnout (2001) | Speedevil wrote If I remember correctly it only appears in River City and Harbour Town, it would make more sense for it to be a Picasso if I'm right. Nah , this van appears on every track in the game.
Burnout (2001) | Burn Rubber wrote It actually looks like a Dodge Caravan or Plymouth Voyager with a wonky front. I will try t get a good rear shot, But this game is very hard to get traffic car pictures on sometimes. Lotus Elise Burnout (2001) | Well, er-, uh- it's a bit late for that. I uploaded them hours before you started collecting...
Lotus Elise Burnout (2001) | I already have a new page awaiting to be accepted along with the Supermini. Don't worry, they're much better than my horrible job with the muscle.
Fiat Punto Burnout (2001) | Very nice front shot.
Dodge Viper Burnout (2001) | Racedriver43 wrote http://imgur.com/K0wCWxn Here's a better front shot. It's still very much from the front actually. Not looking at the fact that the rear picture is so zoomed out, it's at a good angle.

Fiat Punto Burnout (2001) | I know it has only one doorhandle but it looks like a 5 door anyway so it's hard to see any Lupo in this
Fiat Punto Burnout (2001) | reminds me of Volkswagen Lupo.
Dodge Viper Burnout (2001) | Burn Rubber wrote These are not much better than the old one... I had already provided pictures for this car on its old listng. Why didn't an admin just change the pictures? here are ingames pics
Ford F-150 SVT Lightning Burnout (2001) | Burn Rubber wrote Good luck with that. Try to do that on Need for Speed wiki and see what happens. I would know. I tried. As for other Wikis, they should be fine. I know the NFS wiki stole pictures of the traffic cars in the first games, but did they steal anything else?
Ford F-150 SVT Lightning Burnout (2001) | You know, it's a wiki. You can edit the pages yourself, so if you don't want them to steal "our" pictures, I suggest you take screenshots yourself and post them there.
Ford F-150 SVT Lightning Burnout (2001) | Aaand this.

Ford F-150 SVT Lightning Burnout (2001) | Burn Rubber wrote I can't fix that. Sorry. My PC can't handle it. I'll upload the rear pictures for the unlockable cars then, if you haven't taken them yet. I can run this game through a Gamecube emulator with the highest anti-aliasing settings.
Ford F-150 SVT Lightning Burnout (2001) | Burn Rubber wrote What's wrong with the picture? Jaggy edges, losts of them
Ford F-150 SVT Lightning Burnout (2001) | Burn Rubber wrote Rinspeed please don't nag about this... Did you take those pictures using an emulator? You might want to enable some anti-aliasing. |
