Dodge Viper Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) | Not really. Only the rear kind of looked like a Series One. It's still mostly a Viper despite the changed front fascia. Better to leave it as is. -- Last edit: 2024-05-19 18:30:48
Dodge Viper Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) | And yet there's another car that *somewhat* looks like a Viper in the same vehicle class, so it's kind of strange that they'd have modified this one so heavily while still intending it to be a Viper. Plus the whole design looks closer to a Series 1 now than a Viper. Though tbf the Series 1's overall line definitely ressembles that of the 90s cab' Viper. So should it be switched to a Series 1 or left as a Viper then?
Dodge Viper Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) | Comparing the pre-release design compared to the final, it seems that the intention was that this was meant to be a Viper but it got changed, possibly because the old design was too close to the actual car. Resulting in the Shelby style rear. It's not the only car in 3 to get this treatment, and not even the first car in the Burnout series to get this happen (the MR2 from Burnout 1 comes to mind). This version of the car actually appeared in a trailer from April of 2004, meaning that this change happened really late into development. -- Last edit: 2024-05-18 17:59:26
Dodge Viper Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) | To me, it looks like a cross between a Shelby Series 1 and a Lotus Elise GT1.
Dodge Viper Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) | The closest I could find was a Shelby Series 1 as well. Definitely not a Viper tho.
Honda Civic Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) | AudiRS4 a écrit I've always thought the rear reminded me of a first gen Audi A3. This isn't an EG by the slightest by the way, it looks way bulkier. The design are heavily modified, the side Windows format and the others porpotions matches with the Civic.

Tom's W123 MR-S Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) | I think it's not just an MR-S, but a Tom's W123. Both this and the Type 1 share the same roof bit so I guess this one is a modified variant of the Type 1, plus like the W123 it tries to look like a Porsche.

Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) | auntiealiasing a écrit I would highly recommend adding a cut vehicles section for the early designs of the cars in this game, like the page for Horizon Chase does. There were radical differences, such as the Tuned Compact/Compact DX originally being a Z3 M Coupe Horizon Chase's cut entries are allowed because those models were released as part of the final game, that later were subsequently updated in a patch released sometime after the game was released. We don't allow beta designs that were only part of pre-release/beta builds. -- Last edit: 2023-10-14 19:40:58

BMW M3 Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) | Victor_2003 a écrit I think its a Mitsubishi Lancer 7 (by front) mixed with Toyota Celica rear. After searching for much about this car, i heard in Reddit that this car looks a heavily modified BMW Z3 M coupe. I found later a video showing possible beta car models in the original game via modification and this car had a model similar to Z3 M coupe, but i can't find a beta image to proof that the model in the video is truthful. Anyway, don't have another real car that is the inspiration of this than the M3 E46 by front, rear and the 1996 Toyota Celica for rear.

Bentley Speed 8 Burnout 3: Takedown (2004) | Frankly this doesn't look that similar to a Panoz. I think this is meant to be a Bentley Speed 8 like TheLegendC15 and mr.mopar69 said. It looks like the developers cut off the ass and shortened it giving a rear inspired by the zonda. |
