Buick GNX Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | It begs the question though why all of these cars are called Buick GNX on IGCD. Isn't the official name Buick Regal GNX? I thought people just dropped Regal because everyone knows what a GNX is anyway.
Buick GNX Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | That'll be why I said "GNX that's been painted yellow." I don't define a car by it's colour. As much as you dislike the notion cars can be repainted. That yellow Regal has GNX style vents in the front wings. Little bit more definitive than the owner's preferred palette.
Buick GNX Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | It shouldn't have been changed in the first place. And a mistake repeated is still a mistake. Thing is if someone who really knows about these cars comes along and sees that I've made the entry are going to assume I'm the one that goofed and called it a 'Buick GNX'. And yes. www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=83925 Here is a Buick Regal GNX that's been painted yellow (noted as a GNX by the vents in the front wings.)
Volvo 240 Estate Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Again . . . Estate is not the model. 240 is the model. Estate is the body type. The 240 Series was available in 2 or 4 door saloon (sedan) or estate (station wagon).
Buick GNX Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | They didn't have to change it. The first entry was not only fine it was accurate. They've changed it to an inaccurate version. Thing is I've met GNX purists who pulled this sort of stuff before. They honestly think it's a totally separate car. They don't like being reminded it's a Buick Regal because they think the Regal is below them. This is almost as bad as that one person who smugly corrected me when I correctly identified the 425cc Citroën 2CV as a Type AZ and not a Type A as Polyphony called it. -- Last edit: 2016-04-29 01:54:46
Buick GNX Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | I know this was going to happen. "It says Buick GNX in the game." Thing is Polyphony don't always get it 100% right. In real life this car is a Buick Regal GNX (Grand National Experimental). As you can see in the link below, for a 1987 Buick Regal Turbo-T, it's same car apart from wheels, trim and edition name. s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/05/a7/ef/05a7eff026ae6807e651c587e3aa8470.jpg It's only Polyphony and crazy Regal GNX purists who think it's a different car. In fact looking over the blurb in the game it even says right there the GNX was the Buick Regal GN's last hurrah. -- Last edit: 2016-04-29 01:42:03
Volvo 240 Estate Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Yeah . . . my two regrets is that I can't disguise the pixelation on the D-pillar and that I know I can do the intermediate in Deep Forest Raceway, but I just can't without wrinkling it's 'good looks'. She tends to slosh which isn't a bad thing and something I can usually turn to my advantage especially on a technical like this but she's too big and heavy to check mid-slosh without hitting someone. So for that reason you're seeing the Red Bull short ring. -- Last edit: 2016-04-28 19:11:05
Buick GNX Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme were also GM G's, a platform so renowned for it's instability the phrase 'G-Body Shuffle' became coined.
Mitsubishi Airtrek Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | I'd say the shots are bad, but that's because the car is poorly detailed, which is a big issue with Gran Turismo.
Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Alternative shots: orig04.deviantart.net/1d41/f/2016/117/d/5/2cv_005_by_truemouse-da0gpac.png orig14.deviantart.net/3c46/f/2016/117/8/0/2cv_006_by_truemouse-da0gqg8.png And yes that's the Red Bull short ring, and yes that's the Beginner Seasonal (450pp), and yes that's a 2001 Honda NSX that's just been put into 2nd by a Citroën 2CV Type AZ, and no, I'm not being a troll. Let me explain. If you want to attempt this the trick is to forget the power. This is not your run of the mill stiffened race machine. Soften the hell outta the suspension, plan your approaches and exits carefully, find your rhythm, don't collide with traffic, use the ORZ's if you have to (remember that in F1 the only rule they have regarding over run zones is that you keep all four wheels in the box when passing the line¹) don't slow down and keep on the accelerator at all times. NEVER BRAKE. I cannot stress this enough. After the chicanes before the back straight you'll notice you'll be catching up when they're braking far too early and far too hard. If you follow these guidelines you should be able to take 14th out of 16 on your first try. Then it's a matter of practise for you to find your own rhythm and you'll get ahead of the traffic and eventually ahead of the AI's 'Hero' car. You should see real 2CV racing some time and you'll see what I mean. Search for "Sparrow 2CV" on Youttube (yeah it's got a BMW R Series but it's still an air cooled flat twin bike engine and most important the running gear is all stock.) And for those few who actually liked my jumping shots . . . look up "Seppe's Jump" on Youttube. ¹ just double checked that. There's been a recent change in F1 rules. The revised regulations for 2016 states drivers “must make every reasonable effort” to stay within track limits and must have a “justifiable reason” if they do leave the track. I think "Not colliding with and killing other drivers and myself" counts as a "justifiable reason". -- Last edit: 2016-05-03 18:22:55
Mazda Carol 360 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | What a beauty
Hyundai HCD6 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Yes TVR are so beautiful, but this car is quite ugly, yeah it's a concept but it's one of the ugliest sports car I've stumbled upon in a while
Mazda Savanna RX-7 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Oh Gran Turismo, why must you do this. First they differentiate between premium cars and standard cars, and then they just add standard cars from one game to another without even looking whether the details are correct. Is Gran Turismo 6 just like 5 where they just had the Japanese Mazda Roadster, American MX-5 Miata and the European MX-5 all in the same game? (And ALL of the different versions? (And ALL of the cars with regional differences in names? )) -- Last edit: 2016-04-26 23:15:59
Mitsubishi Airtrek Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Burn Rubber a écrit Do you realize the camera locks to this angle and is about impossible to change when taking a pic from this area? That's why it looks like this. It would take about 5 minutes of fine tuning to change it to that way! I agree with the edit from my comment you didn't see. I guess that's a complaint with the game's photo mode then.
Mazda Savanna RX-7 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Burn Rubber a écrit Game didn't call it one so I didn't do it. I also forgot FC in the chassis. Do you know if the steering wheel is on the left or right side? It might be a mistake in regional versions, as it was called RX-7 outside of Japan. They might have switched the steering wheel to the other side but forgot to alter the text on the rear.
Mitsubishi Airtrek Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Burn Rubber a écrit The hell? No it's not... May I ask what is wrong with it? It's more of a side shot than a rear shot, I think it would be better if you could see both taillights.
Mitsubishi Airtrek Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | *Airtrek, also rear pic is terrible.
Mazda Savanna RX-7 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Should be called Savanna RX-7 as it says so on the rear.
Jaguar E-Type Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Noko Tau a écrit Alternative for the front shot. To be honest I'm not feeling this car which is odd since I've been an avid fan when I was a kid. orig15.deviantart.net/106b/f/2016/117/e/d/e_type_coupe_1961_001_by_truemouse-da0g2e0.png I think the convertible looks so much better, it's a shame they chose the coupé instead.

Hyundai HCD6 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | I already deleted the First Audi a3 because there was no rear shot.
Hyundai HCD6 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Burn Rubber a écrit Actually, EVERY car is unlockable but he Honda Fit. As the game forces you to buy that car before any others. Thus meaning you have to complete the first 1 or 2 races before you can buy any other cars Urgh... why do i have to repeat myself once every 6 months? Its NOT unlockable! Unlockable means you get this car for free, either by cheats or by finishing a special objective (this i say for every game). What you mean is "purchaseable" and not "Unlockable". Putting an unlockable star on every car is completely useless and utterly stupid. So please, for the sake of humanity, stop putting Unlockable stars and "How to obtain fields" on GT6 cars... thank you!! Btw, as you mention it: The Honda Fit could be considered "Unlockable", as you get it for free. Same goes for the Anniversary cars, you get them for free too. All i have to do all day long is checking your GT6 contributions: Double entries (the Audi A3 3.2 quattro for example), naming mistakes and false "How to obtain" fields. I am slightly annoyed. -- Last edit: 2016-04-25 03:59:20
Hyundai HCD6 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | TVR's aren't ugly. They have really uncommon looks, but this design is absolutely terrible. On the other hand it's a concept, it's not made to look good as a whole.
Hyundai HCD6 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | enzo96 a écrit Am I the only one who thinks that this is one of the ugliest cars ever? The front looks like a chopped out Toyota MR-S and the rear looks like something from TVR lol not to mention, that arse looks hideous I shit you not, TVRs are so ugly they are beautiful. The people who designed this car clearly took that approach too seriously.

Hyundai Clix Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | It's a concept car not a production coupe car..
Lotus Carlton Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Seriously, if you dont know the price, leave the "How to obtain" field open! Thank you... I added the prize now but do it next time correctly or you make me really angry. -- Last edit: 2016-04-24 11:36:36

Blastolene Special Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | speedfreak975 a écrit Yes I know but it says Jay Teno Polyphony only accidentally discovered the Blastolene Special Tank Car when they were snooping around Jay Leno's garage looking for new engine sounds. That's probably why they thought it was Jay Leno's own creation. Jay Leno owns it, but he didn't build it. In the same way that Ralph Lauren owns a $40 million 1938 Bugatti 57sc Atlantic, it remains a Bugatti, not a Ralph Lauren 57sc Atlantic. (Jay Leno also owns a blue 57sc Atlantic clone built around a 'regular' 1937 Bugatti 57s chassis. I doubt it even started life as an sc.) The Blastolene Special was designed by Michael Leeds and built by Randy Grubb. Of all the Randy Grubb creations it's possibly one of the most ordinary vehicles they've built. Take for instance the 1940 Packard Streamliner and Rocket 3 quad bike. Now if THESE were in Gran Turismo Sport . . . Although my two favourites would be the Blastolene B-702 (GMC 11½ litre V12 & Allison 4-speed auto) with hand blown tail lights and the Deco Tri-pod (Piaggio MP3 scooter) The Brotherhood of the Blastolene is a 'loose confederation of automotive artists' who support each other through amazing outrageous art-deco projects such as the ones I've mentioned. Blastolene was named after a barbecue sauce Michael Leeds created for a restaurant he used to own. Although Blastolene cars are very definitely art they're not considered 'art cars'. Not like Chip Foose's Impression or Boyd Coddington's Cadzilla. These are ground-up creations designed and built to stir primal emotions in the very core of every onlooker, not to win trophies at car shows. Imagine if Polyphony took a serious interest in Blastolene creations. We could be hooning around and feeling the lean at the auxiliary controls on the flying bridge of the Decoliner, or scaring rally spectators with a savage looking Blown Ranger. -- Last edit: 2016-04-23 08:55:29
Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | PikesPeak a écrit Can this car past 200 mph like in old days ? Can you set it up to pop a wheelie and travel at unfathomable speeds until it flew off the course, the map and the Playstation would have a conniption and crash with a flicker of the screen and a sound like sitting on an over-ripe potato like the old days?

Fiat Barchetta Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Had about 20 of these in my fleet at SixT, Rhein Main AFB. They were brilliant to drive. If you ever get an opportunity you need to try them out. Even took one for the work's weekend at Nürburgring.
Fiat 500 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Burn Rubber a écrit FYI I completely changed my profile. Removing that "love and hate list". Aw, you're growing up. I'm so proud.
Fiat 500 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | that one with beige car, dunno whose it was well this one is fine too
Fiat 500 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | this pic is fine
Fiat 500 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | @ Burn Rubber: If you could stop adding the "How to purchase" section that would be great. Please only add this if you know the prize of the car. Shouldn't be so hard if you own the game. Just go into car dealerships.
Fiat 500 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Nope, they're beige and boring. The only reason admins are replacing my pictures with yours is that you spammed the hell out of them with your whining and complaining. That's all you're good at. Whine and complain like a spoilt little brat. I'm guessing mommy and daddy don't say 'no' to you enough. You have a list of people you hate and love and you don't see how childish that is? And yes it does blend in. You chose a beige car that matches almost perfectly the beige building in the background. But that's you in a nutshell. Beige.

Fiat 500 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Beige car almost blending in with a beige background. Sounds like a Rubbery is in progress. Meanwhile on the other side of my rear shot . . . orig05.deviantart.net/efd7/f/2016/111/2/4/500_f_68_003_by_truemouse-d9zs5jg.jpg Red 500 in front of a blurred, out of focus Yellow FD, grey track and green grass. Can't fail to lose it now. Not saying admins need to replace the first image with mine, but this is here as a comparison so folks can actually see it. And yes, it's passing a heavier RX-7 on a corner. More than twice the weight in fact. 1,100 lbs Vs 2,685–2,954 lb Balanced mid engine Vs Nose heavy front engine Maintaining speed Vs Slamming anchors Does a diagram really need to be drawn? Or can people finally understand the principles behind a technical circuit is to make it a level playing field? If it were a question of 'who has the most horses wins' then there's very little point to racing.

Ford Mustang Mach 1 Gran Turismo 6 (2013) | Razor440 a écrit Missed a couple details. It didn't have a rear spoiler (by the way, that rear spoiler is NOT stock) Didn't have a front spoiler Didn't have hood pins, Obviously did not have Magnum 500 style wheels or lettered radial tires. (it had the "Ford Motor Company" hubcaps on steel wheels, bias-ply tires with a thin white stripe decoration, Didn't have the "hockey stick" stripe. Only a black lower panel with a "Mach 1" decal. Oh yeah...and you forgot this movie where the Mustang IS the star... Ahem. I was trying to say that amongst the Bond cars was a Colorado red Mach 1. I'm not trying to replicate the Bond car, that's just the colour it came in. Spoilers and hoods pins are subtle period accessories. I add them because they are particular to this car. I could have removed the decals but then it would look even less stock. I didn't forget Eleanor, it's just not worth saying "Believe it or not" over. When people think of Gone In Sixty Seconds they think of a Mustang (Even the remake). When people think of Bond they think Aston Martin, Lotus or BMW. They might even think of a yellow 2CV6 gallivanting down the side of a Spanish olive grove. However few look at a Mach 1 and think 'Bond'.
