Scarface: The World Is Yours (2006)
I wanted to make this a small continuation of the general info about the game, but anyway, to summarize (or in TL;DR speak):

-The game's gotten quite a fair bit of unique mechanics at play.
-The game's money system is a bit complex with its separation of legitimate and illegitimate earnings, and the ability to withdraw money via banks.
-Progression is tied to your Reputation rank and requires exorbitant amounts of dollars.
-The cops are unforgiving, extremely lethal, and spawn in mass swarms, and even has a mechanic that renders your survival completely nil if you don't escape in time.
-The drug runs, distribution runs and taking out gangs is the sole way to earn money.
-Licensed music is awesome imo, and it's not just the Scarface songs. Many songs from the likes of Public Enemy, and several modern songs fit the bill.

Nearly 20 years on, how does the game hold up? Would this still be recommended, given the unique (albeit archaic) mechanics? Or is it just painfully difficult?

Mercedes-Benz SL

The Sims: FreePlay (2011)
Once again, I just don't see a single bit of SL in this car. The whole car is totally modeled wrong for a SL.

Surely I believe this is MFG > SL.

I certainly can see those lights too. Maybe it's based on one of those NASCAR Camaro ZL1 they've been using recently?

What importance is there about a 16:9 ratio? I know you're correct on the cropping, which I just did, for example, for the one of the cars that got remastered in Transport Fever 2.

The Sims: FreePlay (2011)
I'm with MFG, this car doesn't even resemble any real car at all.

Scarface: The World Is Yours (2006)
From its "You Fucked Up" mantra, to its vividly, timely designed era of Miami's violence era of the 1980s, and to its extreme gore only surpassed by Prototype, Scarface: The World Is Yours is fairly insane in its concept. A name likeness based on an iconic license, the south Florida locale, decent variety of weapons and cars, and a unique, yet awkward progression system make for a relatively niche game, where no game so far has managed to surpass in the open world department. Even with Andre Sogliuzzo, who just so happens to voice Tony, the protagonist, has somewhat decent writing chops. Whereas Grand Theft Auto: Vice City had many references to Scarface, including its mansion, this title is very much the name. And the game's central focus is all about the drugs, money, women, and getting as much exotics as possible. There's a lot of interesting concepts about it: The separation of clean and dirty money, the excessive advent of gore and one of the first open-world games to have executions, the ability to buy and sell drugs, a "Balls" mechanic (which frankly I'm not sure what that's for apart from health regen), and yes, an actual shark.

Progression is tied to the exotics level (if I'm not mistaken), and the game's pretty much like this. You need to raise money to buy various paraphernalia, including new weapons, businesses or fronts, items for the mansion, the ability to travel to the Islands, pay off gang and cop heat (and I will talk in detail about how brutal the cops are) via bribes, and of course, buying exotic cars, through drug distribution runs, attacking gangs, and buying/selling drugs.

Let me warn you about the police in this game: they are absolutely brutal. Unlike most open world games, where the police aren't much of a threat, these cops in Miami are extremely unforgiving, commonplace, and lethal. Any sort of violence will send the cops in your general location, but what makes this worse with this game is that if you don't lose them in time (as there's a timer on the minimap) or get out of the red zone, you will be in the "You Are Fucked" state. During this state, law enforcement will completely swarm Miami, determined to kill you in mere seconds. The HUD will be gone, and you have mere seconds to react. Did you think you could survive this state? You most likely can't. The cops are absolutely overpowered as they will swarm your general area and will shoot you dead. You can try to escape by car, but their weapons are very powerful and will shred a car (even one with armor too) within the space of 10 seconds. They're the very definition of relentless. And in most cases, getting to this state can even fail missions. Did I mention killing them will lose your balls - which is one of the advantages of getting health back via the rage mode?

Unfortunately I have to agree with Bruisemobile in that statement. Sure the design may have been based on an old locomotive, but it has wheels, which automatically makes it a MFG Locomotive.

Confirmed NOT part of the base game. This is the kind of scummy tactic modern racing games have, and insultingly, it was prominently featured on the Games Showcase event AND Forza Monthly.

Evolving design seems to be a new thing for games lately. Just seen it happen with Transport Fever 2 for example, which prompted me to replace the entries.

Forza Motorsport (2023)
At least six cars are no longer confirmed to be in the base game. For now, they'll be listed as unplayable.

Here's the quote:
Editor’s Note (March 2, 2023): We’ve updated this blog to remove mentions of some cars that will not be available in the base Forza Motorsport game. We’ll share more in the future when those vehicles will be coming to Forza Motorsport and how they can be obtained. We apologize for any confusion.

Transport Fever 2 (2019)
Major update announcement for this game. For the first time ever over 85 cars in the game have been given a major remodel. That means I gotta get all of them replaced since so many of them were changed.

This update focuses on the older Transport Fever models from the last game and I will check to see if they've updated it. There's also the Deluxe Edition.

Also, one more thing, production years are not model years. Reverting to 2015.

And yes, I've kept begging SCS to add this to ATS, because I've been the torchbearer to have this model to remove the S-Max.

I mean come on, why is SCS so hesitant to convert it to ATS? They did this to the Mustang when it showed up to ETS2 update 1.31, and both variants made it to ATS (albeit the convertible model has different rims) in update 1.32.

Between 1.30 and 1.47 (as of this writing) there have been 17 major game updates in the six years this model arrived to ETS2 and ATS still hasn't got one. It remains ETS2 exclusive all while the Ford S-Max remains in ATS. This has to stop.

Why is this regular W900 listed as "cut" now? The 100th Anniversary edition didn't replace this, they are still separate models that are purchased separately from what I can see. Also, the pics for this entry should be updated, since the model was updated.

I'll do it when I got time.

Anniversary editions like special versions are not duplicates. My pics weren't modified, as there's a entry on the dealership.

Unfortunately these pics weren't updated at all. I don't understand why RushCars didn't bother with these when there was a major graphical upgrade in 1.40 beyond.

From these old comments, this goes back to a time when EA wound up getting the exclusive license to Porsche. Especially when Forza Motorsport 4 was meant to get them, via the sub-licensing offer but that was revoked when EA decided to block Porsche from that game.

Also high on the dirty factor is that this model along side the Aventador is relegated to the Limited Edition version.

So this truck seems to be evolving as it goes, as the recent batch of WIP screens for the Oklahoma DLC have added several upfit combinations of the pickup.

So far I've seen a farm modification, one carrying a boat trailer, and one used for general utilities. All of which will likely release in update 1.47, presumably coinciding with the Oklahoma DLC.

Though sadly, each one will have to be individually represented.
