Vxctec photo_librarymode_comment 2023-09-08 02:04 | Then the Caliber appears in Need For Speed: Unbound as a traffic vehicle. Even if EA wants to keep these vehicles in the NFS franchise as NPC cars, I think it's time for them to put more new/modern traffic cars in their games (Not only the second-generation Leaf and Yukon of course).

2023-08-18 22:54 | It's licensing that dictates what's allowed for cars to be drivable. Just pointin' that out. It would be unkind to GM to allow one of their subsidiaries to have their cars modified. That's the reason why some cars are best kept as traffic cars.

Antti-san photo_librarymode_comment 2023-05-24 17:46 | rayjunhwang1357x a écrit Do you know what's the difference between 1968 and 1967 models? Its in-game year lists as a 1967, but this one is a 1968. The 1968 model added sidemarker lights, so yes, this would be a 1968 and not a 1967 one.

Victor_2003 photo_librarymode_comment 2023-04-18 15:02 | Vxctec a écrit If that is what companies want in their video games. What I am saying is that the Yukon is included as a traffic vehicle in Heat and Unbound (Except that in Unbound, it only spawns as a parked vehicle) so they won't bother to make a playable one. Having a playable car/SUV/truck that also comes as a traffic car doesn't make the game look good. The companies can control the modifications, damage and Illegal street racing questions, i don't think they can decided of the vehicle are for traffic or not.
Vxctec photo_librarymode_comment 2023-04-17 22:16 | Victor_2003 a écrit Add playable suvs and pickups in racing games makes the vehicle catalog have more variety, Midnight Club 3 was one example. KarltheLG photo_librarymode_comment 2023-04-07 04:23 | Vxctec a écrit Licensing problems since they signed a deal which doesn't allow their cars in Need For Speed games (Toyota). I think Toyota only asking European developers to not to put their vehicles in their games (or containing illegal street racing, unless it's Japan). I can even have Toyota vehicles in an NFS-based anime novel that was rated 18+. It includes concept cars, formula one vehicles, and trucks (pick-ups and SUVs). Even the Toyota design study concept cars can be in NFS and Asphalt!

Victor_2003 photo_librarymode_comment 2023-04-06 12:58 | Vxctec a écrit It wouldn't make sense to them to add vehicles that don't fit the street racing genre in my honest opinion. Majority of the SUVs in Need For Speed are barely played by anyone. They also won't allow it to be playable since it already comes as a traffic vehicle. Vxctec photo_librarymode_comment 2023-04-06 02:10 | Antti-san a écrit Street racing games used to have a lot of SUVs in them, though? Midnight Club 3 springs to mind, for one. Yes, but the number of SUVs in racing games have partially decreased. Gaming companies usually allow lower class vehicles to adapt more to the racing genre. The Yukon already comes as a traffic vehicle like the Infiniti G35. If you talk about this to EA, it is unlikely they would take it into consideration.
