| Why is the Eckhart brand spelt with a "d", in game its spelt like "Eckhart". | |
| Why is vehicle brand shown as Eckhardt, It displays as Eckhart when character climbs aboard vehicle? | |

| stratumx wrote Parry bus has two variants: single-deck and double-deck. Maybe it should be mentioned twice. I have completed all the main mission and all the side mission. But till date I didn't see the double deck version spawns.. Where did you found it? | |
| I think this page is completed, all showroom, images from internet and all low quality shots had been replaced.. Except the Shubert Six Detective is not listed as the car no longer spawn in the game anymore as I have completed the game. That car only spawns in early stages of the game. Would appreciate if someone can list the Shubert Six Detective. Do let me know if there are any other cars I missed out. -- Last edit: 2020-10-17 15:26:59 | |

| I will try to start adding vehicles starting tomorrow.. Currently there are too many contributors on this page and we need a consistency on the camera angle, image style etc.. However I need more time to complete it.. | |

| One of the boats from Mafia III is in the game, but it's not normally accessible. You need to find a way to jump on it while it's in the water and steal it. You steal it from the west or east river, and can only go between the two rivers. Any attempt to go south or north into the countryside teleports you back with the boat. | |
| stryder237 wrote You cannot change the time of day, weather You can change this by walking up to the pictures on the wall in the board room of Saleri's bar. Also upstairs in the office. You can't change spawn location but there are garages around the city where you can pull out cars from your garage. I do agree tho. More variety would have been nice. Late game and 80% of the cars parked within the city seem to be Airstreamer's. I wish you could store specific cars even if it's only 2-3 so you wouldn't have to stroll through the 45 car list every time. Car sounds and manual transmission are both awesome. So happy to be able to cruise at low RPM. | |
| I've spent the last two days playing this game - I have 45 out of the 50 cars unlocked in the carcylopedia and have completed the story. I like the game and the story, and it is a mostly faithful remaster story-wise. Some lines are different and some missions have changed slightly, but the story had no glaring issues - although it's been ages since I last played the original. The city is also accurate enough for me to know where I'm going without a map based on memory of the previous game - although there are differences. The countryside is unrecognizable and very hilly. The gunplay is basically the same as Mafia 3. The driving is good, realistic like all the Mafia games. You also have a manual shifting option like the original game. Unfortunately, I think this game was rushed. Some aspects are very fleshed out, with new news reports, callbacks to the original game, yet other areas are lacking. There's even a re-used car dealer advert - featuring a 50s car, seen across the city. There are only a handful of civilian models, all in dull low detail outfits, which takes away from the setting somewhat. You can't ride the tram or train. Free ride extreme does not return, and you have no options for normal free ride. You cannot change the time of day, weather, spawn location, traffic, or spawn with any vehicle. You have access to most of the cars in a garage, however not every vehicle. (No police cars, trucks, etc.) Unfortunately, many cars are missing. The Crusader, Guardian, Wright, Falconer, and Thor do not return. The fast Thor (812) does return, and the game has a car named Falconer, but it much larger, similar to the Lassiter. All the unlockable hotrods are gone, and all the different body styles are gone. The 2/4dr/coupe/roadster of the Bolt Ace, Bolt V8, Bolt Model B are all gone. The Bolts are only 2-door roadsters or coupes. The only returning late-game cars are the Ulver Airstream (now the Culver Airstreamer) and Scubert Extra Six, now called the Delux. This is a shame as the cars that are here are amazing recreations of the original cars. Many new cars are added, mostly luxury and trucks. This is why I think the game was rushed. Several new vehicles are extremely similar to other vehicles in the game, and many of the commercial vehicles are beautiful but useless to gameplay - yet the late game has so few cars. Because of the lack of vehicles, the streets are barren most of the game with only two or three cars spawning at any one time. This is such a shame. The map and cars from Mafia 1 are iconic. I've driven the map in dozens of games and driven the cars in many games - all as mods. It's a shame they didn't get the HD remake they deserved. I'm also very annoyed that the Lassiter V16 Fordor does not come in a green and white colour scheme. It's petty but they should have included it. -- Last edit: 2020-09-26 23:51:29 | |
| Got this game today (pre ordered from steam) I have to say it is amazing....one of the best game of the Mafia series.... | |
| I just hope that this will contain an Extra scene in which Tommy will survive........ | |
| It was confirmed that Freeride would return in the game. So this gives me hope that they will go as close to the original game as possible | |
| Man, i loved the original Mafia, but this? i dont know, i mean its 2K Games making and publishing this thing so i think trepedation should be a requirement when going with this one, because we don't know what they will do with it remember this are the people who published Mafia III and that game was garbage on release. | |
| Good!, I am a big fan of the original mafia, let's hope this game won't be disappointing like mafia iii.. Really looking forward on this game -- Last edit: 2020-05-31 15:55:51 | |
| This was a very nice surprise, really looking forward to this. I love the Mafia series. | |
| According to the steam link above, you can just get the Mafia 1 remake on its own. | |
| Well the best thing they could do is restore Mafia II and bring back all the cut missions, cut content, etc that was scraped to make the game come out quicker.. But hey I have 0 confidence that will happen. I just hope they don't mess it up. In all honesty I'll only be getting this for the remade Mafia 1. Already own all 3 original games. And Mafia III is the fist one I never even bothered to finish. was not even a mafia game. But yep. Only time will tell. | |
| If you buy the definitive edition, you'll unlock Lincoln's Samson Drifter in Mafia II. | |
| Well lets hope so. Maybe if we are lucky it just means more cars. The delivery trucks I see in some screenshots are new. and hey. the first car we got after the taxi missions was the model t so it would not feel right without it. But lets hope the taxi is just.. Another taxi variant :P Guess it depends how different the game is. | |
| TunaMouth wrote So, if the bonuses in Mafia II and III are anything to go by, the taxi is now a Shubert Six, the limo is called "Smith V12" (even though Smith is a brand from II that's supposed to be Ford, while Ford in I is Bolt), cars don't have suicide doors anymore, etc. Looks like they're repeating the completely random vehicle branding from III. I have a bad feeling about this.... Tommy's cab don't look like a Studebaker anymore and is called Shubert Six in Mafia II and III Definite Edition. I also got a bad feeling when saw that. I kinda liked the painfully slow regular cars in the first game, like te Bolt Ace. This and frustrating things like the taxi mission added to the realistic setting. In the second game also had details like these, but in the third it took a more arcade route, hopefully the driving mechanics was good. Red Dead Redemption 2 showed that modern games can have realistic details like the first Mafia, I hope the Definitive Edition keep those things that make the game unique | |
| twilight sparkplug wrote The limo being branded a smith could that just be a Lincoln? Kinda reminds me of a Lincoln. different to the Cadillacs we get ingame. and ya know.. Ford Lincoln. Wonder if this means all bolt cars will be rebranded smith? I think you're giving it more thought that the devs. I believe that they're gonna repeat the car lore of Mafia 3 where the brands are completely meaningless and random. If they used Mafia II brands like that and it was a Lincoln, it'd be branded Jefferson (all cars in II had 1:1 relation, even singular examples). -- Last edit: 2020-05-21 17:52:25 | |

| Really hope they don't do the arcade handling and stuff. keeping with the original feel of mafia with with modern looks? really hoping for this. Finally a game I can look forward to. | |
Definitely. ![]() | |
| It should be listed as Mafia: Definitive Edition. | |
| I haven't been this excited for a game since the original release of Mafia II in 2010 | |
| It's a full remake of the first one, and a slight remaster of the later ones. Also the name of the game is "Mafia: Definitive Edition". The Trilogy is all three games sold together. -- Last edit: 2020-05-14 18:05:55 | |
| Renz203 wrote The Mafia has always been a great game. Love it's storyline. So what's all this about? Completely new game or all the 3 games combined? It's a remaster of all three games. | |

| patridam wrote Where are these shots from? The only thing I had seen was the shot used for the cover right now (which appears to have a Bolt Model B/Ford Model A in it). The Microsoft Store had some screenshots up early. Here's hoping the gameplay has been modernized rather than totally changed. I loved the police system in the original Mafia and thought the story played well... except for that damn whiskey mission in the back of the truck. | |

| I can't wait, allegedly they were going to work on Mafia IV which was going to be set in 70s Vegas but they scrapped it. | |
| This is a real refresh in the current game market, because need great open world action cars games. The first Mafia remake will be really refreshing. I hope they include some sort of Online for the Mafia 1 remake, like GTA Online lite with little free DLCs. Mafia II is really appreciable with the Mafia II Online client that give freeroam and sometimes RP where you can get a job, get a car etc. The story modes are really limited in possibility and the envy to get all collectables etc is not really appealing. Mafia 4 would be teased at the end of one of the remake/remastered but not official. | |
| Speaking of Mafia Trilogy: It may focus on events from earlier games. By new stuff, I may speculate early 70s as a post-story era. | |
| I'm looking forward to this. I loved all three Mafia games and a total remake of the original Mafia is great news. I personally hope they keep the manual gearboxes with clutch from the original, but I doubt it. If we're really lucky we could have some new content for Mafia 2 and 3, but the graphics looked unchanged in the teaser. |
