Ducati 996 Midnight Club II (2003) | 996 looks right to me: www.superbikeitalia.com/images/18_115200631003pm.jpg
Ducati 996 Midnight Club II (2003) | I believe the basename for it is vp_ducati.
Ducati 996 Midnight Club II (2003) | It's a Ducati 996 I think
Toyota Tacoma Midnight Club II (2003) | I remember way back when GTA IV came out, I saw this one mod that replaced most of the cars with all the traffic cars in this game, but it looked a bit odd since GTA had the realistic shine on the cars, and it was kinda like how someone modded the Kurama from GTA III into San Andreas. It had all the pics of the cars, but sadly, the mod was taken down about a year later.
Toyota Tacoma Midnight Club II (2003) | You're right, plus, the SFX in MC3 are terrible compared to MC2, imo. Listen to the metal SFX of lightpoles falling down in MC2 and then listen to the MC3 ones. The horn this, the Explorer, the Odyssey and the Towncar limo have is awesome. Love how it sounds with the Doppler effect in effect. -- Last edit: 2012-08-17 04:17:38
Toyota Tacoma Midnight Club II (2003) | I find it funny that this, and I think the Explorer as well in MC3 has a large airhorn like of the bigger trucks than the normal horn this had.
Aston Martin Vanquish Midnight Club II (2003) | This uses the vp_911 wheel, which was obv. supposed to be on the Modo Prego. Ironically enough, there's also a vp_vanquish wheel, which isn't used. -- Last edit: 2012-08-13 07:50:07
Mitsubishi Fuso The Great Midnight Club II (2003) | Traffic cars in MC1 only have breakparts, eg. the taxi signs, PIT bar on the Meter Maid, only player cars can be derformed.
Mitsubishi Fuso The Great Midnight Club II (2003) | Breakable parts were since Midtown Madness and Midnight Club 1 already had damage model introduced.
Mitsubishi Fuso The Great Midnight Club II (2003) | I believe so, yes. MC3's traffic car damage is pretty crappy, the gibs of metal that fly out of the cars look weird as hell.
Opel Vectra Midnight Club II (2003) | Car has a bad bug with the headlight .mtx positions on the PC version. oi47.tinypic.com/incolv.jpg
Isuzu Elf Midnight Club II (2003) | Noticed that, pretty funny bug. Also, if you push along a traffic car at REALLY high speed, it'll vanish. BTW, Nismo, if you have the PC version of MC2, I can give you my traffic mod+cops in cruise mode mod+fixed va_garbagetruck_l/va_garbage_t.vehicle files, along with the crap necessary to run the game unpacked. -- Last edit: 2012-08-09 08:59:16
Isuzu Elf Midnight Club II (2003) | Interesting note, when you flip a traffic car, most notably the large box truck in LA, the tire marks will still leave marks in the air.
Mitsubishi Fuso The Great Midnight Club II (2003) | Is this the first time that a MC game featured a damaged model of a traffic car? MC3 incorporated it with all of the traffic cars but it wasn't very good, even though it threw out "damaged" parts from the car.
Mercedes-Benz Midnight Club II (2003) | Does this truck have an engine sound at all? In the PS2 version it seemed near silent. Or it's a glitch for the PS2 version only -- Last edit: 2012-08-07 09:17:01
Suzuki Wagon R Midnight Club II (2003) | yes.1998~2003 suzuki wagon r.
Isuzu Elf Midnight Club II (2003) | No horn on the PC version either. Don't know if you noticed, Nismo, but there's no shadows under traffic vehicles on the PC version, and sadly, it seems it would require hex-editing to fix(already had RF supply me with XBOX files, they didn't work.)
Isuzu Forward Midnight Club II (2003) | This one shares the wheels off of the LA International fire truck it seems.
Mercedes-Benz 1827 Midnight Club II (2003) | This one has a unique horn that the other trucks don't have.
Ford Escort RS Cosworth Midnight Club II (2003) | 1971 Bestia, Schneller V8 and Vortex 5 here. -- Last edit: 2012-07-30 23:32:28
Midnight Club II (2003) | Also, the headlight/tailights are seperate textures applied over the actual lights, btw.
Midnight Club II (2003) | Yeah, the top portion of the Tridon-cell's been painted, and it either came in silver or black.
Midnight Club II (2003) | they actually call it "Ruby red" but normally the tridon-cell is always silver afaik. data.motor-talk.de/data/galleries/0/38/857/8496316/smart-ruby-red-metallic-58737.jpg -- Last edit: 2012-07-30 10:51:20
Ford Escort RS Cosworth Midnight Club II (2003) | Mine too
Ford Escort RS Cosworth Midnight Club II (2003) | My fav car in this game!
Midnight Club II (2003) | The colors on this car seems to be three different colors mashed together, and plus the rear of this is shaped differently, anyone got a texture map of this?
Daihatsu Hijet Midnight Club II (2003) | It is a Hijet and absolutely not a Rascal. The bumper and headlights look exactly like on a Hijet, hell, the whole cab is probably from a Hijet. -- Last edit: 2012-07-30 02:30:49
Honda Civic Midnight Club II (2003) | The wheels on this, and pretty much the majority of the traffic cars in the game, excluding the Tacoma which has the right wheels, and an exception, the Explorer, to me the wheel looks to be off of a '98-02 Accord, with the emblem removed and what looks like a Plus sign in place.
Peterbilt 320 Midnight Club II (2003) | This truck also seems to have a specialized track as well, since it rarely ventures onto the highway, and if it did, I remember it still traveling slowly as it did on the streets while the other cars sped up and passed by. Dunno about the other one in Tokyo though.
Made for Game Container Handler Midnight Club II (2003) | It is just a static prop, not a traffic vehicle -- Last edit: 2012-07-28 00:15:52
Made for Game Container Handler Midnight Club II (2003) | Compared to the other traffic cars they added into this game, you'd think they'd put a little more effort and detail into making a proper forklift
Isuzu Elf Midnight Club II (2003) | Huh, I even crashed into one head on and I didn't hear it, probably a bug on the PS2 version.
Isuzu Elf Midnight Club II (2003) | Well, here's the data from it's .vehicle file, related to the horn: tl;dr-It has a horn.
Isuzu Elf Midnight Club II (2003) | Wasn't this one missing a horn or some sorts? I don't think I remember hearing anything coming from this truck after a few near misses.
Pontiac GTO Midnight Club II (2003) | Yepp
Pontiac GTO Midnight Club II (2003) | You're right and since many languages (as polish and spanish for example) are based on latin, we simply got the same word.
Pontiac GTO Midnight Club II (2003) | Its not a slavic word (as in bulgarian, russian, macedonian and the balkan languages, based on bulgarian), but yeah probably they used the Spanish word which is more logical, because of R* San Diego. -- Last edit: 2012-07-26 10:04:54
Pontiac GTO Midnight Club II (2003) | In spanish beast is bestia too, I dont think they would mean the Polish word
Pontiac GTO Midnight Club II (2003) | parasol is latin word which means "for sun", because first umbrellas were used as sun protectors. Bestia means simply "Beast" and it's slavic (polish, for sure, you can trust me) word.
Honda Accord Midnight Club II (2003) | 1998.
Pontiac GTO Midnight Club II (2003) | Tycek wrote I wonder why does this car have polish (maybe this word is exactly the same in other slavic languages) name? Bestia doesnt sound polish or slavic either to me. Probably there were polish people in the team, like with Driver1's parasol object.
Toyota Crown Comfort Midnight Club II (2003) | In MC3 Remix/MCLA Remix it has lower res textures, and the Mercedes rim off MC2's va_accord_l and va_taxi_p
Toyota Crown Comfort Midnight Club II (2003) | MC3 Remix had a lesser detailed version appearing in some races in Tokyo, but with different wheels that were offset, If I had a working camera I'd take a pic of it.
Pontiac GTO Midnight Club II (2003) | I wonder why does this car have polish (maybe this word is exactly the same in other slavic languages) name?
Renault Express Midnight Club II (2003) | Haven't these been retired since? SolanaBogon, Takumi, Rinspeed, Kalu or 108092 would know. -- Last edit: 2012-07-25 03:44:08
Opel Vectra Midnight Club II (2003) | Idk why was changed to Astra, I only said the basename
Opel Vectra Midnight Club II (2003) | Since it's Paris it should be Opel Vectra [B] -- Last edit: 2012-07-22 21:53:13
Opel Vectra Midnight Club II (2003) | It's too long to be the Astra/Kadett D... ...so I'll go for the Vauxhall Vectra.
Opel Vectra Midnight Club II (2003) | This is a Vectra
Opel Vectra Midnight Club II (2003) | But textures come from a Vectra and looks like Vectra hatchback |
