Burn Rubber wrote So the song from the game called Rocket 69 isn't just from the dirty mind of a developer. The car is named after the song, not the opposite.
I'd say it's a Fiat 600 with some changes including a grille and modified rear (C-pillars and rear window pushed forward making the greenhouse smaller and visually separating the trunk from the greenhouse. The latter being a similarity to the ZAZ) The rear fender crease/kink, for example, is very 600-esque.
JFK wrote By the way, does anybody know (proably native australian, american or british) why is there W in Moscow when in any other word that uses same letter in cyrilic alphabet there is V? Interesting debate on Web Car Story, when I ranted about Moskvitch and Moscow and now we are debating this anomaly. I don't really understand the question. Do you mean why is it Moscow and not 'Moskov'? 'Moscow' is English for Moskva, similarly to other Germanic languages or French (German - Moskau, French - Moscou). Moskvitch was an automobile brand. Brand names aren't usually translated to other languages (if we were to translate it, it would be Muscovite - a person living in Moscow). Moskvitch is simply Москвич transcribed to Latin. For English language, that is. Moskwitch would not make sense, since 'w' is pronounced differently in English, so it would result in a defferent sounding word. It's the opposite in German, where 'w' is pronounced like 'v' in other languages (the 'v' in German sounds more like 'F' for you and me), thus the brand is generally referenced as Moskwitsch.
"My H has been stolen! Awww, that's how people know it's a Honda. What's the point of having a Honda if you can't show it off?"
Very similar to Dodge Dart
It's a two door in the game.
car-dude44 wrote MFG. There is no 1950s SUV of this sort apart from a few custom creations. Dodge Town wagon: www.townwagon.com/sites/tw/images/1956/156twblue.jpg Chevrolet Suburban: myautoworld.com/gm/history/suburban/1951_Chevrolet_Suburban_2.jpg International Harvester Travelall first gen was also somewhat similar, although had additional side windows.
Hyundai i30, also sold as Hyundai Elantra GT in some markets.
On the PC version and current-gen consoles you have to buy them, on last-gen, they're automatically added in garages.
I see some resemblance to Citroën Tubik
The cars from this update are also available in single player. Speedevil wrote Aren't online DLC cars released in single player too? I mean you can't find them in the city but you can get them for free at a garage. So far, all DLC cars have indeed been available for SP as well, with the exception of the content from Heists update, for some odd reason.
JFK wrote Looks like we should have another star for cars, that are not available for all platforms - I would go to brown or white color... I think the best way for this would be a "note: Exclusive to Xbox One version" or something like that. There are games with many different platforms with different car lists, in which case a single additional star would not give much information. All in all, I think pointing that out on the page is a good idea. Some games also have regional versions with exclusive vehicles.
Looks more like a W221 to me.
JFK wrote From back it have very strong resemblance to BMW X3 Agreed

Not sure about the model name, but it's a Typ 2 first generation (T1)

(archived) | tupacserbia wrote the F-150 and F-350 names weren't used until the fifth generation of F-Series. You're wrong. The bigger 1 ton version of the second generation F-series was called F-350. rileymotorsports.com/wp-content/uploads/DSC035621.jpg This one is clearly an F-100 though.
That's not a 2013. For some reason they have modeled a wrong generation Astra.
I think it's an Expedition, not Explorer.
I think it looks like a mixture of Audi TT and Mitsubishi Eclipse. TT is a bit more prominent in it though, with the near horizontal beltline and distinct wheel arches. But the headlights and overall more softer and rounder body seems inspired by the Eclipse. static.cargurus.com/images/site/2009/03/22/14/26/2008_mitsubishi_eclipse_gs-pic-52712.jpeg @ burn rubber: I don't mean to be rude, but all game-related wikia sites I've come across all full of poor style, lack of citations, grammar errors etc. I don't think they should be viewed as a credible source for identifying in game vehicles. The only thing that looks like Volco C30 is that the tail lights go up the sides of the rear window. If you were to remove the upper part of the tail lights, they look like Audi TT's.
Looks a bit like the Lamborghini Cala by Italdesign.

The word 'hatchback' refers to having a hatch in the back, it's actually not related to the shape of the car. It means that the tailgate opens with the rear window. All the cars you listed are 2 door sedans. They look like hatchbacks to us, because we are used to seeing modern small 2-box cars that are all hatchbacks. The Opel Kadett D, for example, was available in sedan and hatchback, which looked exactly the same, but had a different trunk opening. sedan: hatchback:
mechanicmoose wrote There is a free site where its possible to check car info using the license number What site is that? There's a big possibility that the car has been scrapped by now, though.
I don't think it is. The only similarity is the shape of the headlights, but then again, looking at the current trends in design, there are dozens of cars out there with similar 'upside down trapezoid' shaped lights. I don't think whoever designed this had the Powerstroke concept in mind.
Seems plausible enough, as they also gave Ford Focus a split grille and painted Audi A3 and Saab 9-3 bumpers black. Since cars are more or less background objects it doesn't matter if they're picture perfect or not.
The shape of the mesh in the rear and the slope of the rear quarter windows suggest a 2004 model, but the textures are based on the 1998 Astra. -- Last edit: 2014-11-23 22:52:33
Tuppence870 wrote Audi A9 Concept cdn.wonderfulengineering.com/wp-content/uploads/HLIC/3c0a461080a62c91973164d829af748a.jpg It looks very similar to the concept, albeit with proportions more close to A6 or A8 sedan. Somewhat related random thought: if a car in a video game is based on a concept car, which is not in any way related to the car manufacturer it is associated with, but merely a styling excercise of a young designer, is it okay to list it on igcd.net as former? As is the case with the 'Audi A9' concept, a great piece of work by a talented designer, but not an official Audi concept nor related to Audi in any way.
I'd say MFG. | ||
Looks kinda like first generation Honda Insight.
No way would a game like this feature licenced vehicles.
Still from the video: Maybe a second generation Renault Laguna Grandtour? www.autoplenum.de/Bilder/P/p0008736/RENAULT/RENAULT-Laguna-Grandtour-2-2-dCi--2002-2004-.jpg The headlights and grille are definitely Mazda6.
The body style is sedan.
I think it's the opposite - the Picador/Marshall in GTA V resembles a slightly older version of the El Camino than the Picador in GTA:SA
I think they probably decided that it's not worth (re)introducing a brand that only has one model, thus changed the manufacturer to Declasse.
Look at the shape of the car, the length of the doors, the taillights, the headlights and the grille. It looks quite different from the Holden and obviously based on the Chevy. GTA Wiki (as all wikis) should be taken with a grain of salt. Everyone can post their opinion there and state it as a fact.
It's a bit odd seeing these spawn in traffic.
I think they used that name for the older generations as well.
I think it's Finnish. | ||
I really don't see anything wrong in rewarding people who buy the same game twice, with a bit of exclusive content. Also, even in the olden golden times it often happened that console and PC versions had different content. Hey, I never got to drive the Lamborghini LM in NFS III: Hot Pursuit because it was exclusive to the PS version. -- Last edit: 2014-11-15 23:23:40
The side texture is taken from 2000 Renault Laguna, and the front clip appears to be from a late-model Ford Aspire.
