![]() ![]() 2022-04-16 21:18 | i thought it was the rocket 69, cherry bomb sounds stupid. |
![]() ![]() 2017-01-08 13:50 | Reminds me of the 1954 ford fx atmos concept car too |
![]() ![]() 2016-12-17 11:41 | Was browsing around the internet when i saw a custom made car in the early 60s that look really familliar to the rocket 69 which may had took the inspiration from www.kustomrama.com/index.php?title=The_Forcasta |
![]() ![]() 2016-01-08 15:53 | Would be cool though.... I found the Billboard too, it seems that Turn10 chose the Rocket name by itself because it's obviously the same car. |
![]() 2016-01-04 21:25 | The billboard says "Life is a race... Win! Cherry Bomb. The first car to break the sound barrier." Seems pretty clear what the in-game name is based on that. Chryslus Rocket 69 should be its name in Forza, and it does sound more like a real car than Cherry Bomb. It's also very unlikely to break the sound barrier in Forza. While it mostly looks the same, they're different cars in different games. I also doubt the Forza one uses a joystick for controls instead of a steering wheel and pedals. |
![]() ![]() 2016-01-03 23:24 | Or just part of a slogan |
![]() ![]() 2016-01-03 22:56 | Looks like I'm always missing those ![]() |
![]() 2016-01-03 22:41 | Oh yeah, that's right. I've also seen it on billboards in downtown Boston, like this one and the BMW, named "Zip" but with an illegible company name. |
![]() ![]() 2016-01-03 22:24 | As far as i know Pick-r-up is written on the bed of the truck |
![]() 2016-01-03 22:18 | The Pick-R-Up is so named based on billboards, so this would be Cherry Bomb from billboards. The BMW Isetta one also has a name from billboards, but the only one I've seen wasn't entirely legible. |
![]() 2016-01-03 12:23 | Well , let's just hoping that this car doesn't end in the same situation as Warthog in FM4 where you can't drive it sadly. |
![]() ![]() 2016-01-03 12:16 | Theres a DLC with this car coming for FM6 saying it's called the rocked 69 and since Bethesda and Turn10 worked together on it I guess that makes the name confirmed. The name isn't mentioned in the game to my knowledge -- Last edit: 2016-01-03 12:17:22 |
![]() 2016-01-03 00:31 | Where did the in-game name come from? I've seen this one advertised as the "Cherry Bomb" on billboards. Supposed to be the first car to break the sound barrier. |
![]() ![]() 2015-12-30 02:42 | i think it looks a lot like the 1955 Ford La Tosca concept car |
![]() 2015-12-29 16:27 | This thing is a single seater with no apparent steering wheel. Not based on anything I've seen, as it only looked a bit like the Nucleon when briefly seen in the early gameplay video. |
![]() ![]() 2015-12-07 14:23 | Burn Rubber wrote So the song from the game called Rocket 69 isn't just from the dirty mind of a developer. The car is named after the song, not the opposite. |
![]() ![]() 2015-12-06 18:03 | The overall shape is from the Nucleon though. But I would change it to the Firebird too Edit: Thinking about it, the Chryslus now looks like a combination of Firebird II and III -- Last edit: 2015-12-06 18:05:44 |
![]() 2015-12-06 17:39 | It's either MFG or Ford X2000 with GM Firebird II front. Definitely not Nucleon. |
![]() ![]() 2015-11-07 11:44 | Identified as "Chryslus Rocket 69" |
![]() ![]() 2015-06-16 00:54 | A concept art shows a group of 1955 Ghia Gilda's, which have a similar shape to this. However, I believe the finished product has a lot in common with the Ford Nucleon. |
![]() ![]() 2015-06-03 22:08 | I noticed that the front wheel is quite far from the front (if you can't see it - it's near the lamp post), just like the Nucleon. Here's the pic of an final model. It seems that Nucleon lost its fins during development and thus looks more like the car we are identifying: ![]() I will still wait for the better screenshots, but at this moment it looks like it is Ford Nucleon with some hints of GM Firebird II (air intakes) and Ford X-2000/Cadillac Cyclone (bubbletop roof). |

![]() ![]() 2015-06-03 21:23 | it kinda looks a mix of the 4 cars the cabin is like the nucleon (at the front) and body shape like the ford and the shape of the cabin looks almost exactly like the cyclone. the front features of the GM Firebird ll . Also thx for putting the pictures can anybody tell me how I can avoid the "missing parameters" . -- Last edit: 2015-06-03 21:27:52 |
![]() ![]() 2015-06-03 21:01 | For me it reminds Ford Nucleon, with that cabin at nearly front of car![]() |

![]() ![]() 2015-06-03 17:59 | Maybe MFG, but I'm no expert on 1950s concept cars. To me it looks like Ford X2000 without the "jet engine" tail lights and with GM Firebird II front: ![]() |
