I don't care that they don't look like real cars, it's part of the fun to see what cars the game has and what they look like.
That is your fun. I donīt like cars that are mixes of several parts of cars or very "unique" designs".
I prefer when they are almost exact replicas of the real cars
stryder237 wrote
Exactly. Many of the new R* designs are just straight up copies of real cars, they match the tone and presentation of the rest of the game world.
In that, we can agree.
As for the guy who says Driver San Francisco is his least favourite Driver because of real cars: lmao, so even worse than Driv3r because the real cars and not because, for example, the weird plot? well, ok, Iīm not to judge the tastes and decisions of other to like or dislike games for any kind of reason.

Donīt compare Driver saga with GTA. Pretty different in their own.
But as I said, I prefer the cars being as close as the real life counterparts.

I mean making an exact replica of a real life car with fake badges.
I personally prefer the more unique designs, like the Zion, Landstalker, Stratum, etc. I think the de-badge designs make the game look cheap, like a pazy mobile game, and they don't fit in with the older, more unique cars, and the general satirical tone of GTA.
I completely disagree. I prefer in fact if they were the real life cars properly if it wasnīt for the royalties and lawsuits if that happened.
Also, even in the old GTAs the cars were normally close to the real life cars and itīs something I always liked from GTA

I'm excited for this - the trailer was excellent.
Lots of returning cars from GTA:O. A lot of which are lazy de-badges and otherwise quickly made cars that don't fit into existing lore and setting. Hopefully enough new cars filter them out. Also, there were loads of supercars. Too many to be realistic.
it is also clear from the Crown Vics R* intends to remake older models - I think this is ultimately a good thing. Many IV & V models have terrible proportions - e.g Regina, Picador.
Some GTA:O cars - like the Landstalker XL - despite being recent additions - have been reworked. The Hellion has lost it's lifted suspension too.
I wonder how in-depth car customisation will be - cleary a focus in the trailer. Maybe we will get a livery editor, maybe the ability to lift trucks?
I just hope the driving is better than V.
Not sure what you mean by lazy de-badges but honestly I prefer the cars being as close as the real life counterpart as possible. I like to recognize the cars and see what Iīm blowing up/driving

I would still rather leave it as a Volkswagen Bus rather as a Fiat, considering the setting.

Hard to tell do to how rusted it is, to me it kinda look like a S10 Chevy from the 1990s, though you could say it might be a Ford Courier

Yes. There are three wrecks that look way too modern for a 60s setting (this one, the pick-up wrecks and then a station wagon you can find in Tungunska map).

Actually, if you get a bit tolerant the front looks a bit like a Bedford TA or similar from the 50s

Iīve seen that wreck across the streets of Albion

Yes, there are far more cars in this remake than in the original and than in the first gameīs remake.
It is really awesome they have decided to add such variety of vehicles per map in a saga where normally you would see only two or three types of cars spawning in a map.

I kinda disagree. I think many people who play action sandboxes like this game like cars and that the cars are in the proper setting at least. They contribute to the atmosphere of the game after all

Yes, and there is not problem for me. I mean, in 60s there were still plenty of 50s American trucks in an American city. Problem here is when you move them to UK where they were none.

Like the sedan version, this is a mix of Impala, Cadillac & Fairlane. Although the sedan's body is clearly based on the Cadillac DeVille, there was no wagon based on that platform, however both the Fairlane & Impala were available as wagons. Of the two, it's probably closer to the Fairlane, but should it be listed as a Cadillac anyway for consistency with the sedan?
In any case it should labelled as the same model as it is the sedan version.
So this one should be a Cadillac DeVille as well (but on station wagon version)...
Although for me it has a more close resemblance to Chevrolet Impala (both this one and the sedan version)

Edit: Still, though. Couldnīt be that they were looking to portray a Honda Civic?

Nissan Skyline
Grand Theft Auto V (2013)
I think it looks an Honda Accord Wagon or even a Subaru Impreza. Both from 90s.
But it matches with the Nissan Skyline in a way where we can tolerate that a Wagon edition never existed: its description says it was "limited edition". We can let that sink for a little bit: there's no Skyline Wagon. That's it but in-game there was a Wagon edition but it sold very poorly and only in LS so only a few units were ever made.
I'd prefer giving it a name rather than leaving it as "Made for game". All cars in GTA would be "Made for game" then!
