Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown (2024) | Great game, although I was more impressed by playing the earlier instalments. 1. Hong Kong Island doesn't seem as big as Oahu or Ibiza and there aren't challenges accross the island that doesn't involve; 2. There are gas stations, but no gas refuelling; 3. Can't buy those amazing houses (meaning you are limited to the hotel); 4. Car list could be better (and RHD an option) 5. Car modification is still limited to wheels 6. If you drove to the other side of the island, take a break from the game and come back, you will restart at the hotel (TDU2 you kept in the same place) Always online is something that although it makes sense, is something that made TDU2 almost unusable nowadays. -- Last edit: 2025-01-31 18:39:18 | |

Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown (2024) | Also confirmed with the new trailer are a few more brands not currently seen here, since only the key fobs are shown. That includes Audi, Bentley, Ferrari, and Mercedes. Also, the Bugatti key fob shown is all black with red stitching, which might be the Chiron Sport key fob, not the normal Chiron one, which means both the Chiron and Chiron Sport might be in the game. Can't confirm any models based off of the Benz or Ferrari fobs, as multiple models use the same fob for each brand. Bentley key fob is likely some sort of Continental, as the Bentayga has a completely different key fob, and I have my doubts that the Flying Spur will show up, but I could be wrong. For TC2, it was definitely underwhelming. You need internet to run the game, night mode is short due to apparent hardware limitations, etc. FH4 is good, but I quit playing because it's gotten repetitive over the Festival playlist. And boy do they try and try to make the map bigger, but it's still far from 400 sq. miles. For me I hope the island is at least 3000 sq. mi., has 100 or more traffic vehicles, sports cars as traffic as well, because variety, and at least a hundred or more playable vehicles. And, if they are going for a real island, Mallorca (a toursit hotspot, province of Spain, and located just east of Ibiza) could be a good guess, and maybe Ohau could come back. But who knows. Eh I’m actually skipping WRC 9 kinda feels like milking, I probably should have waited before buying WRC 8 a month ago, I’m getting Dirt 5 for sure, they are more enjoyable, this French company do have potential but there is more room for them to improve Imo, and hope they can do the test drive game justice as it should V-rally was below average for me, so I don’t expect much on a test drive title made from the same guys, but like I said, we should wait & see, hoping it’s good at least | |

WRC 8 is a good game and they're handling the car physics and driving etc. To me, that sounds like a good enough team to handle it. The creative design director is the same guy who worked on TDU1 and TDU2 and is now project manager. I'm not sure on how well this game will do, but the initial cards on the table are good enough if you ask me. Plus, if they manage to make the game like the both earlier TDU's, there's a gap in the market for a game like that. Inbetween the underwhelming TC2 and too driver focused (less environment focused) FH4. | |
