This is actually a 2002-04 Special Edition trim... basically a Laredo with body-color bumpers and cladding.

While this has elements of the GTR prototype, the body shape, imo, looks more like a Lexus SC 430.

Yeah, I took those ones.
If the car is to be added to the list it should be given the surname of "6.3 V8 Coupe (Custom)" to keep it in line with the others.

You can add this entry if you want, as this page isn't reserved for any contributors ;)

This was published by Activision in 2005. The rules were probably different back then, and Activision definitely had the money to contest that kind of requirements.

Actually exist others games do the same, GTA 5 with various cars similar to real ones.

That its strange, Horizon Chase used the same elements to create the cars and years later made a facelift to avoid copyright problems, but with some games like Truecrime, don't had problem to use real cars and change a bit the design.

Some cars are close to their irl counterparts other are approximate AF.
However it's a good game for patrolling and acting as a police officer in a good recreation of South Manhattan. Like a sequel of "World's Scariests Chases", until GTA IV New York's vigilante missions arrived.
