If you look sellable models in Sketchfab, most Chevy vehicles are called "american car". Another aggressive is Volvo, that is why Macks are "american truck". Peterbilt's are called Peterbilt, even if same year as those "american" trucks are. Don't know if it is case with VW though, but might be reason I'm not talking about the lack of branding because AI vehicles in ETS and ATS were never licenced to begin with, but the fact that recent AI models don't look like real vehicles anymore. It is weird that recent vehicles in GTA Online are carbon copies of real cars (Brioso 300 or Tulip M-100 are basically unaltered Fiat 500/G-body Chevy Malibu only the badges are changed) while SCS started adding fictional GTA-style vehicles. | |

Tesla Model Y Euro Truck Simulator 2 (2012) | I wonder why we don't get such models in ATS. I'm not an ETS 2 player, but majority of the AI vehicles in American Truck Simulator are far too old/rare for US roads. The fact that they have a current generation Tesla (I hate this company, only giving out an example) while ATS still uses the oldest Model S speaks out. I don't think that SCS properly knows what traffic in America looks like, but European traffic matches more towards this game. At least add more modern/new traffic vehicles in ATS like a Traverse, Kia Soul, Fusion etc, so people don't have to resort to mods. | |
