So I watched the presentation courtesy of Developer_Direct, and here's what we now know:

-Estimated 500 cars
-20 tracks
-Seems to have been delayed AGAIN. Probably before the end of June.

Presentation was so underwhelming... God, why does T10 prioritize graphics over the frickin' gameplay?? Makes no sense.

No joke. 75% of this is all about the graphics. No one cares about the graphics, guys! The gameplay matters. Did they show any? NO!

Guys, what's your opinion with this analysis?

Calm down. They're accepted though, as I just saw them. Except one of them has a real VW badge which probably means they look like third-party mods.

Look, if it helps I will do the vehicles they add in the West Balkans expansion, including the border crossing cars, since the western portion of the Balks still have stricter entries and they're not part of the Schengen Agreement (yet). Best part is that I don't use any Workshop mod. ;)

It's a shame about MG itself. It used to be a storied British brand, but now it's under permanent SAIC control.

The last MG car that wasn't an SAIC product was the XPower SV-R which is on the car pass.

I think Forza should separate MG into two divisions, the original British one and the current Chinese version.

Seriously, I wanna see what the defense for this is, this is so anti-player and appalling. I know licensing happens prior to games and they probably had it all along. But I guess they just drip-fed it because of player retention.

We've still lost over 80 or so more cars that were in FH4. Stinger GT for example....

It's not cool.

I swear CDPR shouldn't have released it in the first place. They should be ashamed of themselves. Not to mention they actually pulled the game from PlayStation at one point.

That is if they didn't abandon this sinking liner.

It is also negative attitude. I listened when I was told to be respectful. So should you. Just sayin'.

Forza Horizon 5 (2021)
Well, we'll see how it goes in regards to the future of FH5, given the fact that Mike Brown has left PG. I'm hoping the new leadership can right the ship, but by then it's too late. I admit the updates have been crap lately but it's because they got their hands tied on Fable and the second expansion. Really I think Fable should be thrown out for good, because there's better RPGs in the world.

And with a new developer emerging from Brown and several PG employees, I'm looking forward for their projects. They're open-world but they have not ruled out about it being a car game of some kind.

I'm kinda curious on what the second expansion will be but my gut feeling it'll be Legos. Contrary to popular belief neither Hot Wheels nor Legos are geared towards children.

Also with the FM reboot on the way in spring '23 I'm hoping they can build FH6 to its full potential.

Forza Horizon 5 (2021)
Okay, look. I wanted to restate some things I've noted throughout the criticism.

FH5 has given us bland updates since the 10-year anniversary (and I even warned the entry of the disappointments). FH5 has piled on bugs to a magnitude beyond recognition. Playground has lagged behind on improvements. The Playlist is a slog, with seasonal championships being repetitive and given out paltry rewards (seriously, who even wants a Volvo 850 for the Nth time??). Exclusive cars are constantly given 20-pt requirements. They do not add past exclusives to autoshow.

See what I mean? I love FH and I want serious improvements going forward. But it's too late for this game, and hopefully FH6 will deliver with great results.

Forza Horizon 5 (2021)
Vxctec, I saw your post, and it made me want to smash my monitor to pieces.

What statements you made was very much a spring bash against Forza Horizon in general. May I remind you that this series was, up until now, primarily relegated to one system (Xbox) and was limited until FH4 came to Steam on March 2021 (and to a lesser extent, PC starting in FH3 onward). Did you stop to think before you posted this totally inaccurate post filled to the brim with conspiracy theories?

Also, how dare you insult the original Forza Horizon game, a legendary title that came out A DECADE ago, and is still beloved by many players, even veteran Forza players. As a man who has played practically all Forza games this is so wrong. Hell FH1 was miles better with everything made to cater a music festival and cars, hence the mantra 'Where Cars Belong!'

Most people quit FH5 because they got sick of the time-gated events this has, and the same with FH4. Notice a pattern there? Can I also remind you that most of PG's current staff left to form their own game studio (as mentioned on the future releases entry)? Admittedly, Mike Brown did a poor job with FH5 and though it's true he made the concept of EventLab, he also made a lot of bad decisions that led to this state of the game.

p.s. Speedfreak's view of the entry isn't wrong in the slightest, and I shared some opinions regarding the issues with FH5.

Forza Horizon 5 (2021)
Speedfreak I do understand your reasoning why FH5 isn't as bad as it sounds but some of us are pretty upset with this game for legitimate reasons. Yes, you can understand why I'm disgusted with the recycled cars being overdone ('46 Super Deluxe on this entry, that is if you can find it), and PG has their reasons and I understand not every most-wanted car can be licensed quickly (do you know NDAs?).

The reason why I declared the game as a "shambolic state" is because of the fact that there are major bugs (your mileage may vary on console) that PG will not fix. Like recently I changed a factory color on my recently acquired Megane RS250 and somehow it got its windows black for no reason.

FCA Italia brands are still not in the game (I know they're under Stellantis, and I hate that name). And yet many new racing games still have 'em. So is it a licensing problem or is PG holding them back? I also noted a lot more leftover cars (notably, '12 Vanquish and Evora S) that are soon to be more dripfed content. Other examples are a '16 Vulcan, a Hudson Hornet on the DM playlist, a Huayra clearly shown on the FH1 remake intro, and the Tuscan on the S15 Autumn banner.

When you get down to this, you'll realize this is just FH4 with a new map and lost so much content that they tried to replace. Can you also explain the sudden presence of Chinese cars they've been adding lately? Can you explain why we got a rehashed HW expansion that is just wasted potential?

The core gameplay works, the rest of the game is just disappointing. I do agree the game needs a lot of work and polish.

Just my two cents.
