That's why I left it alone. I'll leave it to others to write whatever they want to. But yeah, I can't use this in the beginner or expert seasonals because it's not a racing car.

That's partly why my input's been so slow recently, the seasonals are rather restricting.

Yeah I meant it wasn't simply an S21 coupe running down the same assembly line as the sedans. It was a coachbuilt car that was largely hand-made in Italy.

Hand built bodies, certainly. However I doubt they were made in Italy. Designed by the Italian Giovanni Michelotti, but built in Mitaka, Japan just like the chassis & engine. Japan has an extortionately high import tax¹ on cars and car parts so for a car that would be primarily sold in Japan I don't see them paying more for importing bodywork from halfway around the world than they could possibly get for the completed car itself.

¹ This is why Mercedes are more of a status symbol in Japan than say Astons or Bentleys. An RHD Aston or Bentley in Japan could be mistaken for a clone kit car however an LHD Mercedes would be more obviously imported leaving little doubt as to the owners wealth.

I'd agree with the Baja Bug and that the A4 Beetles can't really be called 'New', especially since there's an A5 Beetle. And I see your point about future entries completely ignoring these facts.

(Technically speaking it's the PQ34/9C and PQ35/16 but I reckon people might get confused with that annotation especially if it ever comes to PQ46 and PL46 platforms.)

And VAZ 2101-2107s rocked. Hardly any left in the UK They were largely bought and brought back to Russia 'cause the UK spec ones used heavier gauge steel from Ravenscraig. You could say just like IRN BRU they were 'Made in Scotland from Girders' :D

Yeah, to avoid having to pay for the license to use it they started with the Xsara Picasso and deliberately messed it up.

It's one of these background cars we'd like to see be done properly and turned into a playable car. Imagine hooning around in a Picasso 1.6 HDi 110 Desire. Like a minivan that remembers that it comes from a rallying family.

And accidentaly left the chassis code "CN.AR750106" which is related only to this specific TZ2, since it's "105.11" instead for all the Giulia TZ1 and TZ2 models.

Removed the "Coachbuilt by Zagato" info since it's useless as TZ means "Tubolare Zagato" already.

Well I'd agree the chassis code should be '105.11' if this were a generic car since that would be, as you say, for all the Giulia TZ1 & TZ2 models, but this looks to me like a very particular car with a very particular history. That particular car was what I was presenting. Even Polyphony present it as "CN.AR750106" and not a generic Alfa TZ1/ TZ2. And when they do their research outside of their comfort zone regarding cars . . . then it must be important.

Polyphony even thought it wise to include "carrozzata da ZAGATO" in the description in case 'TZ' didn't quite convey this. If you think the average player from American or Japan is going to automatically know that 'TZ' means 'Coachbuilt by Zagato' then sure, go for the change. I, however, have my doubts.

No, even Polyphony has listed it as "Volvo 240 GLT Estate" not "Volvo 240 Estate GLT"
That is to say

Make = Volvo
Model = 240
Edition = GLT
Body type = Estate (break, wagon)
and Year = 1988

The reason wagons are listed as estate is because estate is another name for wagon. It is not the car's name, it's a description.

This 240 that happens to be in estate form.

Nah, Regal GNX owners dropped the 'Regal' because they were too damned proud. 'GNX' sounds cooler than 'Regal'. It would be like someone owning a 1994 1.6 Ford Fiesta but saying "Oh these? These are the keys to my classic Ghia" in a pub. (Yeah . . . I've known people like that in the UK.)

And kudos for the correct usage of 'begs the question'. Most people use 'begs the question' when they mean something like 'prompts the question'. Doesn't it wind you up when people do that?

In real life this car is a Buick Regal GNX (Grand National Experimental). As you can see in the link below, for a 1987 Buick Regal Turbo-T, it's same car apart from wheels, trim and edition name.

In fact looking over the blurb in the game it even says right there the GNX was the Buick Regal GN's last hurrah.

And yes that's the Red Bull short ring, and yes that's the Beginner Seasonal (450pp), and yes that's a 2001 Honda NSX that's just been put into 2nd by a Citroën 2CV Type AZ, and no, I'm not being a troll.

Let me explain.

If you want to attempt this the trick is to forget the power. This is not your run of the mill stiffened race machine. Soften the hell outta the suspension, plan your approaches and exits carefully, find your rhythm, don't collide with traffic, use the ORZ's if you have to (remember that in F1 the only rule they have regarding over run zones is that you keep all four wheels in the box when passing the line¹) don't slow down and keep on the accelerator at all times.

NEVER BRAKE. I cannot stress this enough. After the chicanes before the back straight you'll notice you'll be catching up when they're braking far too early and far too hard. If you follow these guidelines you should be able to take 14th out of 16 on your first try. Then it's a matter of practise for you to find your own rhythm and you'll get ahead of the traffic and eventually ahead of the AI's 'Hero' car.

You should see real 2CV racing some time and you'll see what I mean. Search for "Sparrow 2CV" on Youttube (yeah it's got a BMW R Series but it's still an air cooled flat twin bike engine and most important the running gear is all stock.) And for those few who actually liked my jumping shots . . . look up "Seppe's Jump" on Youttube.

¹ just double checked that. There's been a recent change in F1 rules. The revised regulations for 2016 states drivers “must make every reasonable effort” to stay within track limits and must have a “justifiable reason” if they do leave the track. I think "Not colliding with and killing other drivers and myself" counts as a "justifiable reason".
