There's also no class for the panda bear or the hot plate.
It's a train body on a ChoroQ car chassis. Check the rubber tires--the train wheels are false.
Nope. It was an actual car sold by Takara.
If it looks strange, it's because it's a car with the body of a bullet train (E4 Shinkansen) -- Last edit: 2014-04-12 20:13:09
This car can be modified in the laboratory. There are 6 body styles, 3 front ends, and 3 back ends to mix and match.
Someone needs to do a quick Google on what a '71 Charger looks like, cuz that ain't it. I'm seeing a bit of '68-'70 in the rear window, quarters, and rear bumper, but only a bit.

I posted the picture, but I didn't make the change.
You could also make an argument for a simliar-vintage Lincoln Continental:
...and the specific car in the photo is a 1993+. '92 didn't have the fake reflector panel between the brake lights.
Carries S/E badging but has the 90hp 4-cylinder from the base model. Standard S/E engine was the 2.8 V6.
Check the top of the page: all these cars have the name of the boss in the title.
ItsaUserName wrote Well it's clearly based on that Charger, as it's owned by tuning firm Mooneyes. Apart from a few others, that's the only old Charger in Japan I can't agree on that, as the '68 & '69 are very different in 3 key areas on the exterior. Since Genki got all 3 of those right, I'm guessing they had access to a '69 either in pictures or in person.
Tuppence870 wrote Not just that, but that car has almost the same license plate and colour as the one in the game. True, but the '68 looked quite different from the back:
Facepalmingly renamed as a Maxima in the US release, despite the fact that 2 cars are unrelated and the Maxima has been FF since 1985.
Renamed as a 200SX in the USA version despite the fact that all USA S13's were 240SX's.

Regular traffic car out on the Wangan stretch by the airport.
Yep, the back end is straight off a 288 GTO. I tried searching for which body kit they based it on, but came up empty.
I'm thinking it's sort of an Easter egg. There are also brand-new (at the time) GMT800 pickups running around too.
I wonder if the license plate containing the numbers 4-2-6 is just a coincidence?
Mistranslated as "Hard Lift" in the game text.
There was an F-350 in 1975.
2003 would also be correct. Even though the Winston Cup car changed to the new design in 2003, the production car debuted as a 2004 model.
Grand Sport would have a removable roof panel. Not seeing any cutlines in these shots.
Juiced? A bit less of a sim-oriented title. Did they even offer factory colors? If this car was to fit in with the majority of PD screens on this site, it should be red, yellow, or graphite. The blue/white scheme is from the very beginning of the GTS's life, while 2002 was the very end.

Yeah, I agree even though it really doesn't match up 100% on anything.
OK, I'm going Durango. The greenhouse is a match, specifically the rear door and quarter windows, and the taillights are close.
The back sort of looks 1st-gen Durango, but the front is way off. I'm open to more suggestions on this one.
Too small, especially when compared to the Razor. |
