![]() 2022-10-13 06:12 | I can't get a rear shot of this because there is no accessible road to get a closer look, and the camera has limits. So this had to do. Unless if there's another copy of this somewhere outside of Cheyenne, that will be the case for now. About this beastly steam locomotive: I think this is the 4-8-8-4 Big Boy (manufactured by ALCO) heritage model that Union Pacific uses, though here in the ATS universe it's American Lines. -- Last edit: 2022-11-05 00:03:52
![]() ![]() 2022-10-13 03:37 | Good because, I think Twilight would be annoyed by any replacement pics. As for Rushcars he pops up from time to time, mostly on the Discord.
![]() 2022-10-13 03:09 | I had to remove them. I'll replace them later, but it will be awhile before I do so. And Silnev, I'm not doing any of Twilight Sparkplug's or Rush's entries. Not even the four playable trucks Twilight posted. And look, ATS is, in laymen's terms, a live-service game, and as such there are times where old assets like this have been given subtle updates. By 1.40 a new lighting effect was added which made both ETS2 and ATS beautiful. ETS2 alone has 45 major game updates. ATS, about 20-ish as it was launched only six years ago. Hell, even updates have made older DirectX devices useless. 1.36 makes that case and in the near future our current DirectX will probably be obsolete. Speaking of, has anybody seen activity from RushCars? He hasn't been active in what, 5 months? I'll send new replacement pics of the XC90 as well. -- Last edit: 2022-10-13 03:22:35

![]() American Truck Simulator (2016) | ![]() 2022-10-11 02:53 | So what's the story about the 10 or so replacements of the the cars I sent not being accepted? What am I doing wrong?? I contributed to this entry before (Volvo construction equipment and its sister game ETS2) and the GLS replacements were accepted. But why won't the replacement of the old pics, like that Audi above, be accepted? You do know there was a major lighting update in 1.40, right? And some of these cars have different rims. A6 has five-spoke rims here while the ETS2 version has a 7-spoke rim. I'm startin' to become frustrated. They're not mods, they're shown at proper angles, and are high-quality pics. So what's the deal here? -- Last edit: 2022-10-11 03:12:03 |

![]() 2022-10-09 20:14 | clandohoome a écrit Do cable cars count as vehicles for this site? The cars are pulled by a cable, rather than being self-propelled. I see what you're saying but though they're pulled along, they're not completely dumb like a car trailer. Quite a bit of mechanical operation is involved to take corners, brake, set off, etc. As it is, since 1984 the cars are manufactured by the SFMTA in house carpentry & workshop teams. Heaven knows how to list that on this site.
![]() 2022-10-09 14:04 | That's what I've been trying to tell you. SCS needs to stop withholding cars like this. The Corolla International model from ETS2 is another example as that car took over several versions to have it actually appear in the world. What SCS also needs to do is to stop forcing cars that weren't sold in the U.S. The S-Max is the worst offender and I requested (in great detail on the Patch 1.45 discussion on Steam) that to be removed and have the Jeep Renegade replace it. And yet despite my criticism, it's still here. Hell I even have a large spreadsheet for traffic variety, though I highly doubt it'll come together. -- Last edit: 2022-10-09 14:06:07

![]() 2022-10-05 18:43 | I suppose MCI fits as well. Have that in mind it'll be part of 1.46 and all open beta pics will eventually be replaced when it releases. (Usually me, hence, first come first serve)

![]() 2022-10-04 15:20 | Technically trams would fall under the same category as locomotives, and I believe cable cars kinda fall in that category. If not, then why would it be accepted, given that it's an iconic San Francisco cable car.
