I can go with demon/duster although it looks like a full-size and not a compact, which the dart/demon/duster was, but then again that doesn't matter too much with unlicensed cars hehe.

I've seen some dev interviews and it's probably worth pointing out that the demo derby cars aren't licensed, so this could very well be a Golf with altered styling. By the way, how on earth are people thinking it's similar to a Panda anyway? Even if you took all the plastic trim and bumpers etc off the real thing, the only thing that these two vehicles would have in common is that they're both hatchbacks. It's much more boxier, and it has square fenders, and the windows on the Golf/Rabbit are just like the ones on this car, and it also has circular fenders......so who's the idiot now, Jam?
