Not so bad with a lot of players, but with only two players, the other player wins too easily. |

stryder237 2011-08-25 10:42 | I played with this guy who kept driving down the same alley when he got the tag, when i get the tag I drive on the pavement on the right side of the road and go down alleys when ever I pas one. In trailblazer I make sure and am hitting the delorean so there is not chance of somone going in front of me. I sideswipe any cars that are i the trails, most the time they lose control. |

I didn't expect a nine a eight is a really good score. If driver: SF sells well when its realesed next week, hopefully they will make a sequel, maybe in a differant city with double the amount of cars. |

There was a display with a box saying what you got with the special edition, it said you got the DB5 and the taxi challenge, but it also said you got a "reality check" It said that the reality check included 3 "remote control" cars, somthing about a 3D race track, and something else I can't remember. Maybe the things are real, hence the name reality check, or in-game. Does any one else know about this? |

The Nintendo 'console named after a bodily fluid' version seems to be based off of the engine from Driver Parallel Lines looking at the damage model & physics. I guess it makes sense as the engine did already work on that format and already has support for all the core gameplay mechanics. Nice re-use of all the older car models from Driver Parallel lines too haha. |

This is basically the standard version with different box art and the Taxi challenge and the Aston Martin DB5 1963 for multiplayer. I don't see why the shift feature is a huge dealbreaker for some people, I played al the driver games and this is something diffrent but it doesn't make the game bad. |

shaymin82 2011-09-07 08:18 | Instead of using the normal brake, hold down the handbrake until you come to a complete stop without hitting anything. That one where it tells you to do a 200m handbrake stop is bloody impossible! I've done literally every other dare apart from that one!!!! |
dragonboy 2011-09-07 14:29 | Yeah that 200m was really hard. You need a really super fast car and full boost bar. I tried so many cars, eventually my success came with the lambo murcielago LP67-4 SV. Holding the boost on while you handbrake to give you that little extra bit of distance i found helps. |

Upon completion of the game the traffic flow gets messed up. the cars carcrasher88 mentions spawn THE WHOLE GODDAMN TIME and the ford crown vic taxi seems to retire from service, replaced by the impala and the minivan taxi, ambulance and the armoured van are nowhere to be seen, yet there are so many fire engines. The only diversity you get is when a random sports car appears, which makes the whole thing feel unnatural and forced This has ruined the replay value of what was until now an enjoyable game. I'm going to try and play new game plus, and see if that fixes it. This game needs a patch UREGENTLY. |

The '74 Monaco pulls up from 120 mph in 140 meters. Did it with the '69 charger R/T from 142 mph and stopped in well over 200 meters without using the boost rubbish haha. If anyones really struggling try doing it while going downhillAlthough I will agree that something is wrong with the car spawning palette/selection after game completion. Average domestic cars (non-police '99 crown vics, '06 caddy DTS, '10 towncar, '72 vista cruiser, '01 blazer, '08 base mustang, both F-series trucks and Rams) don't seem to ever appear after completing the game outside of side missions. Haven't seen the old COE semi truck ever spawn with a trailer either. Loved all the movie challenges except the two that don't really seem to be based on any actual movies (not in stockholm any more & fascination) and they've all got a decent them tune that could of almost been ripped right out of the target movie/TV show. Would of preferred some kind of A-team or smokey & the bandit 2 chases. I'm surprised since they have licenses for various GMCs that they didn't try for the '80 General Semi that Jerry Reed drove in smokey and the bandit 2 and was also used in Knight rider. Who knows they may have done but its not as high a priority as the T/A from the movie I guess haha |

During progression through the game we load an entire new set every chapter (with loading screen. On an interesting side note: shifted into a 2010 challenger, the girl in the passenger seat was betting $20 that 'Jack' - Tanner couldn't scare her, so I proceeded to do the usual old fashioned car action, huge slides, high speed into oncoming traffic without hitting anything, charging at pedestrians, huge jumps, cop chases and nothing happened; "boring", "this is soooo lame" and "I think I'll get my knitting out" were among the common responses. However at the end of destructive police chases where I rammed alot of the cruisers she said that this bet is what keeps her going and something is wrong with the city; "large groups of ravens, cops in comas, criminals at large" and so on. Annoyingly I pushed it too far and wrecked the car after what may have been an hour of attempting to scare her. Not sure if you are actually supposed to be able to scare her or not but there was alot of dialog there so maybe, have to see if I ever find them again. |

You just have to keep an eye out for them, as the most that spawn in an area at a time is 3 (trust me, I've done testing on this. Saw three Bel Airs, then it was replaced by a different car). The other way to get some of the cars (MP4-12C, Miura, LP670-4 SV), is to find them being chased by the police, but you'll have to lose the cops if you shift into them. |

Yes you do end up with a traffic set that does generally stay relatively constant, but some cars are being forever rotated despite the game chapter not changing and some cars seem to appear more in some locations than others. For example the older (50s-early 70s) cars seem to appear more frequently when down south, imports such as the audis, alfa romeos seem to appear more in downtown (not meaning they don't appear elsewhere but that location seems to be the most common location for that car) so it is possible that taking the rotating spool of traffic car slots allocated to the "less-common" cars that all cars could appear given a long enough cycle of in-game time. That is where my "Simple, you'll have to wait for the one time they spawn like the one time you'd see them in the real world" came from. Also let me be more specific about my other point "Anyway half the cars are unlocked by just buying all the garages so I wouldn't worry about not finding the one you're after" - more specifically I meant that half of the cars are unlocked for purchasing in your garage by buying the other garages. I may have accidentally insinuated that a vehicle will spawn more in traffic once unlocked for purchasing but that was not the intention. Hope that clears things up |

Obviously I won't see 95% of the exotic cars in a week in real life, but for the normal cars, would it have hurt the framerate that much to occasionally load one different car at a time? Apparently so, given they were so hell-bent on 60fps. Luckily I see rare cars often enough, and when I do challenges and dares, it gives me the last car I got from the garage in mint condition (I really like this feature!) |

It does seem the majority/casual-audience do want to see more exotic cars (whilst I most certainly do not) whether that fact is true of the majority of users on this website I do not know but certainly it seems to be the case of the majority of people in the real world, so apologies if I made the assumption that the desire (when it comes to automobiles) of the majority of real world demographics directly translates into the majority of users on the 'net, and subsequently assumed that someone was annoyed because they couldn't get the system to spawn rare vehicles instead of 'common' ones. Every system has its flaws and would you all rather the GTA system of re-using any vehicle models already in memory so your current car appears everywhere? |

shaymin82 2011-09-14 21:04 | Ubisoft Reflections were having a go at the online with a few people in Europe! I managed to get in the game and I beat Martin Edmondson at Tag!!!! They said that all of the online events are getting an extra layout tomorrow! This even includes the qualifying layouts! Martin actually had a headset on, so I got to hear quite a few of his favourite tactics! Like spawning right next to people in Blitz and spinning them out, apparently. When we all spawned into Dodge Viper SRT10 AC-R's for a Sprint GP race, he said that the Viper is a very 'marmite' car in the office. You either love it or hate it! Everyone from Reflections was only level 2 though! So they disabled weapons! (Well at least they did when a switch-over of players happened! Martin forgot to turn off the weapons during his round!) Overall, it was an awesome experience for such an awesome game! This has been one of the best games I've ever played for a long time! And meeting the creative director online and playing with him was just such a bonus! I remember how i had to download World Racing 2 since the copy i bought back in 2005 won't work because of the infamous Starforce protection. This game is great, but too bad a game like this didn't have any expansions (like The Sims series). It even says the game's cars and city itself may have been modified for the game in certain aspects. 2. I believe the aspect of fictional cars is still in there for authenticity, but what is wrong with having some licensed cars in game? It'd be a nice change(and it was) to had licensed stuff. No more confusion about what the cars are. 3.The AI is never going to be perfect. Perhaps, in John's coma, the cops he imagines are relentless. 4. The shift part ACTUALLY DOES make sense. The NAME OF THE FAKIN SERIES is Driver, so it would make sense for the game to only be driving. 5. Nobody else is complaining about the vehicle selection. Or the missions!
