Porsche 911 R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) | Keitanyan wrote Fun fact: According to Ridge Racer lore, this car is actually front-engined. Also, the Terrazi Troop's official 3D rendering looks closer to a Mitsubishi FTO than a Porsche. A render is irrelevant; it's about how it appears in a game. How is it you leave for years then come back and still try to make the same dumb edits that you used to?

Jaguar E-Type R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) | This one probably actually is 280z s30: i.redd.it/c0lmmeobux521.jpg This one is 280z from real mid night club in japan called the real "devil Z" and this car in game is most probably referencing to the real one with that bodykit. In japan its a legendary car on tokio / wangan freeways. IMO in game car is much closer to that "devil" 280z than to e-type (okay rear looks like e or f type) but 3/4 of the car looks pretty much like that 280z with bodykit.

Allard J2X-C R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) | jdmracerocket96 wrote Specifically it's a Reynard 97i with extended bodywork, the engine seems to match up with the Infamous Ilmor-Mercedes 500i engine Your argument is that it can't be a car that it looks like but instead a car it doesn't look like styled to look like this one?

Toyota MR2 R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) | You really need to get over this fixation with the fake brand name's country origin. Just because the car has a fake italian name doesn't automatically make it an italian car, same goes for other Ridge Racer cars. The body shape is completely wrong for a X1/9. -- Last edit: 2023-01-18 18:33:20

![]() R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) | Entry complete. Compared to the earlier Ridge Racer titles, Type 4 is probably the closest to what the later games in the series would be like. Quite a fun romp with a very involved story mode for a PS1 racing game.
Shelby Cobra Daytona R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) | Silnev wrote I think this is more of a Shelby Daytona Coupe than a GT90. Yeah, this ain't no GT90. Shelby Coupe, totally.

Toyota MR2 R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) | Keitanyan wrote Only that scoop thing on the back is from the Abarth SE 030. I find it interesting that you don't insist this car has to be italian since it's an Assoluto.
Dodge Viper GTS-R R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) | Keitanyan wrote More Dodge Copperhead than Dodge Viper, besides it is too square to be a Viper. Porsche 962 R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) | I think this is meant to be a Porsche 962. Chevrolet Corvette Greenwood IMSA GT R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 (1998) | It's quite a hodge-podge of Corvettes. C2 rear window, C3 rear end, greenhouse area is also C3-esque, (note the lines in the roof...t-tops?), and the front is pretty damn generic but overall looks very eighties. It's a tricky one, I'd just list it as a Sledgehammer just to wrap it up, honestly. Different people see different things. -- Last edit: 2019-07-10 19:18:38
