Ford Econoline Silent Hill 2 (2001) | On a closer inspection, this is at least a 1989 model. Older Econolines didn't have that handle over the rear license plate.

Lincoln Town Car Silent Hill 2 (2001) | Closer look from the model viewer: The rear of the car isn't modeled. It's a bit odd that most of the newer cars appear at the junkyard. -- Last edit: 2022-08-22 00:39:57

Silent Hill 2 (2001) | I have recently replayed this game, and since some pictures on this page are quite blurry, I also tried to take better photos of the cars. Unfortunately, some of them like the Land-Rover are located in unreachable areas and it's impossible to get closer to them. However, I found a level/model viewer for the game. I know that only pictures taken in the game are allowed, so I'll just leave the pictures taken in the model viewer in the comment section. Also, the VW Golf from first game reappears at the junkyard, but there's no way take a picture of it ingame: Also, I have noticed that Silent Hill 4: The Room is not listed yet on the site, I'll add it sometime in the future. -- Last edit: 2022-08-21 23:50:39

Buick Skylark Silent Hill 2 (2001) | Going by the grille texture, mirrors and headlights, this is a 1980-81, the headlights should be sloped back and the grille should be upright though: www.kitfoster.com/images/2011-3-9_SkylarkLFWeb-Large.jpg The front was redesigned to be more square for 1982-85, along with a new headlight arrangement and plastic mirrors: momentcar.com/images/buick-skylark-1982-4.jpg -- Last edit: 2017-02-10 22:13:16

Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Silent Hill 2 (2001) | I always took this one to be a '76-77 Chevy Malibu wagon. However, I always thought this car was a bit odd, in the way it was poorly rendered. All the other cars seemed like dead ringers for their real-life counterparts, but for some reason, they just didn't get this one right. It's been ages since I've played Silent Hill 2, but IIRC, this car only appeared once, toward the beginning of the game.

Chrysler LeBaron Silent Hill 2 (2001) | Ok, guess it's a LeBaron then after all. It's hard to tell, because all American cars of the late 70's/early 80's were striking unimaginative and generic.
Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Silent Hill 2 (2001) | Something of an amalgam. The taillights and rear hatch of from a Ford Pinto Country Squire (yes, there is such a thing), the grille appears to be from a 1953 Corvette, of all things, and the general shape of the body is consistent with a GM A-body station wagon from 1973-1977.
Chrysler LeBaron Silent Hill 2 (2001) | That picture does nothing but prove it's a LeBaron. Try to look at the entire car, instead of one minor element like the grille. Obviously a few tiny details will be changed, due to artistic license. It's a Chrysler LeBaron.
Chrysler LeBaron Silent Hill 2 (2001) | I think not. Look at the grille, looks nothing like a LeBaron: learnsomethingnewtoday.us/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/lebaron.jpg
