Kaido Battle: Touge no Densetsu (2005) | solarriors2019-05-11 14:46 | The thing is exactly that. Every other game is simply too small. So that's why @Twilight, your idea is contradictory. The only game that could pose a threat to Forza is if a big game came into play with as many content, features and general quality as Forza. And having simple mechanics wouldn't even help because one of the main attraction of Forza is that is offers a somewhat realistic/believable car behaviour with lots of possibilities regarding customization/free roaming and details in general.
More over it's also for this exact reason that Forza is also fun and enjoyable. I wouldn't compare it to a burnout because that's absolutely not the kind of gameplay you should expect from Forza. Especially the griefing. Plus Speedfreak is right. Older games from 90's early 00's had a very different mentality regarding content and gameplay
Lastly it's not because you see videos of some dudes playing with supercars that every one does or that it represents any kind of majority. Unless you're very influencable

Kaido Battle: Touge no Densetsu (2005) | speedfreak9752019-05-11 11:50 | Forza especially horizon has become standard simply because no other franchise has met its standards (like it or not game has always provided the most for its price and replayability). Similarly to how NFS was the franchise of 90s and early 2000s.
And Comparing older games with new isnt as feasible anymore due to how economy has vastly shifted throughout the years

Kaido Battle: Touge no Densetsu (2005) | twilight sparkplug2019-05-11 09:37 | ha.. Ok so Forza is The racing game at the moment? I remember being a kid and the in thing was Gran Turismo.
I play Forza for what I would call... Regular, and-or Obscure cars. yet I only ever see videos of people driving supercars in it. hope they don't drop all the normal stuff.
A game comes along where I can drive a Caprice wagon, Crown vic, Austin A30, and all that kind of stuff and I would be happy.
But for now, has anybody considered starting small? I am sure there are people out there able to make a smaller scope sprite-based games around cars. If I had the ability I would have made a driving / cars collecting game with stuff like finding cars in barns and a very simplistic car mechanic type system, with many sprite cars, and parts. but tha ws just my fantasy thing. |

We should only stop if there is a game that can prove what you said, otherwise just forget it for now, new games won’t be the same like the older ones, I myself prefer Forza over any other racing game at the moment , that being said it’s not perfect neither it’s what I expect, but it’s better than some crap we have nowadays

It's hard to import a car these days in the Philippines but they do get in my country as long as it's converted to LHD.I wanna import a 1989 Nissan March Turbo someday. But if your country has many riced Honda Civics and you can't find a stock one, go in here buy a Civic because my country has many Civics (most Civics here are stock, and there are many of them) and there many kinds of Civics to buy. Some Honda Civics here are riced/Pre-riced,old and beat-up and stock. Body styles? Sedan and hatchback and if you ask me if there are Civic shuttles, well, no chance (Tuned Civics are not for sale here.) And here are the generations available- 5th gen to the lastest gen. And if you're lucky, you could even buy (or not, since it's one of the rare) grey import 4th gen Civic Sedan.
In my country, it's very easy to import cars. As long as the vehicle is 15 years or older (2002) it can be considered "legal", so I usually see R34 skylines and Lancer Evo VIIs. If you buy a car stateside (across the border) you have to buy it in America, then bring it to the border and fill in paperwork, but Craigslist finds lack the paperwork. However, if any of these import vehicles get into an accident, they will be considered "salvage", meaning that they cannot be driven anymore and are used for parts. The other day, I saw an R33 GTS-4 skyline on craigslist, had the turbo, but had an auto. It was for 5 grand and had about 100k's on it. It was a salvage title because it was in an accident, which the only damage was a slight dent on the driver door. What a shame.
