Well this seems a little all over the place, SO I agree with most of it here, It seems to be mostly jeep based, The body styling, and engine options seem to match that up. Funny the 4.0 Option has almost identical style wheels to the 4.0 94 wrangler I owned about 7 years ago. and nice to see it drives just as terribly on road as I remember. The new 4 wheel drive select system is nice too rather than one or the other. The only thing that bothers me here is making it an Ibishu, Sure the grill may look very Vaguely Japanese but it certainly does look like a jeep, has the same engine options. The site still confuses me tho. Samurai, FJ40, If anything it looks like a Mitsubishi... but only because that is a jeep anyway. I dunno I guess the whole Cars being labeled as brands that are totally different from what they are kidna bothers me for reasons? Its like if I made a game and called a supra a 'Ward Stallion GT' Triggered Tho I guess its the same for the Pigeon and I never complained about that... but kinda wish it had one of those Asian 3 wheel truck type cabs insted now. -- Last edit: 2017-04-17 21:15:01
wow Im dumb, Why did I keep saying freelander? Oh well. I still cant see this being a Landrover of any type regardless. My two cents Also, Mathias98 Welcome to my world, I try to post images, and comparisons but people don't seem to care that much about those :P you can show an exact car, and someone will still make a seemingly random suggestion after you, Not all the time, But some people seem to post before they read the other peoples comments is all. -- Last edit: 2017-04-13 23:19:02
I like it when things work like this, Lots of people making images, and actually explaining themselves. its nice. I could never identify the landstalker myself, I had no idea it was listed as such on this site. I personally would like to say it does not look like a Freelander in any way? I had the misfortune of buying one of those once so maybe I have a bias on the fact I cant stand to see it :P The comparisons with the jeep do work in some ways but its also.. Not quite there too, I personally always imagined it being something Japanese, But never could find something to fit the shape. The rear end bugs me, Looks like a cross between and old Discovery and a Montero or something.. But still... Jeep is closer than Freelander Edit: Also I would just like to say, Using wiki to find out about game cars is a really bad idea, Check out the GTA2 wiki page if you want some eye rolling fun. -- Last edit: 2017-04-13 19:46:33
Heh.. well I've given pictures for games in 2016 and they are still the same. I think Once a a picture is uploaded its kinda hard to undo that. www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=92926 -- Last edit: 2017-03-29 20:21:10
Agree - Anything from the game developer added to the game would be considered just extra content. But as you said it does become harder now we have these kind of expansions. Now I never would post mods on here, This is why I can not add anything to Euro Truck Simulator, My game is so riddled with mods Its hard to take a screenshot that would not have one in view.. But that's going off topic. I guess the question we are left with is what makes mods official? If they are sold by the developer, Or if they are Only made by the developer? Also for the discussing of rules and such things this seems.. Kind of awkward? is there any forum, or place we can all talk about these kinds of things?
yeah.. It seems odd this is the same car listed as two different cars because of the number of doors? Personally Id say its more of a first gen civic, With a taller golf like body.
@PerfTom14 Yes From what I remember, That always annoyed me too, I dislike being forced into a car in a game. Here is some cash.. Buy a car, How about this one? No Id rather look for something a little older first. Tough. And with that I was forced into the Honda dealership at gunpoint. -- Last edit: 2017-03-26 22:03:35
That appears to be a Freightliner grill. But the rest of the truck seems generic and made up.
The front is very squared, Id agree with AutoTracker, GMC, Or Chevrolet.
well, The rules seem to sometimes be different from page to page here if I'm honest So Only DLC planned from the start, Granted The stories of liberty city was built into the game from the start, but does that mean the cars added from now on, Should not be added due to the fact they were not all planned from the very start of the game as the text you showed said? and I'm sure not all Forza cars were planned, Nowadays there are Paid mods, and there are DLC, To me these are more expansions to the game, since they are provided by Dovetail, for Train simulator, Sold on there site, and are in the DLC section of train simulators steam page. To me I would not class this the same as third part y paid mods you get from other sites (such as armstrongpowerhouse a site that Sells good quality mods for train simulator) In short, This is as official as DLC gets, Think of dovetail as just a Publisher then? I guess the easiest thing for me to do is.. Not add any content to this site. I will just sit back and watch other people upload cars and then start arguments that way. I have no problem researching cars, But I don't want to look into who made what DLC for what game, and if it was the original dev or not. Edit: Just to note, I am not being aggressive or confrontational here, Please Calmly tell me if I have misinterpreted anything you have said here, Sometimes things come across differently in text -- Last edit: 2017-03-26 20:45:18
What counts as official? I go by anything that is sold under the DLC section on steam, Excluding workshop items. Its also sold on dovetails official Train simulator site under routes. And Id say more 'Official' than many of the mobile, or web games on here. -- Last edit: 2017-03-26 18:21:35
Truck only ever appears once, when it unloads the train on The Corris Railway DLC Tho the invisible track still exists during later scenarios.
Comes with the GWR 56XX Pack - So I assume its something British from WW2
From the Isle of Wight DLC The most low detail vehicle I have ever seen in Trainsim, Appears in the distance during a heritage run on the Isle of Wight along side the steam tractors and such, so I'm assuming its British despite the long hood. I will try look into it more later.
From the Isle of Wight DLC. I looked up the license plate there and it turns out this is an exact copy of a real steam tractor, Same colors, name, plate. The others are just recolors, and modified versions of this so I labled them as the same type. www.steamscenes.org.uk/engines/fowler/showmans-road-locomotive/19782/
I would say its not the exact model? The headlights look more sunk in on the other, the roof looks lower, there's a bar across the front bumper grill, the wheel wells I'm sure are slightly larger here, the mirrors are definitely more rounded. Tho it may be based of the same original mesh, Cant tell without having them both to look at. -- Last edit: 2017-03-26 12:56:03
From the Riviera line in the 50s DLC I literally have no idea what this could be, It appears in a map set in the 50s in the United kingdom if that helps. but who knows could be totally made up.
From the Riviera line in the 50s DLC
From Weardale and Teesdale network DLC
.. I was wrong - From the Woodhead Line DLC -- Last edit: 2017-03-26 18:09:35 (Mieguy)
From the Riviera line in the 50s DLC
From the Riviera line in the 50s DLC
Oh Hey, I agree with that totally, Liek you said has the radiator badge.. Usually they remove stuff like that in games.. I know for sure this is not licensed.. hm. From the Riviera line in the 50s DLC
Yes, Now if only it were a 2door, they could just pass it as a Bronco.
From the textures I think its meant to be something like a late 70s Cherokee or such.
Mieguy wrote @Twilight Sparkplug: Which route is this? Looks like Riviera 50s to me. I was waiting for these to appear so I could write what DLC they are from, The green buses are from Riviera, This is from weardale and teesdale I belive. I had it all typed out somewhere, Let me go double check it all and I will type up what is from what.
The shape seems weird but the textures seem to suggeest its something like an Impala/Caprice, With a 70s rear and 60s front?
late 50s F500? -- Last edit: 2017-03-25 13:27:22
Kinda generic euro-sport looking? Reminds me both of a Ferrari 225, and the Austin Healey coupe
No offence but the comments on this site always manage to blow my mind. Anyway, Ford F350? Mercury M350?
heh.. I rented a Q50 last year, Nice drive, still prefer my older cars.. Stupid question tho, Whats with all the names? Is it just because Nissan is not considered a prestige car in most countries? Like the Lexus thing?..
Just going to point out I don't see any 914 in this, anywhere. I don't know what it is. Just sayin' the name seems a little off..
Should we not just say MFG? Lego cars are usually pretty generic designs with having to use the same blocks and such.
Hakari wrote Actually the shape of grille and fender cut makes it a Peterbilt 362: bright-cars.com/uploads/peterbilt/peterbilt-362/peterbilt-362-06.jpg It also doesn't have this ladder-like thing behind doors like real K100: racem.org/wp-content/uploads/parser/Kenworth-k100-2.jpg Hm. I knew I was missing something there. I was so sure 'I know this truck.. But the photos look diffrent' Well thats my mind screwing up then.
Did some more looking around here. This is still labeled as Ford? Here is an image for you all. dailydieseldose.com/wordpress/wp-content/gallery/yorkcabover1/002.jpg White Freightliner COE. The earliest I could find was 1950. But there is no info on any wiki or such that I can find. But Im pretty sure that it is the closest truck to this shape wise.
1947 GMC Pickup Looks like an old grain truck too.
Hakari wrote It's not a Kenworth. Look at the shape of fenders and bonnet and then talk crap. I agree with Western Star but we need to find the exact model. Well the one I showed is a Western Star 4900. But after reading over the sales brochure They don't sell a single axel variant, Whereas the T800 does. Still If I am to go on appearance alone I would still say 4900. If you google that tho you will see variants with different hoods and such, But the same is true for the T800. So I guess it is down to whats more important here? The style of toe body, Or the number of axles. It could be the game designers did not really look into it to much and just pulled some google images down of modern trucks. so Who knows.
JFK wrote Sure Oh Those textures sure are messy. I thought there might be some clues in the rear lights But oh well. See what everyone else thinks.
Edit: Ok so google lied to me. I guess just go with GMC PD-3751 The shape is diffrent but textures are there. erased the whole Yellow coach thing I left earlier -- Last edit: 2016-11-19 18:16:29
Any chance of rear pic there to help?
Well, I would say A K100 Is the closest thing here.
Well that certainly is a Caprice front end. The rear im not sure of at this moment.. Almost looks like a caprice wagon with the rear roof cut off.
the world of trucks seems confusing. I think I find something and it all falls apart after that, hm. well At least we know its not the usual P30 or such :B Turns out the same body is also used on a Ford E series chassis? Well I just don't know how to class this one then.
hm, well seems you are right And from the windshield highlight and the background Id say its probably this image.
heh, Part Lamborghini Part corvette
Pretty sure all the step vans are Freightliners in this game Freightliner MT45 The grill, headlights, all that stuff are just Identical.
Razor440 wrote Well, there was a an update that replaced the 2006 Dodge R/T with the Charger. So yeah, this was a placeholder rather than a legit Intrepid. Ah, I see, I wondered why It did look so different from all the other intrepid Nascars I saw.
Well it does not have the black striping and all that. Would this not be just like, a Corolla GTS? Im not a Toyota expert It just seems that a Corolla GTS would be more likely than it actually being a Sprinter Trueno?
I figured I would look more into Nascar to put a nail in this :P But it only got more confusing, The real life version of these cars, of these years have Charger clearly written on the front ends, And are listed on some places As chargers, But are still listed in other sites photos as Intrpeids So looking further I read about the return of the Charger to Nascar This reveal photo was apparently taken in January the 11th 2005, And since the game was released in February of the same year That doesn't leave an awful lot of time in the game development world, I doubt they would still be making car models by then, I have no idea if the charger was known about Before then tho. So I assume they just had charger wrote on the car as an advertisement? So lets compare the 19/9 Intrepid of that era, against the charger in the above picture. Hopefully this will samp out any further arguments :P
I will do, Seems no rush tho. updates are not so speedy. Also seem to have got the images the wrong way around, hm Maybe I should have sent the replace image and Then uploaded the second image, Not sure what happened here. Edit: Did all the trucks now. -- Last edit: 2016-11-06 19:19:54 |
