I honestly always got Prowler vibes with this car. Pretty interesting looking with a hardtop.
Glad Crew 2 is still adding 90's cars (and that they haven't shut down the servers yet...) but will we ever get some domestic ones? I'd love to see a 94 Mustang or a Viper or even something like a C/K or Ford Explorer.
Can't wait for the fun police to say I can't store it in my garage
Nitpicking but I'm glad they got rid of those "nubby" looking tire treads the ATVs had in GTAV, so ugly...
mcthieve wrote I hope that they make it possible to remove the donk wheels, would be super lame if they made the same mistake that they did when they added this car to GTA Online and force a customized car down our throats. Gotta admit, it'd make driving through the Everglades easy :P
Stratum is returning again. Been with us since GTA IV, constantly confusing people with its mix of Honda Accord and Nissan Skyline looks.
Considering the bumper stickers and prevalence in the trailer it's likely one of the main character's cars. Jason drives it in the game footage.
Would love if this is the game where the Ruiner finally adopts a full Iroc-Z front end and they split off the Fairlady hood into its own vehicle.
Damage model looks amazing for vehicles... unless this wreck is the only one that gets such deformation. The chassis looks twisted and the axles are completely bent.
Looks like it got a makeover. In GTA Online the tailight is split in the middle and the whole car looks more "squished" almost resembling a frog :P
Some NPC trying to do a bit of Miami Vice cosplay with their car? Was hoping the Cheetah would get a makeover for GTAVI, those circle taillights really don't look that good.
Does it even make sense for the game to have these? GTA VI is apparently set in modern day but Crown Vics were retired from fleet service some years ago...
Just like in Saints Row the Third: Remastered they used a beautiful model for the Reaper hearse and don't make a civilian version with it...
I'm certain they forgot to add the front bumper to this model. You can easily see the lack of an axle and during gameplay it's actually quite hard to ram other vehicles due to them always sliding under the cab.
Definitely a 1988 Eagle Medallion (AKA Renault 21 in Europe) it has the same body lines, lowered real wheel arch, and trim. My mom had one, thing is the biggest lemon I swear... cimg1.ibsrv.net/ibimg/hgm/1000x563-1/100/386/1988-renault-medallion_100386601.jpg
It's in GTA V as the "Z-Type" but its more inspired by the Type 57 as opposed to being the real thing since GTA doesn't have licensed vehicles.
Anybody notice the front bumper/splitter whatever you wanna call it is bugged out? By default it uses the custom bumper and theres no way to get the stock version like the Capshaw had in Saints Row 1.
Get ready to see a tidal wave of these online mimicking Brian's from the first Fast and the Furious movie...
Feel weird saying this but it almost looks like they stole the model of the Nordberg from Saints Row 3 Remastered >.>
Wonder if its top speed is like 60mph? I'm gonna drive this thing from New York to LA and see how long it takes :P
I actually begged on the forums for several months last year to get an IROC-Z Camaro... guess I'll have to be happy with a Trans-Am :P
Why is it so hard to get a regular 1984 Testarossa in racing games nowadays? Even with Forza they have to use the later 90's versions where they added ugly design changes in order to keep the car looking "modern"
Hopefully in Sims 5 they bring back driveable cars... it feels like something huge is missing with Sims 4 right now because of this. EAxis: Why should we add cars? Fresh-Prince will mod them in eventually anyway.
Thats enough to bring me back to the game! Wonder if they ever fixed the problem with disappearing traffic and nighttime being 20 seconds long?
Can't keep it stock like this unfortunately... saving the car or going to RimJobs puts the news decals back on it.
Careful if you decide to keep one of these and take it to RimJobs. Customizing it has lead to pretty much a 100% game crash rate for me. I think theres a serious glitch going on with either the paint or the rear wheel covers- each time I've changed something on the car I'll either freeze in the RimJobs menus or crash within a minute of leaving the place. I've played the remaster for over 160 hours now and the Churchill is the only car that causes this.
TheGreaser wrote Yep. If only it actually was a drivable SUV. Anytime when Volition pulls a remaster of SR2, it better have nicer graphics than the orig. Shame a lot of cars from SR2 got cut from SR:TT, and I STILL regret it even after a decade. I miss the Mag most of all. It was the Cadillac Escalade knock-off. I drive one in real life and it was in the first trailer for SR1 along with the Compton- both cars deserve to be in the series until it ends! >o<
The Legion from Saints Row 2. Most redneck-looking truck you could find in the city :P Brotherhood drove them all the time.
Gran Turismo 2 memories here we come! I'm gonna do two-tone white/grey just like it was in the Used Cars lineup :P -- Last edit: 2020-06-17 23:19:22
Sharky wrote I really feel like a b-pillar would help this car look a lot better. Thanks for ruining the car for me, I'll never be able to unsee that its missing one -_- guess I can only drive this thing as a convertible now.
Thing comes so close to being gorgeous but the back of the car is a little too scrunched up when you look at the car from the side.
Anybody know how to get the Reaper from the Hughs Memorial Bridge cutscene? I can probably just copy most of the parts onto an NPC version but I'd like it to be 100% accurate including the unique "Saints Purple" paint.
Model could of used some remaster love. In SR2 it looks fine enough but in SR3 they gave it this ugly bodyline where from the side it looks like a clown shoe or a hot dog bun xD just put a hot dog on top and you've got the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile!
Small detail but I love they got rid of those ugly circular headlights this thing has had since Saints Row 2. Hope Volition keeps the vehicle model changes Spersoft made (or did Volition themselves give them the assets? Who knows...)
Drive this thing if you want to experience the game's worst flaw- the vehicle sounds. Barely push the throttle down? "VRRRRRRRNNNNNNN!!!!!!!! *shift* VRRRRRRRRNNNNNN!!!!!!!" Funny though if you go into cruise control all vehicles in the game suddenly sound normal with smooth acceleration that corresponds to your current speed... weird.
The front end is so detailed and gorgeous, just a shame its only available in the form of a hearse... I'd love to drive around Steelport in an old beater DeVille.
TheGreaser wrote Don't forget hardcrashes. I hope Volition can squash some bugs. Right, I did have ONE crash that slipped my mind. It was during tank mayhem and I shot a rocket into a huge group of vehicles... crashed the game and shot me back to the Xbox menus. Must of been too much for the console to take!
carcrasher88 wrote Agreed. Bugs like this are what's keeping me from buying this game at this time. I've put in 24 hours so far and the only bugs are small things (aside from the Genki Manapult being a mess) like the radio announcing the wrong song once in a while, some clothes getting messed up models when worn together (mostly from the DLC) and the weird audio problems they never fixed- cars have infinite gears, and peds yell like you're always about to hit them. Its definetly worth picking up though, the car models and main characters look so much better, the textures are all bumped way up and it runs at 60FPS on Xbox One X.
TheGreaser wrote Old version, for comparison (I did not get a rear shot yet): Am I the only one that thinks the original was better than this? I love the early 90's Ford Explorer as much as anyone (the Jurassic Park version is in my Top 5 Movie Cars) but the model Volition was using for it looked so dated and overused... MAYBE if they added the Two-Tone Eddie Bauer trim package I'd be fine with it hanging around :P
Thing is a glitchy mess and you can't remove it from your garage.... makes you wonder how it slipped past QA if you ALWAYS have to see it when you scroll to your saved cars.
This thing is beautiful with Saints paint and the right rims, the bumpmapping and shaders make the bodywork on the car look almost like a Hot Wheel :P
Ugh.... why can't cars look like this nowadays? This is the kind of thing I thought we'd be seeing in 2020 when I was a kid -_-
You can't make it a cabrio like you could on last-gen anymore
Wish they'd chop it down the middle and make a DeVille. Saints Row needs more in the way of Cadillacs.
You can make a civilian version by painting it candy black and removing the roof signage. As long as the sun doesn't hit it a certain way you won't see the decals on the doors ^.^
Careful, the tread on those tires looks pretty bald...
If thats how the Nelson spawns in traffic I'm keeping a stock one at all times.
Wish there was a stock version of this and the taxi... such beautiful vehicles I'd love to cruise around in.
They really stepped up their game on the car remodeling, it actually looks like a supercar I'd wanna drive and not a wedge of cheese with a spoiler.
Wonder if the back still resembles a Nissan Skyline? |
