Honda CT90? | ||
looks more like an s-10 to me
This is a 1981 k-10 | ||
Not quite drivable, but usable in the barest sense of the word. In a sequence in later parts of the game, you can use the Abrams' main gun and 50 cal to fight off a wave of enemies, but the tank itself is entirely immobile and cannot be driven. The closest thing to drivable vehicles are the Tram cars that are used extensively during the middle of the game, which you can control, but obviously you can't steer them being on tracks so I don't think they constitute as a vehicle. In the sequels there are a few cars you can drive, though.
The original version of half life has the black mesa SUV as an S10 Blazer, whereas the PS2 version and Black Mesa Source remake use a Jeep XJ Cherokee,
I'm still sticking with a VW Citi Golf. The in-game dialogue and model filename suggest that it's a Golf, and it appears to be pretty similar to the pictures. I don't consider grilles to be indicative of model and make, since making one up is the easiest ways for game designers to avoid litigation, but I admit that it shares some similarities to the Yugo. In fact, Yugos and Golfs looking strikingly similar in general
1989-1997 | ||
I'm starting to think it's an '88 Samurai now. It could really be any light SUV, honestly, since it's a low-poly model.
@bondergomme , it's probably part of a multiplayer map, but then again this is the same game that has a Wrangler in Vietnam
uaz-469 entered production in 1973, it didn't exist in 1962
there is a silver one the player takes control of (Elana drives while Drake shouts out where to steer, but gameplay wise it is still controlled by the player) at the end of chapter 16 "one shot at this"
Overwiki also says it has more in common with a "V100", which is another name for a Cadillac Gage commando It's not a BDRM, a BDRM looks like this: Whereas a V100 looks like this It's a Cadillac Commando V100. People just dismiss it as a BDRM because it takes place in an Eastern bloc country, but it really has more in common with a Cadillac Commando V100
Soap, as the player, takes control of the wheel after the driver is shot. A very short, but nonetheless fun driving sequence ensues.
probably a multiplayer map.
I don't know a lot about construction equipment, but that looks like a bobcat

1988 GMC Sierra: versus a 1989 GMC S-15 It's an s-15. The truck in-game is a lot boxier than the GMC Sierra, and while the grill does indeed look like it came straight off a Sierra/Silverado, the vehicle in-game is a small-size pickup rather than a full-size. Since all the vehicles left on the island predate 1990(except from the vehicles brought there during the events of The Lost World), and this is a small size truck adhering to the Chevrolet/GMC design language, it'd have to be the only small-size pickup offered by GMC at the time: the S-15 look at the side profile rather than the grille and you'll see what I mean. -- Last edit: 2011-10-05 05:54:19
In the context of the game, the story mentions Isla Nublar was abandoned in 1990. 1982-1993 GMC S15 would fit the profile of a fleet truck during the 1980's The screenshot's a little distorted from widescreen, if you saw it in it's normal aspect ration, you'd immediately recognize it as this
At least according to gameplay videos, these ATV's are drivable. I'll ask my friend to be sure, since he actually has the game.

Yes, you can drive it. In the boneyard level, the escape driver is shot, and you have to take the wheel and drive towards the cargo plane's ramp before it takes off.
Oddly enough, the model file refers to this as a '2001 SUV' but it's obviously not.
The model file refers to it as a 2004 truck, and honestly, I think it's supposed to be simply that, a generic mid-aughts fullsize truck. The front is a Ram, the cab is an F-150
It's just the "Combine APC" half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Armored_Personnel_Carrier
As I mentioned on the game's page, this vehicle is drivable.
looks kind of like a trabant. The taillights aren't right, though.
I'm not an expert with vehicle maintanance but that suspension looks a bit... ...off.
nice screenshot | ||
Wrest is right, the famous APC was a heavily modified runway vehicle like this one.
More of a made for game inspired by a commando
the lada is drivable, by the way.
Looks kind of like an LAV-25 but it doesn't have enough wheels
Comes in both US Colonial Marine and Weyland-Yutani flavors.
At one point in the game, ajournal or computer log or something actually refers to them as "unimogs", so I think that pretty much confirms it.
Ingame it's known as the "Poseidon Interceptor" also, kegare, the game takes place a few yeaars after the first one, placing somewhere in the 2030's or 2040's.
Looks kind of like the bike from Akira
General Dynamics LAV-25.
^Agree | ||
A Chevrolet Step Van is the token SWAT van in movies and games, but since this has Cryllic characters written on it, I'd say it's something Russian.
my favorite part in the game.
In my opinion, one of the coolest ways to die in a game. here's the cuscene
This very same model appears in Counter-Strike: Source, as do many vehicles from Left 4 Dead.
Green star, used in a cutscene
haha "frod" | ||
Chevrolet bel air, just a wild guess. -- Last edit: 2009-01-18 21:00:21
Used in a short (but nonetheless awesome) chase scene, but like Starwarfanatic said, only in a CGI cutscene.
In the original Terminator film, the future car was a Pontiac LeMans: imcdb.org/vehicle_120448-Pontiac-LeMans-1976.html
It also might be noteworthy that while driving it in first-person, the vehicle has no doors, and a bar dividing the windshield. Apperently at some point in development, the vehicle was supposed to be some sort of military jeep, maybe a MUTT.
1967 Bronco, definitely.
Most likely a 1990 toyota hilux: |
