 Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse Car Jack Streets (2008) | well, Im just going by the facts I know, The art for this game was mostly stolen, Including stuff Ive made back then, After contacting the company who made the game, They explained that an outside artist was hired, this 'artist' simply downloaded a bunch of sprites from GTA1 modding sites edited them and sold them to the copmany.. This sprite was drawn by JRS21 someone I Knew from the modding days of GTA1, and he spcifically said, It was an S Class, so if the orignal sprite was an S Class, Mearly mirroring the image wont change it (also dident fool any of us) also Race driver The sprite was made in 2003, a year befor the CLS was even around. | |

I dont think theres Anything with a grill that wide at the front tho? Closest ive found so far is some old macks, but I cant tell what they are, Same model name seems to have diffrent bodys from what I look up, some being wider front lookin.  Chevrolet Monte Carlo Grand Theft Auto IV (2008) | Automotive Gaming wrote Faction isn't a problem. There's the Sabre Turbo already ingame, that sounds more problematic to me, as I think they won't add another Sabre since there's one ingame already. But theres allready two Cavelcades, and two buffalos, and number of other cars with new and old versions. Pluss I would also like one of these back in game since.. Untill 2015 I owned one. Now I miss it.. Tho Id say the rear end is closer to my 1987, than it was the 86, the 86 has kinda recessed lights rather than a flush rear. Altho yeah. I used top a Contour, And side refrences of a mondeo, The contour is only avalicble as a 4 door sedan but there are no refs I can find of a mondeo of that era, I do belive a modeo directly from the top would look more curved than a sierra. Ford Mondeo Grand Theft Auto (1997) | Its kinda close to call but I still belive its more sierra like. Theres the old concept, and then theres the shape. I decided to get a bunch of refrence images from the sideera, and mondeo 5 door hatchbacks.  Ignoring the lights, Both cars have a large window on the tailgate, a very slightly raised area in the center of the hood, being a very bland car thats all I could pick out, So heres a drawing I did based on the mondeo and sierra refrences, of the basic body shape.  I may have overdone it a little but the mondeo deiffinatly has more rounded side windows toworods the top, the rear of both cars is surprisngly flat if you look from the rear, only that the mondeo has a more rounded window, It seems rather close to call.. Heres each car drawing shrunk down to 35x62 pixels, The size of the car in the sprite for GTA.  So I think the reson some GTA cars look off, is due to the small sprite size, Cars are allways oddly proportioned being very short and wide, Its very close But I would still call this a sierra based on the flatter front, and flatter roof. -- Last edit: 2016-03-13 10:48:38 | |

 Leyland Octopus Grand Theft Auto (1997) | One of the most Bizar cars in GTA, I dont think the base model is even american, The game coming from a british company I think they just based the tanker on a random toy. The unusual sides have allways confused me. They seem as if they are way too sloped, Also 8 wheels? (or probly 12 wheels, But two rear axels with 4 front steering wheels) te first thing this made me think of was those 8 wheel british trucks.  So I dug around a little and found this.  The tanker has allways been strange with its lined roof and 8 wheels funy sides.. but still that truck has flat sides.. so heres what I think happend. Take a pic of the top of the truck, its not 100% top, theres a little side showing, so what if they just fliped the image and based it off that? to give it more character rather than being a flat box, with a cylinder behind it. 1. Pic of truck at angle 2. Flip image to mirror it. 3.Show wheels more, Add flamible sign, GTA Tanker  Sooo... Does this mean the GTA Tanker in the us, is actully a british Leyland Bison? Ford Mondeo Grand Theft Auto (1997) | While digging around in the history of GTA, for a mod I was making (reverting it all back to early concepts) I got ahold of the early DMA car concepts again, The game apears like it was going to use a more GTA2 like system, with trucks and trailers, and a much more GTA2 like, car color palet system. anyway sevral cars are very similar, a few cars caught my attention, One of them being the car that looks very much like the Mundano. The orignal concept I at first thought was a Murker Scorpio, but the rear window dosent fit, And the other Murker is only a 3 door, So this has some euro influence, Personally I think its a cross of the Europian Ford Sierra, the Scorpio, making some kinda weird Murker 5 door hatch, wich would have been cool. Anyway take a look.  So how would ya call that? Ford Sierra? Dosent fit the us but looks closer, Murker Scorpio? Front is the same but rear window is diffrent.  Ford Econoline Grand Theft Auto (1997) | Its larger than any other GTA car, it has big flat sides, a clearly angular body, so whats that mean? Oh, Ofcorse, Its a small europian van. Also the name Transit just means Movement, or To move, something is 'In transit'  Note some step vans have a very small split betwene the windsheild. In the transit this would be 2 pixels wide, wich would look like a 5 or so inch thick bar.  Many step vans also come with diffrent shaped hoods, grills, front ends, Roofs, and roof bars, Because of all this, I belive the Tansit in GTA, Because of its size, shape, design I belive it to be a generic type of american step van from the late 90s. -- Last edit: 2016-03-12 13:55:46 | |
