I used top a Contour, And side refrences of a mondeo, The contour is only avalicble as a 4 door sedan but there are no refs I can find of a mondeo of that era, I do belive a modeo directly from the top would look more curved than a sierra. Maxine 2016-03-13 10:41	Its kinda close to call but I still belive its more sierra like. Theres the old concept, and then theres the shape. I decided to get a bunch of refrence images from the sideera, and mondeo 5 door hatchbacks. Ignoring the lights, Both cars have a large window on the tailgate, a very slightly raised area in the center of the hood, being a very bland car thats all I could pick out, So heres a drawing I did based on the mondeo and sierra refrences, of the basic body shape. I may have overdone it a little but the mondeo deiffinatly has more rounded side windows toworods the top, the rear of both cars is surprisngly flat if you look from the rear, only that the mondeo has a more rounded window, It seems rather close to call.. Heres each car drawing shrunk down to 35x62 pixels, The size of the car in the sprite for GTA. So I think the reson some GTA cars look off, is due to the small sprite size, Cars are allways oddly proportioned being very short and wide, Its very close But I would still call this a sierra based on the flatter front, and flatter roof. -- Last edit: 2016-03-13 10:48:38

Anyway you are kidding right? The mondeo is much rounder, the Mundano in gta has too much of a flat roof, Theres also the chanels on the roof withere roofracks are attatched wich dont seem to be on all sierras, Could ya explain the basis for saing its a modeo for me?

Maxine 2016-03-12 14:24	While digging around in the history of GTA, for a mod I was making (reverting it all back to early concepts) I got ahold of the early DMA car concepts again, The game apears like it was going to use a more GTA2 like system, with trucks and trailers, and a much more GTA2 like, car color palet system. anyway sevral cars are very similar, a few cars caught my attention, One of them being the car that looks very much like the Mundano. The orignal concept I at first thought was a Murker Scorpio, but the rear window dosent fit, And the other Murker is only a 3 door, So this has some euro influence, Personally I think its a cross of the Europian Ford Sierra, the Scorpio, making some kinda weird Murker 5 door hatch, wich would have been cool. Anyway take a look. So how would ya call that? Ford Sierra? Dosent fit the us but looks closer, Murker Scorpio? Front is the same but rear window is diffrent. Proves my point. The rear glass of this car is from the Mondeo hatch, thus it appears to be a Mondeo. Despite ostensibly being set in the U.S., keep in mind that these games are developed in the U.K., so certain British cars have a habit of finding their way in, such as the Ford Escort Cosworth ("Cossie") and Ford Transit vans ("Transit").
