Surprised it's a RHD car, not a LHD example.

Sourcing has been quite a mess historically in Forza. Ideally each model should represent their country/region, but we have a mixed bag, some JDM models are JP-Spec, some are Euro-Spec, some US-Spec...some classic British models are LHD, some European cars such as this and the newest Audi RS4 Avant are RHD, and more...I think the only thing left to see would be a JP-Spec US car, such as the Mk.V Mustang in Gran Turismo.

I understand they take what they can gets their hands into for reference, but still, it's quite a weird mix of specs all across the list.

I wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on the new game, J-2. :) For me, I haven't played Forza in years, and looking back the series peaked at FM4, IMO.

FM 2023...Worst Forza ever made. Period. They had extra development time, they had plenty of content and features available not from previous titles, added since this very game, and they delivered an uncomplete mess of issues and missing content. Cars, factory colors, tracks and some variants, features...so much is missing.

And of course...'built from the ground up'...no. The FM1/FM2 inaccurate models are still there (the 22B at least is supposed to have been redone, need to check that) cars that were fine have several issues now, tracks are not even up to date (Spa is several years old, Barcelona only updated the layout, not the surroundings, and as stated, variants are missing such as the Club one) the livery editor is worse than ever, the photo mode didn't get anything new from FH5, just a handful of career races available at launch, and none for racing cars...and way more things. And don't get me even more started on issues, hundreds of known and reported ones. It's just a very unpleasing experience. PC version is awful, the popping is so bad the track disappears and reappears every single second, people with RTX 4090 and 64gb RAM have the same issue, it's literally unplayable right now.

I know they want to play the long game here, but they do need to take drastic measures now unless their plan is to kill the Motorsport division based on poor reception, and just focus on Horizon, FH5 is very well loved in comparison. Played every single Forza since the first one, and never had such a bad feeling on day one before, again, FM5 feels like a GOTY in comparison. I defended Forza when it was fair to do so, but this doesn't deserve that, I can't believe the team looked at this and thought 'yeah, fans will love that, release it!' Sad thing is I wasn't expecting a revolution here, just FM7 as a foundation, with better physics (I do have to say they are really great, not everything is bad) but this feels like FM5, but worse in every way.

Yeah.Total 325 cars.Turn 10 was hurry made this Forza Motorsport.

That is true, it was rushed to meet the release window of the Xbox One in 2013, so they had the same amount of time to create it as the previous titles (2 years) and even though the amount of cut content was not much justified (many returning cars were brought straight from FM4, both good and bad models) the visuals were amazing, the new engine allowed finally for open-wheeled cars among others...

I remember it as a very enjoyable game despite the cut content, as compared to FM 2023...this feels like a GOTY in comparison. This was way more solid, stable and well done from the first second, with FM 2023 they had way more development time and well...let's just say they have tons of work ahead.

I was betting an arm they would simply slip the Forzalopnik 1992 Sentra SE-R and call it a day...glad they did the right thing...2 years later.

How this car wasn't included since the beginning, is beyond me.

At least they brought back the '17 Zagato from FH4...top priorities at least personally would be the '77 Vantage and DB7 Zagato among others, including the Rapide, and let's not forget the One-77, which somehow didn't make the cut, plenty of missing cars to choose from.

The real reason it was undrivable is FM4's game engine not being able to cope with open-wheeled suspensions such as this one (the 8 Litre falls into the same issue, since most of the mechanics underneath can easibly be seen) that's why starting with FM5, which had a brand new engine capable of that, with these 2 cars being finally drivable.

I think the name was meant to invoke the voyage's place from Part III of Gulliver's Travels, a book written in 1726 by the Anglo-Irish writer Jonathan Swift.

Think about it, that word existed longer before the profanity.

Well, according to the article, Jonathan Swift was fluent in Spanish so he might or might not done it on purpose. Is still a long shot, but anyway, doesn't really matter what came first, the name is still a golden spot in the bad-sounding Spanish words, along with the Mitsubishi Pajero and the Nissan Moco, so name a few.

Until the final list is revealed and/or any sight of any Italian Stellantis cars are seen (besides Maserati) they are gone. They were absent in FH5 for not disclosed reasons, and it seems the trend is sadly carrying on...

Funny how one of the biggest names/franchises in car games have to deal with this in every game...starting with Forza Motorsport 4 licensing has always being a Russian roulette for Forza games (Porsche, Toyota, VW, Mitsubishi, Alfa Romeo/Lancia/Fiat/Abarth...by the time a license is brought back, another one is lost)

Calm down, no need to call people names specially when the edit isn't that far off:

www.imcdb.org/vehicle_486583-Mercedes-Benz-200-T-S124-1988.html

I will say specifying this is a 200 T is maybe a bit too much since I can't see proof of that in the pics alone, but a 200 T did exist on this gen, and BTW, the wagon version of a W124 is a S124, so that's 100% correct by all means here and there was no need to specify that in your comment, unless you didn't know about it, which would be ironic considering you are calling others not car-pros.

That's the trying part of it, many cars have very specific differences so it's all about finding out where to make the cut, in this case, it's quite clear for example.

What was the point of point of updating all this and the F-Type pages?

The point? Well, check the changes. I'm trying to standardize car naming across IGCD and IMCDB, we have a big problem with what's put under extra info and the main name, sometimes something is considered part of the main name for a car, and sometimes it's put under extra info as if was a simple trim level, so some steps should start to happen to make it clear.

With 235 cars, Ford has been finally added, being the maker with most cars on its roster (between Americans, Europeans, Aussies, Concepts, Racecars...it was to be expected) and also means that with 1433 current cars, Top Drives is now the #1 game with most cars at IGCD, which will only grow until the also current 3400 total car list is reached.

But due to how the game has been growing, and how most (if not all) main competitors to Ferrari are already in-game (Porsche, Lamborghini, Pagani, Koenigsegg...) I wouldn't be surprised if it arrives sooner than later.

Ok, time to recap to avoid answering the same questions over and over.

1-This game will NOT be deleted in the foreseeable future unless any actual issues happen.
2-First thing to be done was a quick discuss among admins, and most at the very least didn't mind the game being re-listed, so again, unless there is a clear demand for the game to be taken down, it will stay.
3-The main reasons for a take down would be copyright issues, but for the 4th time, EVERY picture and EVERY car shown here is properly licensed, the car to the manufacturer and the picture to the right holder of EVO magazine, it wasn't one guy lurking around Google pics looking for the first pic available.
4-I wouldn't be wasting my time uploading 3400 pics if I knew it was going to be gone, again, I can't speak for other games in particular, but as for TD right now, it should be safe for the long run.
5-One of the biggest reasons to re-add the game, legal reasons and admin opinions put first aside, is again, the sheer number of licensed cars. Yes, they are represented by real life pictures, but as it was also said, some will never seen in a game again, and I think it's a shame not having a game like this listed on IGCD, it just makes sense.

Hey, if I recall correctly, there was a game called "Ondarun" or something like that, and in that game that was like a card game of some sorts, had a very similar car line up to ths game, and was never finished here in IGCD. Eventually the game vanished, and I have to ask, does that game that I just mentioned and this one was the same?

If I recall correctly, that was on the thin line way more than this.

First of all, it was a browser game, which is not a problem by itself, just a 'step' lower, so just based on that could be listed, but the big issue was licensing, I'm sure both the cars and the pics weren't actually properly licensed, so I don't think a return can be done unless proof of actual licensing for both things can be provided.
