IGCD Future releases and to-do list (2023) | Alright, thanks.
IGCD Future releases and to-do list (2023) | Ah, thank you. I have been inactive for the last two years or so, only came back like two days ago. Tbh, seeing some of my older comments I can't help but feel disgusted of myself. Not just on this site, also other platforms. I was just kind of an opinionated hater, not to mention all of the uncalled for shitposting. BTW my Discord username is Karjola, it seems I was kicked because nobody recognized me or something. -- Last edit: 2020-05-28 15:40:52
IGCD Future releases and to-do list (2023) | Hey, sorry for getting off-topic, but didn't this site have a Discord server at some point? I always thought a place for conversation would be a nice thing here.
Mafia: Definitive Edition (2020) | This was a very nice surprise, really looking forward to this. I love the Mafia series.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered (2020) | This looks kinda neat, I really like some of the car redesigns.
This car is FWD for some reason. What were they thinking?
I recently installed TDU 2 with the Unofficial Patch 0.4 - There is a Mustang V6 Premium next to this one in the showroom. Just to be sure, it did not come with the vanilla game, did it?
Hey, look! Somebody fixed it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgnzXzW0PFI
Guess you could say this car received... God feet. Not sure how many will get that reference.
I bet there will be someone crazy enough to mod this into a drivable vehicle.
This has a 6 speed gearbox? I mean, electric motors lose power at higher speeds (similar to combustion engines) and a single gear ratio is a compromise - it can be optimized only for low or high speed driving. But really, while they run out of puff, they still have an extremely wide powerband. Surely, a 2- or 3-speed transmission would be more sensible, wouldn't it? Less complexity, cost and weight. -- Last edit: 2018-05-19 14:00:35
*Japanese voice* ...HAYAI! -- Last edit: 2018-03-25 20:08:47
Agree - Reminds me of what a 2018/19 Viper would look like if it was updated.
I wan' Sosa's head on a fuckin' platta, mang!
Since this is a real life picture, would it be possible to find the original picture and identify it that way?
This sort of reminds me of an Eagle Premier.
I get what you're saying, about setting new benchmarks. If you are interested in pushing limits of what is considered possible, it definitely is amazing what can be achieved. Admittedly, if I got to drive one of those high-performance supercars on a race track or the German autobahn, where they belong, I would probably start to appreciate them a bit. -- Last edit: 2018-01-26 17:45:25
I think it's not really about it being easy to drive as it is about sacrificing enjoyment for performance figures on a piece of paper. Dual-clutch gearboxes are faster than manuals, absolutely. But many believe manuals to be more visceral, for example. High-performance cars are also said to be boring to drive on normal roads, not everyone lives near a track or the German autobahn. They should really stop chasing some stupid performance figures on paper and make a car that is actually fun to drive without breaking the law. Make a mid-engined sports car, enough power to be quick yet still tame. A V6 with around 250 hp should be perfect, don't even think of coupling that to anything but a manual. No computers adjusting your inputs or anything. Just a steering wheel, three pedals, and a gear stick. >Lotus Evora. Never mind, keep making your 300 mph Xboxes, everybody. What I'm asking for already exists. -- Last edit: 2018-01-26 17:46:22
For racecars and top-performance supercars, that sort of makes sense, maybe. I was talking more about regular, every-day cars. Having a car that's refusing to start because the air conditioning broke would be a bit displeasing. As for supercars, the thought of operating what is essentially a PlayStation on wheels is not appealing to me at all. I could not care less about how fast it is or whether it has a Lamborghini badge. Even in a "bland" and "boring" car made for the Harold Slavinskis of the world I want to be the one that's driving it, not suggesting what it should do. But meh, the car industry won't fix itself overnight, nor will people's attitudes. Even the MX-5, which I consider to be one of the only modern cars I'd own, is full of electronic crap that hardly anyone needs or uses. However, it has so many redeeming features that I can just ignore all of that. Not being a FWD "crossover"/"SUV" is a massive redeeming feature, to start off. -- Last edit: 2018-01-25 22:11:59
I assume you mean appliances like TVs, computers, stoves etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a technophobe who preaches about how technology and progress are evil. Quite the opposite, actually. I fully support both of them, if they are useful. Things like electronic fuel injection, electronically controlled automatic gearboxes, ABS, etc. are great, they are objectively better and more efficient than their predecessors. But why the hell do we need little computers, which are connected to each other, controlling everything? Why the hell do we need an iPad with a clunky system nailed to the dash, to have full connection to the brakes? Heck, around 90 % of the people who have those "infotainment systems" still use their iPhone to navigate and make calls. What's the point, what was wrong with exchangeable single- or double-din head units? Everything car buyers want from a radio is that it can play local radio stations and be able to connect to their smartphone to play music. Take this particular radio for example tinyurl.com/y9kgsbzh It does everything I mentioned, doesn't look like a freaking spaceship (as do pretty much all other head units) and it costs less than 200 €. It also has a CD slot, so you can still listen to your old Avril Lavigne album you bought at Hot Topic back in 2003. The following are all car components which (should in theory) require a module/computer: Engine (modern fuel injection and VVT/VVL), automatic transmission, ABS/ESP, Airbags and air conditioning. The only two of those that need to be connected to each other are the engine and automatic transmission. -- Last edit: 2018-01-25 18:58:44
Does that mean the gas turbine drives a generator, which powers two electric motors - one for each axle? -- Last edit: 2018-01-22 15:54:48
Meh, with all the electronic crap they put in cars today, it doesn't take long before it's outdated. -- Last edit: 2018-01-16 16:02:52

I really can't wait until he updates the mod to include the Sentinel Classic and 190z. The 190z is just begging to be turned into the Devil Z from Wangan Midnight, just look at it.
That's what I'm saying, it's made for the MrBossFTWs of the world.
After you get Fleetari to adjust the valve and carb tune, it has adequate performance, handles nicely and is generally very fun to drive. This car is probably the best in the game. Just keep an eye on the water pump, head gasket and alternator as these are very prone to failing. I just use MSCeditor to adjust their condition. ...inb4 ToplessGun updates the game, making it not only horrible to drive, but also break down before you even get to the main road. -- Last edit: 2017-12-23 10:58:50
www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFlt7Rxwzjw I overall prefer the handling in IV. Even though the suspension is spongey, it looks much more natural and lets you feel the weight better, as you say. Also, certain cars had ABS while others didn't, which also made you pay more attention when braking. V on the other hand has been tuned to be more forgiving and easier. All the cars have ABS, even the Z Type, which originates from what, the 1930s? This may make the game more enjoyable to the MrBossFTWs of the world, but to me, it really doesn't. My advice is, if you're on PC and love cars and driving, by all means get that Realistic Driving V mod by Killatomate along with IKT's manual transmission. There's also one for IV, though unfortunately, since Patch 8 there's no way to use MemBiter's manual transmission. You could downgrade to Patch 7, but then you have to do all kinds of hacking about just to be able to change your graphics settings and resolution, which is why I never felt like doing it. Still, It really changes the whole driving experience, it may even be on-par with games like Forza and Gran Turismo. -- Last edit: 2017-12-21 14:42:17
Akuma no Zetto. What a lovely looking car. -- Last edit: 2017-12-21 14:10:28
Not that I really remember as I haven't played with the vanilla handling since buying GTA V on PC. Realistic Driving V is love, Realistic Driving V is life. -- Last edit: 2017-12-21 10:55:15
All cars in GTA V handle the same. You can blast down any tight or twisty road doing 110. Km/h or mph, whichever you prefer, there's so much grip that you can take a corner doing either speeds. And let's not forget the braking - Should you even need to slow down for a corner, you can just release the throttle as the brakes are so overpowered that they become reduntant for anything but emergency stops.
...and because the radio is always set to Bounce FM.
While we're at it, let's unban that hungarian kid. The site's been so boring this past year. (I'm joking. Do not make a diss track about me.) -- Last edit: 2017-11-28 20:10:55

You're probably thinking of the GAZ M13 Chaika: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAZ_Chaika Curiously enough, the styling was inspired by Packard models of the same era and the powertrain was a very close copy to a Packard's, too. -- Last edit: 2017-11-25 11:16:06

A little tweak to the handling.dat fixes that problem easily
My bad, rebadged GM vehicles then. Do you think the so called "Astrommodore" would be successful? I mean, sure, it'd only be there to cater to the niche driving enthusiast market, but so is the Mazda MX-5, which is the best selling roadster in the world and has been produced for almost 30 years. -- Last edit: 2017-09-30 11:26:23
This looks like a car you'd find in a Sims game. MFG in my opinion.
It still saddens me to think both the Commodore and Falcon have been taken out of production. Ford Australia is gone while Holden will exclusively sell rebadged Opels. People have fallen out of love for sedans, especially 5-meter, two-ton behemoths of which the most economical engine is a V6. Although the Falcon got a 2.0 EcoBoost in it's final model years, but still. I wonder, what if they made a smaller, lighter and cheaper version? It'd be the same size as an Astra and it would use the same engine lineup, including the diesels, just mounted longitudinally. Just imagine an OPC version. Add a ute version without fancy gizmos, put in one of the forementioned diesel engines and you've got an economical workhorse. The demand for these types of trucks is very high, but nobody's supplying. Probably because of the infamous US chicken tax. Regardless, market it as an affordable sports sedan and have a team of specialists tune the suspension to make it a blast to drive without even exceeding the speed limit. It'd be a much more practical alternative to an MX-5 and a cheaper one compared to a BMW. Though, to burst my own bubble, most people would still buy "SUVs" and "crossovers" like the horrible Peugeot 3008, but an Astrommodore (excuse the crap name) would be a solid alternative to those containers, wouldn't it? -- Last edit: 2017-09-29 19:49:39
I remembered eventually, yes. It's a nice car, I must admit, but it's still a stupid movie. |
