Personally, I would be okay with the bikes being listed under "Triumph Motorcycles" from the current company name which is "Triumph Motorcycles Ltd", and leave the current "Triumph" make for the defunct car company. |

And we already list brands like "Efini" as their own makes. If those deserve their own makes (which I don't have a problem with for the record), surely two separate companies making two separate products for almost 90 years does? ![]() The thing is that the site isn't programmed to separate brands that share the same name and country, and the only way to do that is renaming one of these brands |
![]() ![]() 2023-04-24 00:45 | Silnev wrote Yes I read your post but the main point is the same. We only separate brands if the vehicles are made in different places. Because otherwise everything is consolidated under the same brand regardless if they're "not related". Anyway I don't see the issue. There are more Triumph bikes than there are cars listed on the site. It's almost 2:1. ![]() ![]() 2023-04-23 20:27 | Silnev wrote Absolutely not. We don't separate brands because they made one thing and now make something else. Like for instance we don't separate Peugeot between when they made sporty cars and terrible cars.... ![]() Did you even read my post? The companies haven't been related to each other in ages. |
