I reckon it's supposed to be a Tiger from the position of the drive sprocket and front armor shape.
Christ that's ugly. Made for game for sure. Calling it a Charger is a BIG stretch.
I'd say more bronco than scout. They are similar, but the grille looks more like a Ford and that body line on the quarter panel isn't just coincidence.
I think it's supposed to be based on 68-69 Plymouth Satellite/Belvedere. The side profile looks right, and it has a 68-70 Mopar B body dash in the game. The grille is kinda like a full size '66 Dodge, but the tail lights are just made up. They look like early 80's cutlass sedan if anything lol
It's a 59 Dodge 100%. Yeah the tail lights and quarters are more like a Chrysler/Desoto but it even has a '59 Dodge dash in the game.
Why do we add MkI, MkII, MkIII etc. for Camaros and Mustangs? I know it's to show the model generation but why only do it for a few cars? Camaros and Firebirds share the same platform, yet I don't see marks for Firebirds? Ditto for Cougars, since they are the same as Mustangs. Why isn't a '67 Charger listed a Charger MkI? or a '69 Charger a MkII? -- Last edit: 2014-10-14 02:28:24

FrankieCheeks75 wrote If you find a convertible Tornado and paint the body bright red and the roof white, it'll look like Christine. Hardly, you'll just have a red and white '57 Chevy/Cadillac hybrid. -- Last edit: 2013-10-23 23:10:02
Attacker1997 wrote Chevrolet Bel Air Not one part. It's a '57 Plymouth body/rear with a Ford front end.
Yes, 1978-79. 77's have smaller tail lights as mentioned here and on the GTA IV page.
The front in GTA IV is '64 Tempest, not Bonneville. In fact, the whole car looks more like '64 Tempest wagon than a Bonneville except for the tail light trim panel. Full size Pontiac's have very pronounced body lines, whereas Tempest's are more slab sided like the Regina IMO. Naming this car a '65 Bonneville is like saying the Manana is a '66-'67 Lincoln just because the tail lights are similar. -- Last edit: 2013-10-14 17:36:42
I still think it's a Bronco with modified tail lights and front end. i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn16/MADDOG3005/1987-Ford-Bronco-lft-red.jpg
The body is all '57 Chevy yes, but that front bumper is '57 Cadillac not '58 Chevy. They just added quad headlights. www.seriouswheels.com/pics-1950-1959/1957-Cadillac-Series-62-Hardtop.jpg -- Last edit: 2013-10-11 02:03:28
I'll agree the tail lights and trim panel are very similar to a Safari, but none of the body lines are there. To be honest I doubt it was modeled after a '73 Plymouth either, but that's what I think it looks most like to me coincidence or not. A case could be made for a '73 Impala as well but again the rear end doesn't match. -- Last edit: 2013-10-11 02:00:00
I think a '73 Plymouth Fury is closest. I don't know who was thinking '65 Pontiac, nothing really looks like one, it doesn't even have stacked headlights. -- Last edit: 2013-10-11 01:16:53
MartinBond wrote Looks like a crossover between a '58 Plymouth Belvedere and a '57 Ford Fairlane. Yes, though I see some 55/56 Ford in the front as well. Even has the wide chrome strips on the roof like a Plymouth. Nothing on this looks 57 Chevy at all to me.
Mad Mike wrote Agreed, also extra info: '440 6 Barrel' Not with that hood.
The scalloped fender/door does look like a GT-R, but the rear looks too tall to be a front engined car. The shape looks more like a mid engine car of some sort.
How many mods are on this site to change vehicle names? I'm just curious, as hardly anything ever seems to get changed. The front of the car in game may confuse some people because it is modeled straight across but this is for sure a '67 Newport.
I've never played the game, so I don't know what the rear looks like but to me it looks like a '74 Pontiac Catalina with the roof lopped off. static.cargurus.com/images/site/2010/01/03/21/53/1974_pontiac_catalina-pic-1982844012874200574.jpeg

100% a '67, not '66. | ||
It's pretty generic, but I agree with '61 Chevy because of the "vee" in the trunk the artist added. It's just got some Cadillac fins tacked on to make it more "50's" IMO. www.autopaedia.com/auta/Cadillac/Cadillac%20Sixty%20Special%20Fleetwood/Cadillac%20Sixty%20Special%20Fleetwood%208th%20generation%201961-1964%20%281961%20sedan%204d%29%20%2801%29%20%5BCA1%5D.jpg

'73-'79 Ford F series with a Chevy-esque grille and funky tail lights.
I don't see it as the Chezoom. It's a mix of a bunch of 50's cars. Body kinda looks like 53-54 Studebaker, front looks like 55 Dodge and rear looks like a 57 buick
The headlight placement looks like a 39-47 Dodge, but the rest doesn't match up. -- Last edit: 2012-06-14 04:38:42

R8. Don't be confused by the rising sun flag, it's just a changeable skin. Probably chosen more for the name "Kamikaze" than for the cars real origin.
People still think this is a cavalier? If you had a shot of the tail lights from the game it's even more obvious it's a Country Squire.
Looks like a '65 Mercury Park Lane or Monterey to me.
Who changed this to Cavalier? It's a LeSabre. Look at the overall car people! Not some minor detail that may or may not look more like a Cavalier.

I agree with R8. | ||
carcrasher88 wrote Cavalier? Looks more like a 6th generation Ford Country Squire body to me. Yes, definitely not a Cavalier.

This is a 1968 Plymouth Suburban for sure. www.imcdb.org/vehicle_19144-Plymouth-Fury-1968.html
It's in International-Harvester S-Series. A Loadstar is similar but has the older rounded off cab that doesn't match the one in the game.
Black Bart wrote Is that supposed me or someone else on this website???? If no one knew about most cars and they are on this website, they would never be on this website. Everyone tries, okay? What, did you just agree with 58Roadmaster becuase he said something about General Motors? But if you are so arrogant and think you know everything about every car in the world, just give it a rest! lol, no it wasn't directed at you. And I certainly don't know every car in the world, especially many Euro cars, and I've made mistakes myself of course. What I mean is MANY don't know how to properly id cars...I've seen many times where a car is called 69 Charger because that's the only muscle car they know, or any 50's car is a 57 Chevy. And even when someone does id a car properly it takes forever for it to be renamed, if it ever does.
takumi wrote 1937 Packard Twelve ? www.imcdb.org/vehicle_235394-Packard-Twelve-Phaeton-1507-1937.html Somewhat...the later Packards have a narrower grille which looks more like the car in the game, but they also have extra grilles on the lower part of the fenders. Either way, it isn't an Auburn. |
