Which is kinda ironic given the last two World Wars France was one of the first to the fray and it was America that was phenominally late |
generalrusty78 photo_librarymode_comment 2018-04-12 01:16 | Is it a truck? Is it a golf cart? Is it a bathtub on wheels? It's whatever you want it to be. The Kalahari is a super-lightweight off-road utility vehicle used by the French army, which possibly explains why they're always so late to everything. |

Just showing the same car with the roof up, in the fore mentioned Kalahari Beige and in the proper '79 - '83 Citroën Méhari 4x4 spec. Rockstar obviously were going to use the original 120° 3-stud pattern but decided to opt out in case Citroën got all litigious about it. However if you look under the ferris wheel you'll find the wheels that were destined for the Méhari powering it. And yes, this is the face lifted Citroën Méhari, and as such not the American spec Méhari (massive round headlights) of 1969-1970. Also it's 4WD which puts it between 1979 and 1983, so it's just as well you can get the spare tyre for the hood and additional bumper bars as that would be factory spec for the Méhari 4x4. |

2014-10-14 12:41 | to remove any doubt, the front design implies it to be a "facelifted" Méhari, produced from 1978 to 1987. Then it clearly can't be the US model, produced only in 1970, and which looks totally different |
XThUnDeRX photo_librarymode_comment 2014-05-10 05:40 | ItsaUserName wrote Interestingly, one of the colour options for the Méhari was "Beige Kalahari". "Beige Kalahari", or "Kalahari Beige Metallic" as it's more commonly known, is actually a colour often seen on German cars, most notably appearing on several different BMW models, the X5 and 5/7 Series being the most notable. It also appeared on a couple of Volkswagens, Porsches, and ofcourse the Citroen Mahari as you mentioned. |

2014-05-09 17:39 | It's got to be a 1970 model year Mehari, because that was the only year the Citroen Mehari was sold in the United States. |

2013-11-19 21:06 | I was thinking about it, but I am not sure if there is enough to classify its as americanized version. R* sometimes doesn't exactly care about version, differences or even countries of the car (vide JDM Honda Odyssey in IV). |

2013-11-19 20:22 | Since the game takes place in the US, would it be a good idea to list this as a 1970, since that was the only year the Méhari was sold in the US? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_M%C3%A9hari#US_import |
