2012-12-28 15:45 | Sunrise = Land of the rising sun? (Japan) It does not look like a SAAB attol. It doesn't sound like one, it doesn't feel like one, it isn't named like one and why would America, out of all places, have a SAAB in a European trim level? Rockstar may be from the UK, but rarely uses creator provincialism, apart from the chav car in IV. And the people that do think it is a SAAB are pretty much the British Leyland Circlejerkers Club, or BLCC for short, that go around making absurd conclusions about cars (remember the "Maestro" from Driv3r? - that's them alright.) Tirade over, it's obviously Japanese. |

Schaefft photo_librarymode_comment 2009-06-14 17:26 | I agree to Bonneville, even modeled one to replace the Sunrise. Its long hood, short trunk and weird placed rear wheel wells makes it a 1991 Bonneville to me. Its a typical american car, it fits into the time of San Andreas so id be very suprised if it isnt one. Heres a picture of it: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/47/90SSE.jpg You cant expect it to be identical but some design elements are way closer to the sunrise than those of a Intrigue or Saab 9000 <.< |

2006-11-01 22:25 | Still, "Sunrise" can also be linked to "Lumina", since lumina also conjures up images of light (e.g luminescent). I don't really feel the car is japanese at all, since its body shape is distinctly similar to cars built on the GM10 platform. Indeed, it looks more like one of those American attempts to sportify their basic sedans with better engines and exterior cladding, kind of like the Ford Taurus SHO or the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP |
