MD Helicopters MD Explorer Double S.T.E.A.L. (2002) | Looks much more like the MD Helicopters MD Explorer
Tatra 603 LowRider Extreme (2010) | Having it as a lowrider isn't that strange, I mean, American cars of similar age and type are a very popular choice for lowriders; so why wouldn't an Eastern European car be as well? Edit: don't get me wrong, I'd also prefer a non-lowrider version in a game, but I don't think the idea of a Tatra 603 lowrider is that far-fetched -- Last edit: 2024-09-24 15:29:51
Lada 2105 Carmageddon: Max Damage (2016) | The ribbed body panels, the fact that it has 2 doors rather than 4, and the general "flat" shape of the bodywork strongly reminds me of the SMZ S3D cyclecar from the USSR, much more than the Lada 2105: Of course The Bear's body is the size of a normal car rather than a cyclecar, and (if I recall correctly, it's been some time since I last played this game) and front-engined rather than rear engined; but I'd still say that the general shape/styling is much closer to the SMZ S3D than the Lada/VAZ 2105. -- Last edit: 2024-09-24 15:33:09
Daewoo Matiz Fumes (2021) | Also not a separate vehicle, but rather a part of the "Bavarius" final boss vehicle, together with an unknown car and a FSO Polonez. It's not visible on the pictures of Bavarius shown on IGCD right now (I assume those are from an older version of the game) but in the current version of the game it's located inside the Bavarius's "mouth". This Matiz's model differs somewhat from the standalone Matiz already listed here as cut content, so I added it as a separate vehicle. -- Last edit: 2024-05-13 23:27:56
unknown Fumes (2021) | Not a separate vehicle (not in the demo at least), but rather a part of the "Bavarius" final boss vehicle, together with a Daewoo Matiz and a FSO Polonez. It's not visible on the pictures of Bavarius shown on IGCD right now (I assume those are from an older version of the game) but in the current version of the game it's located near the top on the left side of it. -- Last edit: 2024-05-07 17:51:16
Ford Model B Offroad Legends (2012) | car mad1 wrote Why can't I find this in game It seems like it might be some sort of special promotional version of the Reaper? The 'normal' Reaper is purple/black with a skull on the sides as can be seen at 7:21 in this Youtube video: youtu.be/qRxVEtZ08r0?t=441, rather than all black with the text "XPERIA" on the sides like this one is. The fact that this one has a banner saying "exclusive" rather than "premium" also makes me think it's probably a promotional reward, looking at the XPERIA text on the sides I'd guess it might have had something to do with the Sony Xperia phone. Maybe you'd get a code to unlock this vehicle in-game if you bought one of those? -- Last edit: 2024-05-13 23:32:03
Magirus-Deutz Merkur Off The Road (2018) | That's what it was identified as in the previous game in which it appeared at least: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=199842
Austin-Healey 3000 Off The Road (2018) | Silnev wrote Small problem, that car you proposed debuted in 2021. 3 years after this game came out. It was indeed added to this game in a later update, like random_username said, however there's still no way it's based of that 2021 car. Reason for this is that this exact same car with only some minor differences also appeared in the 2014 game "Offroad Legends 2" made by the same developers: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=146254 In that game it was immediately available from the beginning rather than being added in a later update, so it can't possibly be based of something newer than 2014. Edit: also, in Offroad Legends 2 it's in the "classics" vehicle class, so that makes me think it's probably supposed to be an actual classic car and not a present-day car with retro styling. -- Last edit: 2024-04-27 22:18:37
Cadillac Seville Monster 4x4: Stunt Racer (2009) | Ryan2t4 wrote more precisely Regina Racer. It's much closer to the normal Regina like @matias13 said; it has the paint job from the Regina Racer of course, but it doesn't have any of its bodywork changes (such as the front splitter, side skirts, hood vents, or spoiler) -- Last edit: 2024-09-13 02:32:16
Ford F-150 Monster 4x4: Stunt Racer (2009) | Boltus from Driver: Parallel Lines, but without the stock bullbar and the plastic bed cover
Ford Mustang Monster 4x4: Stunt Racer (2009) | Ryan2t4 wrote Brooklyn from DPL It looks closer to the Cerrano or maybe the Bonsai, but even then it's nowhere near a 100% match. Seems to me like it's a new model, rather than a re-used one from Driver: Parallel Lines -- Last edit: 2024-04-20 21:33:12
McLaren F1 LM TRAIL OUT (2022) | Daboi492 wrote So it’s a hybrid of Flatout and Burnout? The gameplay is much closer to Flatout (e.g. vehicles have a healthbar, the driving is actually physics-based) than it is to burnout, but in terms of tracks and vehicles I'd say yes.
Ford V-8 FlatOut 4: Total Insanity (2017) | Isn't this based on the same car as the derby class "Preacher" (igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=116365) and the classic class "Blackwood Turbo" (igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=116376), which would then also make it a Duesenberg SJ rather than a Ford V8?
BMW R 1200 GSA Hover Ride Grand Theft Auto V (2013) | > 2017 BMW R 1200 GSA Hover Ride Is it though? I'd be more inclined to say it's made for game, since it doesn't really have that much in common with the BMW other than the fact that they're both flying bikes. -- Last edit: 2024-04-15 21:02:04
Lada 1600 Grand Theft Auto V (2013) | NokoTau wrote It could also be a Fiat 124 Special The car that Lada/ VAZ rebadged and made their own s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images/gallery/FIAT-124-Special-T-2375_19.jpeg I think it's more likely to be the Lada version, considering it's in-game description, the livery options it has (for example Adidas stripes, a vodka sponsorship, or a red star) and the manufacturer brand. (The "Rune" brand in GTA V has 2 other vehicles, the "Zhaba" based of the Ukrainian Sherp ATV, and the "Kosatka", a Soviet cold war era submarine. Based on this it seems safe to assume that the "Rune" brand is supposed to be a mix of manufacturers from the (former) Soviet Union. If this car was supposed to be a Fiat they would've likely given it the "Lampedati" or "Grotti" brand since those are Italian, and Grotti even already has 2 Fiat-based vehicles). -- Last edit: 2024-04-15 21:03:20
Made for Game Off-Road Vehicle Red Faction: Guerrilla (2009) | Mark0 wrote Ingame name Kuroari The in-game name of this vehicle isn't Kuroari; Kuroari is 1 of the 3 big corporations working on Mars in Red Faction Guerilla (Kuroari - red/white, AmRuKuo - yellow/black/brown, Colonial Transit Authority - blue/white). Most civilian vehicles, including this one, are available in 3 different color schemes corresponding to the corporation that owns it. The actual in-game name of this vehicle is never explicitely mentioned, although it's called "MiniHauler" in the game files. -- Last edit: 2024-04-15 21:04:16
McLaren F1 LM TRAIL OUT (2022) | Victor_2003 wrote Unexpected vehicle for a demolition derby/banger racing game. I wouldn't call Trail Out only a demolition derby/banger racing game personally. I mean, it indeed has demo derby game modes, demo derby arenas, and some banger racing-like tracks; but it also has various more open tracks through city centers or mountains which don't fit in with the "banger racing" idea at all. Those tracks are more like something you'd find in a crash-based racing game like Burnout or Asphalt; and those games also have plenty of expensive high-end cars. -- Last edit: 2023-11-05 17:53:03
Dodge W-Series Grand Theft Auto V (2013) | Interestingly enough when it's upgraded with Heavy Armor Plating (static.wikia.nocookie.net/gtawiki/images/2/20/ApocalypseSasquatch-GTAO-HeavyArmor.png/revision/latest?cb=20190328222833) the entire front end ahead of the cab gets replaced with a completely different one. Not sure what vehicle that replacement front end comes from (maybe it's just a custom made part not based of anything in particular), but it doesn't look like the Dodge W-series the stock/light/medium armor version is based on at least. Same thing goes for Nightmare Sasquatch and Future Shock Sasquatch too of course. -- Last edit: 2024-04-15 21:08:46
unknown Bus World (2022) | Toyota Coaster maybe? Or otherwise probably some Chinese brand I've never heard of, considering it's used in the "Southern China" levels in game.
Chevrolet Camaro FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage (2008) | The shape of the rear sides, rear window, C-pillar, door shape, and front bumper shape (except for the headlights of course) look much more like a 2005-2013 Chevrolet Corvette in my opinion; so I'd say that it's inspired by both the Camaro and the Corvette. Strangely none of these details are that way on the Splitter; that one does seem to be exclusively inspired by the 1982-1992 Camaro, which is rather strange, assuming they're supposed to be race class/derby class versions of the same car. -- Last edit: 2024-04-15 21:09:20
Chevrolet El Camino FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage (2008) | Really dislike the re-design this thing got in Flatout Ultimate Carnage compared to Flatout 2. In FO2 it really looked like a racing car (which it should, considering it's in race class), but now in FOUC it just looks like a fairly normal El Camino with a small number written on the side (which looks more at home in street class instead). -- Last edit: 2023-08-06 16:29:12
Ford Shelby GT500 FlatOut 2 (2006) | [quote=Burn Rubber]What the hell is a petrol sponge? O.o And yes, I'm a tree hugger. [quote=Briggs & Stratton]This "sponge" is used to prevent air pockets in the fuel. These air pockets are caused by equipment vibrations and can eventually lead to a condition called vaporlock. When the engine is vaporlocked, it will not be able to start. I'd think it's more meant as a funny term for "car with a high fuel consumption" (as in, it "sucks up" a lot of petrol, similar to how a sponge sucks op a lot of water), considering this plate is on a big V8-powered muscle car. -- Last edit: 2023-08-06 16:23:11
Renault LeCar FlatOut 2 (2006) | LionSpeed wrote I have done some research and found that the LeCar you guys talk about is FWD.However this one here is RWD so it must be for sure a Renault 5 Turbo. The Chili is FWD though, just like the LeCar. The only difference is that the LeCar is front-engine front-wheel-drive (like literally every other FWD car in real life), whereas the Chili is rear-engine front-wheel-drive (which was only done once in real life, on a concept car in the 1930's). But regardless of the nonsensical engine setup it's still FWD in-game. -- Last edit: 2024-04-15 21:11:36
Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Just Cause (2006) | What's that second pic from? Just Cause 1 doesn't have dynamic dirt on vehicles as far as I know, or is that exclusive to the Xbox version?
Bus World (2022) | Most of the Soviet buses also have some modification options like round instead of square headlights (or the other way around), a driver's side door, alternate window frames, an alternate grille, an alternate steering wheel/dashboard, etc. I assume those parts are from a (pre)facelifted/modernized version of it, these don't look like "custom" parts to me at least, so the production years might not be accurate. I don't know enough about USSR buses to say that for sure though. -- Last edit: 2023-07-16 02:29:48
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 FlatOut 2 (2006) | Appears to be a "normal" version of the Nucleon: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=39105, although some details such as the grille shape appear to have been changed at a later point in development. The rear fascia is also completely different, but lore-wise that could be explained as having been changed to fit the jet exhaust. -- Last edit: 2024-04-15 21:14:11
Ford F-250 Carmageddon (1997) | Interestingly the interior is just a recolored version of the Caddy Fat Cat's interior, with the only other change being the monster faces on the speedometer
Just Cause (2006) | Flippedoutkyrii wrote The first game definitely had the greatest selection of classic cars by a mile ^^ Probably because it was originally planned to take place in the 1970's, and it was only decided later to change that to current day (well, 2006 current day :P)
Lada Samara art of rally (2020) | Daboi492 wrote The fact that Russia’s first attempt at rally was for the soon-to-be-but-never-came-to-fruition top class Not entirely true, there was also a rally car based of the Vaz-2105 in 1978, 7 years before this one.
Race Car Dragster Top Fuel Carmageddon (1997) | Despite not being stealworthy, it doesn't re-use the Red Eagle's interior (like all other non-stealworthy cars do); instead it re-uses the "normal" Annihilator's interior. I have uploaded an interior screenshot of it nonetheless, maybe it's just meant to have the same interior as the "normal" Annihilator considering they're both top fuel dragsters.
Fiat 126 Sunset Racer 2 (2009) | Razor440 wrote On the left door of the car, it says, NATO Rules. According to Wikipedia... The North Atlantic Treaty Organization, also called the North Atlantic Alliance, is an intergovernmental military alliance based on the North Atlantic Treaty which was signed on 4 April 1949. Well that made no sense. The mechanic who repairs/modifies your cars in story mode is called Nato, I think it's more likely that this graffiti is a reference to the in-game character than that it's a reference to the real-world military alliance :P -- Last edit: 2022-06-24 00:39:45
