Forza Horizon 5 (2021)
Attacker1997 a écrit

Nobody said that the entire franchise has more players than the others, it was just stated that FH5 is much more played today. Also, the fact that many people complain about the game don't prove that it's less played, many of these comments come from active players who just want improvements

I have heard and know of so many people who abandoned FH5. Steam charts also show it. I highly doubt that FH5 is more played, and if I'm not wrong, I've seen a list of NFS MW having more players than FH5.

That is an incredibly disingenuous argument to make. You are comparing a game franchise that has been limited to a single platform for the majority of it's lifetime to a franchise that has been multiplatform and been around for almost 10 years longer than the other series.

Aren't we all? Currently, both NFS Unbound and FH5 are available on 4 platforms. He says that the Forza franchise has more players than Need For Speed, and I try to prove to him that it really doesn't. Even the other person below agrees that Forza is awful.

Yet the game still has more active players/traffic than both those games, yes updates especially since anniversary have been very bland but you cant expect them to give you a brand new car to the franchise every single week for next 3 to 4 years of updates when they have other things to work on (expansions and next game). NFS has been out for almost 2 months with no updates what so ever and TC2 gets 3-4 cars every 50 days. GT7 got its 1st decent update in December. Relatively speaking to how other racing games are doing now this is not worst out there

Incorrect. According to Autobizz.com, the Need For Speed franchise is ranked at #2 as one of the best selling racing game franchises with 150 million copies. Forza is ranked at #6 with only 16 million copies. Your view is really wrong.

More active traffic? Sir, there's a very little amount of traffic vehicles on the roads in FH5. Yes, NFS Unbound could use more modern traffic vehicles, but at least they are common around on the streets. I think you are also missing the point. What we mean is harder progression to earn better vehicles, since it's very lackluster to play Forza Horzion for less than 3 hours and somehow earn 50 cars. I understand that updates take time, but there have been an abhorrent amount of bugs in the game for so long, and not 1 developer at Playground Games really bothered to fix it.

Where did you get your information from that the current NFS game isn't being updated? EA announced that there will be new/refreshed updates after January. There are by far, many advantages NFS has over Forza such as better maps, graphics, customization, police chases, storylines. The list goes on and on. What are the advantages Forza has? Only more vehicles, and the handling of some cars, but that's about it. Forza Horizon is simply a locked-down game with almost no freedom for anything. I couldn't last more than a week into FH5, I know some people who couldn't bother with Forza either. Finally, let's debunk how Forza is supposed to be a ''Realistic driving experience'' but then they proceed to add DLCs such as Lego? Why? It breaks the immersion in the game, which deters more people from buying it.

Forza Horzion could be better if the developers actually listened to their players and took the time out to transform their game. Lazy development is the obvious sign here. Asphalt is also mediocre nonsense that I will never play ever again. Both games are terrible. Some of us go for games where we want a lot of action, others go for games where they only want to drive normally. Forza is lagging and is falling behind, it's clearly obvious, and in all honesty, this has to be the most hated game not only throughout the Forza Horizon series, but also the entire Forza franchise. Forza Horizon 1 was boring, but it has a little more compared to the current one. Again, Forza doesn't adapt to the ideas of their player base and go ahead to change that. This is why people cannot bother with Forza and then switch to NFS. Nobody would ever quit a NFS game and switch to Forza and then find it better. You can go ahead and view the complaints of both Unbound and FH5, FH5 has more. EA has more common sense.

I can write far more than this, but if you want to go ahead, then go ahead. I will be on this site later and see what happens.

Yes, that`s true, the biggest turn off in this game, is the very bland Mexican setting, and that some of the most beloved makes like Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Abarth are not in the game, due to deranged tree huggers in Italy banning them from Forza due to emission bugs, + the fact that the updates only bring cars featured in the earlier games.
No wonder 6 highly ranked staff members just left Playground Games for other projects, i am starting to have doubts that we will see an FH6 after this failure, not to mention all the thousands of bugs still present in the game.

It is severely shocking. No wonder this game has lost 75% of it’s players after a few months of being released. The lack of progression and hard work is clearly the reason why Forza games are so horribly disliked. Can we also talk about how shitty the DLCs are? I can tell you that this is another driving game franchise that will be left by the wayside and will soon be forgotten. Why not Switzerland or Japan? They had to put Mexico in the game, worse case scenario is that it may be a very big map, but majority of it consists of only deserted land, it feels lifeless. NFS and even The Crew manage to strive while Playground games is lately struggling to place patches onto the game. Ridiculous!

Forza has a very lackluster progression system into getting better cars, you don't pass 3 hours in the game and for some reason, you have 50 cars or more. Not to mention how bland the maps are and the horrendous DLCs that usually get added, which deters many people from even playing the latest Forza Horizon game. If you don't have a problem with Forza, ok, that has nothing to do with me, but it's clear to a huge amount of people that Need For Speed is the better choice.

It's always a pleasant surprise when SCS adds an AI vehicle just for fun, without any other use (in recent years, SCS have added only cars which were like police cars for upcoming DLCs etc., especially in ETS2). And more modern cars are definitely necessary for both games.

Agreed, such a shame that you can only get more traffic vehicles with mods.

Then, we've got Peugeot in Underground.

Yes. No lie, too bad Renault and other French brands have left the US market, but why not an older model that's actually been in America? Correlating to real life, you can use classic Peugeot, Renault and Citroen models, but US laws state that these vehicles must be decades old to be driven around here. I've recently been noticing that NFS games nowadays have been slowly declining in some automakers. No Lexus, no Toyota, no Maserati, no Audi, etc. This is affecting other driving games that are somewhat associated with street racing.

It's still claimed as a sedan by Tesla itself and automobile websites, so it's not true that the Model S isn't a sedan considering that liftbacks can also be classified as sedans, especially since both the Model S and Model 3 fall under this category.

I know that, it's only odd as to how the traffic vehicles in Unbound included with Palm City license plates are parked and not driving around the map. I understand that different license plates in different places are a thing, but it is way to common here.
BMW 3

Need for Speed: Unbound (2022)
I don’t understand why Need For Speed games nowadays still barely have any modern/new traffic vehicles. This BMW is clearly a century old. I highly doubt that it’s a possibility seeing anyone around in Chicago that much. Why don’t they put a Chevrolet Volt and Ford Focus hatchback as AI vehicles? Even a Camry would be necessary.
