Forza Motorsport (2023)
Okay, so as far as I am concerned, this is likely not confirmed to be DLC, if anything, it probably won't end up on the car pass (which will only be a car a month iirc). The Forza reboot's rollout updates are monthly, which means free cars or tracks, and that will vary each month in the coming weeks and years of support. So hopefully we will see this beauty in a free update, considering FH5 has it as a Playlist reward four months ago.

Since T10 now has gotten past the slump of releasing games every few years now, the era of live service does have some good merits. Yes there will be paid DLC in the form of car pass vehicles. But we don't know which ones so it's all a guessing game to me.

Here's the updated car list (and no, the 935 is not on the list): forza.net/news/forza-motorsport-car-list

We'll keep you posted on where the car's status will end up.

It's not "weird", its licensing. Use your research and google up licensing....

Ever heard of it?
Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012)
Because it's wrong. We know it's a model year 2012, and someone "randomly" changed it for no reason.

Do not change it back to 2013.

Saints Row (2022)
www.gameinformer.com/2023/08/31/saints-row-developer-volition-games-has-been-shut-down

Volition is gone. Thanks to Embracer Group's major restructuring plan, the 30-year-old developer from Champaign, IL has become a victim of its own failure. This source comes via X/Twitter reporting that many of its employees were let go and the company would be no more.

Here is what their farewell message says, word for word. You can read about it on the game dev's page:

"The Volition team has proudly created world-class entertainment for fans around the globe for 30 years. We've been driven by a passion for our community and always worked to deliver joy, surprise, and delight.

"This past June, Embracer Group announced a restructuring program to strengthen Embracer and maintain its position as a leader in the video game industry. As part of that program, they evaluated strategic and operational goals and made the difficult decision to close Volition effective immediately.

"To help our team, we are working to provide job assistance and help smooth the transition for our Volition family members. We thank our customers and fans around the world for all the love and support over the years. You will always be in our hearts."

- Volition Games

The cause of this is due to Swedish holdings group Embracer Group's disasterous $2 billion deal with Savvy Games Group (as Silnev mentioned before). The Saudi organization had withdrawn the sale in May, and Volition - who started off as Parallax Software - became one of the first casualties.

Christ. This beloved series is now dead on arrival, and I've said this before that this shit happened because of this broken reboot. I have the evidence. And now, the open-world action game is now bereft of another venerable franchise.

What are your thoughts now that Volition is buried and dead?

I think Silnev may have made the suggestion of it being a 1960s Pontiac.

Definitely going to agree on what Egon said before, it's a Zastava.
Opel Insignia

This is actually a liftback since its shorter compared to a sedan model and the thicker lines on the grille suggest the pre-facelift model from 2009.

This is not strictly true, as Forza Horizon 5 has Street Scene, albeit not an illegal one since there are no cops in that game. And they actually have Toyotas.

So no, that assumption has been debunked many times
Chevrolet Camaro

Naniwa Wangan Battle (1998)
Wonder what this one's about. Also this has Z28 wheels and is actually a convertible, as this has the ragtop and the extended trunk (coupe models have a liftgated trunk iirc).

Weird decision to be removed TBH. They could have just retained it or I assume a reworked version of it is being made so they decided to remove it in anticipation of a reworked version of this model.

See, that what I was thinkin' as well. What they could've done was to slot the reworked version as a separate file. What they actually did was overwrite its existing filename.

Even if they did rework the model, it still wouldn't make much of a difference, because SCS replaced this outdated model with... this thing.

Which would be a proper new Fabia model, if it wasn't so horribly molested. I've called out SCS for making abnormal models lately.

The thing is, this car is still appearing in recent blogposts. Maybe it's temporarily removed? The awful-looking Golf still remains after 48 major updates, and I'm honestly not surprised why SCS can't shake in a new Golf or two.

If you wondered where the new Forza Motorsport game got its graphics engine from? Here is your answer, gameplay looks almost identical and graphics wise, there is no difference actually

What are you talking about? These games are completely different IPs and devs. Your comment really comes off as hyperbolic, as this game is nothing like the Forza Motorsport reboot. 🤦‍♂️

Need for Speed: Unbound (2022)
How 'bout a Tesla Model S Plaid? Got good acceleration.

Need for Speed: Unbound (2022)
In an ideal world all kinds of vehicles would be feasible in a game like NFS. The Infiniti G35 (which is also in FM7 for your info), and the Escalade (which also has a baller V performance model) would be cool additions.

But at the end of the day, it's all determined by the one dreadful word that simply won't get answers.

Licensing.

That is why we don't always get what we want. Many manufacturers have always got by with a code known as a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA. Many developers have to know the rules about licensing a car in a major game like Unbound or FH5/FM reboot. They also have to acknowledge that each car is licensed individually and that licenses always run out. There is no "magic wand that makes cars appear" or any form of fairydust or whatever euphemism you want to use. So many devs have to use checkbooks to brands to get whatever deals that benefit both the manufacturer and the game developer.
Krasnoye-Sormovo Vandal

Transport Fever 2 (2019)
I'm not sure why this got changed to Krasnoye-Sormovo considering that name probably didn't exist until after the Russian Revolution, if memory serves me right.

They aren't going to allow a playable Yukon or any NPC car since they won't fit the game.

You don't even know if that's true at all. You're only saying that so you think you sound smarter when in reality, EA only put those cars out because of licensing agreements.

This discussion is completely pointless since it has nothing to do with the game, nor any of it is a one-way suggestion box for EA or Ghost Games.

I hate having to stop discussions like these, because they encourage nothing except pointless banter. Cut it out. Please.

It was cut off GTA Online's sales because literally nobody bought this low-end sedan. Did you honestly think it happened for no reason??

Need for Speed: Unbound (2022)
Oh, good luck with that preposterous "discussion". This discussion is over.

Licensing dictates what's allowed to be represented in video games. That has not changed and will never change. If the devs don't want to take risks to make SUVs playable, then they will not do so. It is simple as that. Also you clearly ignored my comment referring you to Forza as that franchise has plenty of utility vehicles.

Why are we relitigating about vehicle choices when the majority of the suggestions and feedback regarding vehicles don't resonate well with EA?

Also all devs have to abide by NDAs so asking them for specific cars will hurt in the long run. Think about it. If something new has been added then so be it. Maybe they'll add new cars that are right up your street like regular SUVs and low-end pickup trucks - which Forza has, many times. FH5 has an '86 F-150 and a C-10. What's your point?

Need for Speed: Unbound (2022)
Vxctec wrote
That would ruin the game. EA allows the player to use vehicles that only fit the racing genre.

You're lyin'. There's a handful of larger vehicles in this game, so someone hasn't done their research, hint hint.

Furthermore, please refer to Forza Horizon 5 which has plenty of larger SUVs and trucks, including a F-450 Super Duty truck.

Yeah I can see where you're comin' from. However we can't do anything about it because SCS made these cars. I did request this model, but only because ETS2 is lacking in modern cars.

I hope we see more new AI cars that aren't crap Chinese bootlegs, though. Gettin' tired of that crap.

Need for Speed: Heat (2019)
It's licensing that dictates what's allowed for cars to be drivable. Just pointin' that out. It would be unkind to GM to allow one of their subsidiaries to have their cars modified.

That's the reason why some cars are best kept as traffic cars.
Nissan Leaf

Need for Speed: Unbound (2022)
This new generation of Leaf just ain't appealing. No offense it looks like a glorified EV Micra, just sold to the masses.

In other words, it's not particularly attractive. And there's no civi model either, so why did EA not pay the rights to use two Leafs?
