By the way, did you know this livery was penned by a concept art team at SCS? Last April there was this Under the Hood article detailing the concept art saga.

It's not bad in layman's terms. This was penned by Vaughn Gittin, Junior. And he was with RTR so this tracks.

And the unlockable really fits with the Drift Club gamut, so naturally anything Forumla Drift and RTR go hand-in hand with the story that arrived on Series 6.

Hopefully we get a production model proper soon.

SSX (2012)
Some would say that the 2012 reboot of the SSX game would be a black sheep game, as would GTA IV would attest. And it would. First revealed at the Spike VGA in 2010 under the working title of "SSX: Deadly Descents", this entry (which would be the last) was meant to be a darker take of the snowboarding sport. Now, cast your mind back to February 28th, 2012. The game had been released to store shelves and EA thought this would also be a hit, considering the high-profile first-person shooter, Battlefield 3 had going for, and given EA Sports' decent reputation at a time when the Madden and FIFA games weren't so reliant on microtransactions, SSX '12 would've been the "it" game for snowboarders. Despite decent reviews it was a commercial failure and how and why nobody seems to talk about this underrated game is a mystery to me. But in regards to that franchise, it's been moribund since then - hence why Steep came into the picture.

What set SSX 2012 apart? An edgier take, with traces of Burnout names. The advent of new items like oxygen masks and wingsuits. A full roster of characters. Globetrotting the snow-capped mountaintops of the real world. And a largely forgettable soundtrack.

More than a decade has elapsed since then and the reason why it wasn't added was because there were no cars. You have a helicopter that follows you around every stage, noting your performances. Much as to say "where my heart races, my Buick follows". (Peggy Hill's line from King of the Hill episode 'The Son That Got Away')

Until now.

Is the game worth it? Yes. Shame about the franchise though, as it was the last one before it was lost in the wind. This entry is relatively easy by comparison.
Mercedes-Benz S 600

PRINCE = Perhaps the reference of the car manufacturer for dictators of the world?

Considering Mercedes-Benz and their large sedans were practical use for evil dictators, it would make sense why the S-Class would be one of those.
Ford Mustang

Midnight Club: Los Angeles (2008)
The color is the very Mustang convertible from CSI: Miami! I know this because it was driven by a group of college kids in that one episode (Felony Flight) where they were killed by a plane-crashed convict.

And the license plate proves this, well sort of. Don't believe me?

one of their worst recent traffic models.... how dissapointing

Yeah, I keep telling you this is a waste of 10mb of space. For ATS, which it was first introduced, it wasn't any problem at all. Large SUVs were popular in the U.S., and the GLS was brought there to cash in the artistic trend. That or somebody requested it.

I did not see anyone (and I mean ANYONE) request this to be included in ETS2. It was NEVER in any WIP pics for ETS2. And all of the sudden, the 1.45 open beta (which this was added promptly) features this car. I mean what good does a $125K luxury SUV would do in Europe?? I just want a T-Roc, or some unique mini-SUV, not this overpriced, three-row luxury SUV hastily ported off ATS.

Worse still is how frequent this spawns, and just like previous additions this spawns in all available countries. Even in sparsely-rich areas like Poland or Latvia, to name a few. The worst offense is this even spawns in the U.K., which no GLS as far as I know was even sold there, nor was made RHD.

Hell I even threw up a spreadsheet (which I doubt they'll see and take suggestions of) for future AI cars, discounting the regional ones.

And if you're wondering, new AI vehicles were used to promote the theme of the country/region. This is NOT one of those vehicles. This is CLEARLY a rip of the ATS asset and given different rims and improper license plate alignment.

I have criticized about this addition on the Steam forums for 1.45 and well I wasn't alone on this. Kinda sad this has fallen since we barely get any new AI cars. Where is the new 208? Why are we not getting modern EVs? What's the deal?

Just my 2 cents.

Trucks & Trailers (2011)
Nice work so far.

So a few questions regarding this game:
-Is this like a precursor to ETS2? Judging by the trucks being represented and the company brands/AI cars being included it kinda looks (and feels) like a beta version.
-Are any of the trucks (barring the obviously-licensed Scania R) sporting any fictional names/surnames?
-How much of Western Europe (or any thereof) does it cover? (just asking in regards of Tracks/places)

Nice work so far. Do you plan on updating other old SCS games?
There are plenty:
-Euro Truck Simulator (the 2008 one, not the long-term sequel game)
-Trucks & Trailers (basically a starting point for ETS2)
-The old 18 WoS games (excluding American Long Haul as I did this one)

That's if they're still purchasable or how you're able to get ahold of them.

You cut out dead space by simply cropping them out, and leaving just the car. I use GIMP.
And honestly, I'd let the actual contributor do the ingame shots but I doubt it.

You aren't even the contributor for this game so I'd rather you just leave them alone. Even though menu/garage shots are not interesting in my honest opinion.

The Crew (2014)
Look, Auto-Friki, I appreciate your idea of having ingame pics rather than the garage but your shots are not good. At all.

As it is quality pics are important and frankly your shots are showing too much space and not enough car. And for games with a photomode, it's more about showing the car itself. Not the decoration, per se.

Transport Fever 2 (2019)
Did some research and this model didn't exist until the 70s. It's best if it was listed as a F8 in its place. With those lights they're from 1972.

And if you're wondering why it's boxy-looking compared to IRL MAN F8s, it is most likely a handmade asset from Urban Games, hence why it looks duct-taped and cobbled together.

Ah, Leslie Benzies. I miss the old days of GTA where he was heavily involved.
Nowadays GTA Online has pretty much soured whatever good GTA V had going.

And as for that jet I think it's a Model 45 version of the Learjet.
Jeep Renegade

Euro Truck Simulator 2 (2012)
I want this vehicle to make the jump from ETS2 to ATS. The Renegade is quite popular here in the States, too! And I did request this as the permanent replacement to the Ford S-Max in ATS.

And by the way the current model doesn't have any badging anymore. Guess SCS took 'em off because of copyright fears.

Chevrolet Suburban

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (2006)
It looks like it was built in some guy's basement and cobbled together used SUVs.
American Locomotive Company Big Boy

American Truck Simulator (2016)
I can't get a rear shot of this because there is no accessible road to get a closer look, and the camera has limits. So this had to do. Unless if there's another copy of this somewhere outside of Cheyenne, that will be the case for now.

About this beastly steam locomotive: I think this is the 4-8-8-4 Big Boy (manufactured by ALCO) heritage model that Union Pacific uses, though here in the ATS universe it's American Lines.

Transport Fever 2 (2019)

Cadillac Escalade

American Truck Simulator (2016)
I had to remove them. I'll replace them later, but it will be awhile before I do so.

And Silnev, I'm not doing any of Twilight Sparkplug's or Rush's entries. Not even the four playable trucks Twilight posted.

And look, ATS is, in laymen's terms, a live-service game, and as such there are times where old assets like this have been given subtle updates. By 1.40 a new lighting effect was added which made both ETS2 and ATS beautiful.
ETS2 alone has 45 major game updates. ATS, about 20-ish as it was launched only six years ago.

Hell, even updates have made older DirectX devices useless. 1.36 makes that case and in the near future our current DirectX will probably be obsolete.

Speaking of, has anybody seen activity from RushCars? He hasn't been active in what, 5 months?

I'll send new replacement pics of the XC90 as well.

Transport Fever 2 (2019)
I don't know anything about these types of locomotives (Especially those of Euro origin), so you'll have to forgive me about it.

So anyway this particular electric loco is often called 'Crocodile' or 'Krokodil' due to its design and green color. It was used for cargo rail routes throughout Switzerland.

About the names: Most of them do, but they don't credit the manufacturer who makes these trains.
