Actually both Cupras will be added to the Autoshow after this series. This model will cost you about 75,000 credits. Tavascan will set you back about 50k.

Absolutely, yes. Along with the Bronco Badlands.

No, this was the purported Forza Edition which didn't make it to this game. In fact it was removed from the Horizon Promo a few patches ago.

So, no, this FE model isn't in. Normal version here: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=250513

Tesla Model Y

I wonder why we don't get such models in ATS.

I don't get it either, but maybe they'll add it to ATS as it's popular stateside. Just like the Renegade.

Vxctec wrote
...majority of the AI vehicles in American Truck Simulator are far too old/rare for US roads.

Yes, sort of. We have a 2020 Outback, alongside the '20 GLS (which should've been ATS only). But ATS needs a large infusion of old and new cars sold in the U.S.

Vxctec wrote
The fact that they have a current generation Tesla while ATS still uses the oldest Model S speaks out.

Not so much, considering the developer makes both of these trucking sims. A newer Model S, X or a Model 3 should be easy to model, if that's the case. But I prefer other EVs like the Mustang Mach-E and the Jaguar I-Pace.

Vxctec wrote
I don't think that SCS properly knows what traffic in America looks like, but European traffic matches more towards this game.

Sadly that's just something that happens, especially considering they're from Prague. But I do want some of these models off ATS. Notably, the S-Max. I have pleaded, begged, and requested SCS multiple times to relinquish this shoebox-looking MPV from Ford of Europe's arm and replace it with the Jeep Renegade, and have proper minivans sold in America in its place. So far, they didn't do it. The S-Max (which btw they even made a worse prop for in ATS) is not sold here, and I have had public outcry (which is so extreme) about this that I even put up imgur links regarding its removal and I requested it be done soon.

And sadly your second part of the sentence isn't accurate too, since so many of these assets from ETS2 are really old. We don't have a T-Roc, there is a severe lack of trendy Euro cars, and we don't have nearly enough city cars. Pretty sad.

Cupra Formentor

Forza Horizon 5 (2021)
It will also be purchasable when the update drops.
Cupra Tavascan Concept

Forza Horizon 5 (2021)
No. PG said this is a concept version. Production version wouldn't be available to the games until at least 2025.

BTW, first Tavascan on the site.

Forza Horizon 5 (2021)
I got word we're gettin' some great cars for Series 21.

Notably, we're gettin' the '86 Ford F-150 and Chevrolet K10 truck, among those being the two Cupras and the GMC Hummer EV.

Photomode is also improved further with the ability to change the time of day and your character's involvement.

True, but even games from "back in the day" like GT2 don't have these M2s.

Modern games other than Gran Turismo don't even have Kei cars. Which is sad.

Why don't we get them? Surely there's not a licensing restriction on them?

We have many automakers like Audi and Toyota that no longer want their cars in Need For Speed.

I wanted to highlight this quote specifically for this.

Oh my god. Ever heard of not beating a dead horse? Can you please, PLEASE stop with this constant whining about why certain brands are not in Need for Speed? Because it's really grating and awful.

I know the easy statement of why Audi is not in NFS: Unbound. It's because of licensing. It's not because of some irrational Twitter statement or some conspiracy that we're losing brands, but because of licensing.

Also, can I also remind you Forza Horizon 5 has both Audi and Toyota, and that game also has a street racing mode, called Street Scene? Here's 2 examples of an Audi and a Toyota below.

Exhibit A: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=252407 ('98 Toyota Supra)
Exhibit B: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=261105 (2015 Audi TTS)

I'm sick and tired of this. No, seriously. A simple search to Google regarding licensing would really be beneficial because there are many sources of how licensing works, and this should be obvious. I am well aware it only applies to licensed racing games like NFS, GT, and Forza, but also Assetto Corsa and other simcades.

TL;DR

License for the brand =/= The next NFS (or other) game (Car licensing does not carry over from one iteration to the next; it has to be renewed)
License for the manufacturer =/= License for the car (Every car is individually licensed)

Keep these two in mind. Thanks for understanding.

IGCD Future releases and to-do list (2023)
Yeah it's not necessary, plus it's spam. Just like a certain American *ahem* who, once again, is bringing up the same tired whining about why Audi is not in NFS: Unbound.

I clearly told him multiple times that it's licensing, and he doesn't understand it.

Mitsubishi Fuso Canter

Ridge Racers (2004)
Yes. I'm surprised no one mentioned it 'til now, but it does lean more towards the Fuso Canter.
Mercedes-Benz GLS

American Truck Simulator (2016)
Since 1.47, this model now just has its color schemes ported over to the ETS2 model. Which to this day I still find appalling because it's rarely sold in Europe.

The only difference now is rims, and ETS2 model is worse in subjective terms.
Honda NSX

Gran Turismo (2009)
I don't want to argue, but default color comments are considered spam. Especially since the game has well over 800 cars.

Toyota Aygo

Saints Row (2022)
I will vote for the Aygo then. Because we identify cars by its bodystyle, not the front or rear. Didn't you read any of my comments?

Nothing in this car resembles a Cooper. I don't see a single bit of Yaris in this either, which once again goes back to Rozanoff's comment about it being a Aygo, which it is in many details.

So in conclusion, I think more details match the AB40 Aygo.

Statement done.
Ferrari Purosangue

Driving School Sim (2020)
Funny how you say that, when you have been insulting Forza. Besides I could care less about this car, because I want this model to be knocked off Ferrari's portfolio by 2025.

Also this car is not licensed.

Perhaps the Yaris isn't the best fit, but several details are reminiscent of the Aygo, such as the rear bumper and the overall silhouette.

I have to agree with Aygo, because it is one. I don't see a single bit of Yaris in this.

Shall we put down a vote for AB40 Aygo?

I think this is the Cooper proportioned to resemble the icon that debuted in 1959, just with aggressive lines.

Frankly I prefer this over SR2 and SR:TT's model. SR2 gave them crappy steelies and SRTT had the same problem.
Ferrari F40

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004)
True. Similar dilemma goes to foreign cars, where it's usually a model year newer than the original.

One example would be the Audi A4, which initially launched in 1994, went on sale in Europe as a '95 model year, and in that year it launched in North America as a 1996.

That's how it is for games based in North America or US-specification models of non-American brands.

And, as I said before, production years are not model years.

Wouldn't bother too much into this because someone on Discord ID'd the car as a Taunus.

Too bad this ad was cut, hence the desc. above. Footage is from its first and only gameplay video before the expansion was canned.

I will talk about it at length why those assets were given the cut icon soon.
