Dodge Viper

Burnout 3: Takedown (2004)
Comparing the pre-release design compared to the final, it seems that the intention was that this was meant to be a Viper but it got changed, possibly because the old design was too close to the actual car. Resulting in the Shelby style rear. It's not the only car in 3 to get this treatment, and not even the first car in the Burnout series to get this happen (the MR2 from Burnout 1 comes to mind).

This version of the car actually appeared in a trailer from April of 2004, meaning that this change happened really late into development.

According to these sources, designer Larry Wood who created Hot Wheel's Bone Shaker used to work as a designer for Ford before joining Mattel, and the car is loosely based on a 1930s Ford A pickup.

Given how hot rods in general modify the original car's structure, I think it wouldn't exactly be wrong to label it as a Ford A. Would be a nice clarification IMO.

Not required. We list all Hot Wheels models under their Hot Wheels name, not what they may be inspired by. I'm not sure how this would make it a "nice classification" since it would just make things confusing.

Would it be possible to modify the model's name to its full form "Corvette C2 Sting Ray"?

Absolutely not. "Stingray" is not part of the model's name. Additionally the "C2" designation is not an official GM designation nor is it the chassis code. None of the corvettes use "C" and a number to denote their chassis.

The whole association of using C plus a number to denote what gen of corvette you are talking about came about because when the C5 was in development, internally they called the project the "C5" literally just to mean Corvette 5. However it got leaked and soon people began to retroactively refer to the older gens with the "C" label.

There's no discussion to be had, we don't allow "community made mods" paid or otherwise. Even if the devs approve them or they appear in a storefront they are not allowed. Any entry on this page that is such is listed by mistake (or by intention by the uploader) and should be marked for deletion.

Probably because you submitted them incorrectly. If you wish to submit replacement pictures DO NOT submit them via the picture icon on an entry's page. Instead link the images in the comments of the entry.

Alternatively on the IGCD discord we have a dedicated section for sending replacement images, which you can send there.
