Hard to pick out fine details from this image. It looks like any old 1940s sedan from here. Nash 600 or Ambassador, perhaps? carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/1763/3221/29406610016_large.jpg
Burn Rubber wrote I swear I thought that rear was off a Chevy Astro I'd say it looks a bit like a 1970s Chevy Van from the back. topclassiccarsforsale.com/uploads/photoalbum/1975-chevy-034shorty034-g10-van-3.JPG Either way, I don't blame you. The back of the van looks considerably older than the front. -- Last edit: 2016-06-22 03:52:41

I see no Rolls-Royce in this car's design whatsoever, aside from maybe the grille. It appears to just be a long wheelbase version of this: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=34025 Unless someone identifies a car for the one in the above link, then this limo should probably also be listed as made for game.
ZoomZoom wrote Based off of three cars: Lincoln Continental (2002 concept) Lincoln Navicross Lincoln Sentinel I second the 2002 Lincoln Continental concept. If people disagree, then I'd say it stays made for game, seeing as that Continental is about the closest thing to any real car we're likely gonna find for this one.
It seems to be primarily based on the Lincoln Continental Mark IV, as far as I can tell. The grille, headlights and the turn signals located within the front bumper appear to be derived from the 1975 - 1978 Cadillac Eldorado. However, the overall design suggests the Mark IV serves as the main base.
1972 Also, the lack of fender skirts and bladed rear fenders would make it a LeSabre, not an Electra. ipocars.com/imgs/a/b/g/l/t/buick__le_sabre_1972_1_lgw.jpg
The roliest-poliest toppling-overest car in the game! I remember there was always a Landstalker that spawned in a house's driveway on Starfish Island, and I'd rarely get it out to the street without rolling the freaking thing over!
It looks too European to be an Auburn. I'm thinking something more along the lines of a Delahaye, like this 1938 Delahaye 135 MS Sport Roadster. i.wheelsage.org/pictures/delahaye/135/autowp.ru_delahaye_135_ms_sport_roadster_by_de_villar_9.jpg I know, it's not an exact match, but I think it's pretty close. -- Last edit: 2016-06-20 10:08:20

I always thought it looked like a Pontiac Solstice.
This definitely looks to be based on a 1977 Lincoln Continental sedan, in my opinion. The boxy, slab-sided body, the trim along the sides of the body and rocker panels, the fender skirts, the Rolls-Royce grille, the turn signals which stick out from the rest of the body (and the little horizontal chrome strips running the width of them)... Taking these design features into account, it looks very much like a '70s Lincoln to me. autothing.files.wordpress.com/2014/01/1977-lincoln-continental-sedan.jpg c1.staticflickr.com/7/6047/6325882398_f0fbf99e23_b.jpg The only major differences between the Churchill and the '77 Continental that I can see are the Churchill's lack of hidden headlights, a vinyl top and its possession of a rather small C-pillar. Inadequately sized for housing opera windows, that's for sure. Another little thing I noticed is that the rear wheels of the Churchill seem to be positioned a bit too far back compared to a lot of American sedans from back in the day. They're placed far behind the rear doors to the point where the shape of the doors is uninterrupted by the wheel arches, almost as if the car was riding on a limousine wheelbase. This factor combined with the tiny C-pillars always made the car's proportions look a bit strange to my eyes. Still, definitely one of my personal favorite cars from the Saints Row series.
Here's a '68 Country Squire. We can see that the taillights of the featured vehicle appear to be turned on, and only the top halves of the lights are lit up (unless I'm seeing that incorrectly). This taillight layout is a bit similar to that of the '68 Country Squire, given that its taillights are split into two sections divided by the reverse lights. motorbase.s3.amazonaws.com/pictures/contributions/20000828/std_1968_Ford_LTD_Country_Squire,_ltgreen.jpg Here's a '67, because better picture. assets.hemmings.com/uimage/27342118-770-0@2X.jpg?rev=1 -- Last edit: 2016-06-19 15:57:15
GeoZR177 wrote The Country Squire model actually began in 1950 and ran until 1990 so it is highly likely that this is a mid to late 60s Country Squire. Also I wouldn't rule out the 1968 Mercury Colony Park. We're aware of this. Patridam and I were specifically referring to the image provided by Burn Rubber, which is an image of a 1973 - 1978 Country Squire. The wagon featured here could very well be a pre-1970s Country Squire, given that this little screencap is currently the only one we have to go by until we get better images of the vehicle, or until the game comes out. -- Last edit: 2016-06-19 15:37:11
patridam wrote The country squire is from 1973+ while the game is set in 1968 (I know video games aren't always accurate though). The country squire also has a very different roofline from this, with a thicker C pillar, a much thinner C pillar, and a rounded roof end above the hatch rather than the crease seen here. The wood paneling is very different and this car has obvious tail fins while the Ford does not. I don't know what this is but it's not a mid seventies Country Squire. I agree. It doesn't look like a '70s wagon, but given that this is the Mafia series we're talking about, I wouldn't put it past them to shoehorn a bunch of cars that are too new for 1968 into the game. Mafia II seemingly forgot that the latest year it took place in was 1951 and featured vehicles and songs as new as 1957. Hopefully the developers have taken notes on the eras their games are taking place in since then. -- Last edit: 2016-06-19 05:07:04
Also, excuse my use of the word "humble" to describe a basic Ford marketed to be compared with the likes of Cadillac and Mercedes-Benz vehicles. www.curbsideclassic.com/wp-content/comment-image/144023.jpg www.americangranada.com/gallery/ad-1.jpg I digress. I, myself, think that the Marbelle generally looks to be based on the Granada over the Versailles due to its lack of vinyl top, lack of the Lincoln Mark series grille, and the addition of the little vents on either ends of the headlights, a Granada-inspired feature. The only things it takes directly from the Versailles are the rectangular quad headlights, as far as I can tell.
Keep in mind that the Versailles is a pseudo-upmarket car based on the humble Granada. They're basically the same car. It's like the first generation Chevrolet Cavalier vs. the Cadillac Cimarron. -- Last edit: 2016-06-19 02:28:00
1980 - 1986 Chevrolet Caprice Estate Wagon or 1982 - 1986 Pontiac Parisienne Safari Wagon. They're interchangeable, really... Chevrolet s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/57/98/82/579882be3a2b33ed7946a88630c29ab8.jpg Pontiac c2.staticflickr.com/4/3468/4623110196_da10c5ba25_b.jpg
Definitely a 1970s Ford Granada with the headlights of a Versailles (combined with the little vents on either end of the headlights which were seen on the 1975 - 1977 Granadas) and the taillights of a 1980 - 1984 Lincoln Town Car. A nice little collage of malaise era Ford products, and a more understated choice of motoring compared to a full-fledged luxury car like the Emperor. A classy entry-level luxury sedan fit for leisurely cruises. Such a shame it didn't reappear in GTA V. I'd love to see it return in the future. Hopefully it'll make another appearance in GTA VI or whatever the next installment in the franchise will be called. There are many cars from GTA IV I miss, and this one is particularly high on the list.
I can't argue against the notion that this is based on a 1970s Chevelle, with the stacked headlights and whatnot, but the name is a pretty obvious reference to the Buick Skylark. -- Last edit: 2016-06-19 00:47:22
I'm not really seeing a whole lot of similarities between this car and the Bonneville, aside from the boxy design. I feel as though when they were designing Moe's car, they were going for "basic, nondescript beater from the malaise era." But, if I had to assign one car to Moe's sedan, it would be the 1977 - 1979 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight. www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/olds/79oldsm/bilder/11.jpg ^ This one's green and everything! To go into further detail, the grille and front bumper are both rather generic. However, the quad headlights with the turn signals that flank the sides and undersides of the headlights are quite similar to the late '70s Olds Ninety-Eight. Furthermore, with those thin, vertical taillights, the rear of Moe's sedan is nearly identical to the rear of the 1980 - 1984 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight, the only discrepancy being the reverse lights. www.history-of-cars.com/images/oldsmobile/1980-98-regency-4door-sedan-016.jpg To add to that, the late '70s models had a similar taillight cluster as well. It's just that the early '80s rear end design seems a tad more similar to Moe's sedan, but they're both pretty close. s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/0a/fc/22/0afc224c81b60b0ee36fbbb9b0899ad4.jpg -- Last edit: 2016-06-18 21:35:58
Am I the only one scratching my head wondering why the Zirconium brand even exists? It just seems like the most pointless car company in the game. I mean, they only made one vehicle in GTA IV (the Stratum) which easily could have been made by Annis or Dinka, and now the only other vehicle they make in GTA V is this, which could've been a Brute model or something... The only vehicles coming off a company's assembly line are a Japanese station wagon and an American RV? It just seems off. Not to mention the Zirconium building in GTA IV (based on the Chrysler building), which should have been called the Schyster building, to be perfectly accurate.
Here's a Meteor with added headlights and front bumper: media.fastestlaps.com/c5703p5uj8vl Profile shots of a Pimpster modded into GTA: San Andreas compared to the Mormon Meteor: Notice the swooping bodywork around the passenger compartment, the tiny doors and the exhaust pipe. (Also worth noting is that the Pimpster and Meteor feature traditional front-hinged doors, whereas the Auburn features rear-hinged "suicide" doors. (And yes, I'm aware that some Meteors don't appear to have doors at all.)) cs3.gamemodding.net/posts/2013-08/53022100_1376131449_44475287_gta_sa_2013-08-09_12-21-15-14.jpg media.caranddriver.com/images/03q3/267416/1934-duesenberg-sj-mormon-meteor-photo-182662-s-450x274.jpg -- Last edit: 2016-06-18 03:56:05
Burn Rubber wrote The same car is in Head On. I provided good shots. Actually there are 3 things that lead towards Auburn. 1. The Auburn has a metal front bumper like the Pimpster. 2. I think the Meteor only came in yellow. The Auburn came in black like this car. 3. The Auburn is much more known than the Meteor, So devs probably based it from Auburn While the bumpers, lights and other fixtures like that appear to mimic the Auburn, the overall shape of the body looks more like the Meteor to me. - Look at how far the bodywork alongside the cabin swoops down, which is very reminiscent of the Meteor. - The Pimpster and Meteor both feature an exhaust pipe that runs along the right side of the car, ending just above the back right fender. - The front fenders of the Auburn flow smoothly down to the bumper, whereas the Pimpster and Meteor's front fenders abruptly change angle, slightly wrapping around the front wheels, and go straight downward. - I'm just noticing this now, look at how the turn signals of the Pimpster protrude out of the chrome trim on the front fenders, which looks to be directly inspired from the Meteor. The Auburn on the other hand, lacks trim pieces and turn signals on its front fenders. There are probably more things I'm missing, but I'm just throwing my observations out there.
Aginnon wrote One of those Albanian blokes drives this car in a beige colour. WHERE can I get this rarity, PLEASE? The aforementioned beige Willard owned by Dardan Petrela can be obtained in the mission "Bleed Out". After Roman is beat up by some loan sharks and Niko rushes to his aid, Dardan is seen entering his Willard and proceeds to flee the scene. After a chase sequence, he abandons his car at the Twitchin's Sugar Factory in BOABO, where the player follows him up some stairs and into a room where he is killed. You may then enter either Dardan's car or Roman's taxi and use the car you're driving to push the other car down to Roman's cab depot and finish the mission. It's a bit of a pain getting the two cars out of East Hook simultaneously, but it's worth it for a car this rare. I've used this method to get my hands on Dardan's beige Willard a number of times in the past. There's also another green Willard you can obtain later on in the game, presumably owned by Derrick McReary, from failing the mission "Babysitting" at pretty much any point, if I recall correctly.
Auburn Speedster? I don't know, looks more like a Mormon Meteor to me. The developers probably just added extra lights, bumpers and a funky grille design to make it look a bit more like a generic '30s car. |
