WRC 9: FIA World Rally Championship (2020) | The last F1 game I played was 2016, other than that I skipped the rest, but I can agree that they are becoming greedy for trying to force a yearly release for F1 When almost everything is just the same and re-skinned But when it comes to other games, at least codemasters are taking their time, I personally enjoy the dirt series, I think they are doing good for dirt rally too,, I hope they won’t force a yearly wrc but there is still hope My only complaint about Codemasters is how they messed up with The past Grid games, nothing was able to outclass the original Grid Think about it this way, consoles especially when it comes to graphics have already reached their limit, imo what future games needs now is a more time (2-3 years) or they could go with the one game that keeps receiving updates every now and then, what else could be improved in terms of graphics? I liked Run as well despite me considering it an average arcade racer, I think it’s still playable even to this day, even compared To today’s F&F I’m totally ok with Simcades if they can give me a positive experience, so far I can’t say I didn’t like any GRID game for example, even though for me the Original game was the best I have never never really shown interest on drifting An Impreza so i can’t really say this is the majority of people thinking the same as me or you though, I mostly use them for rallying or a performance vehicle, so there is actually point why they are included at least from this perspective I’m gonna wait and hope PC3 to hold my hope that it will at least deliver a positive experience that F&F failed to do, especially that it’s coming from a big studio | |

Absolutely, it’s not the worst, it’s beyond the worst I have watched many gameplay of this game trying to convince myself if I should consider it at some point, I would rather play NFS the Run or Pro Street (which are lowest rated nfs games iirc) than this ballshot The only time this game my end up in my library is if it’s included in a cheap bundle (which is how showdown ended in my library Anyway) Test Drive legends may have been really bad, but even that is still forgivable when compared to F&F. In fact the whole game feels like a bunch of ideas thrown together and duct taped in a really shitty fashion. The driving physics is horrendous. Every. Single. Car. behaves the same. Whether it be the red van, a bowler wildcat, a dodge dart or a NSX they all slide about like they're on ice. You tap the brake and the car launches into a perpendicular slide that takes you off course into a wall. The game plays almost exactly like the Pimp my Ride game on the PS2/Xbox from 15 years ago. The settings are ridiculous and half the time I didn't realize where I was until the game screamed it into my face. Each level is presented almost like how every level was presented in Hot Wheels: Velocity X. Where you get one big map and every mission involves just going to specific locations on the map. I have not paid attention to the story in the slightest. There's some fanservice in the first area to the fast and furious 1-4 but the story is straight up nonsensical. The only bit I followed was that at one point the characters V, Cam and Sebastian (who's dead at this point) were set up by Letty and when they confront her, the response is "shit happens....anyway here's Dom!". The rest of the story I've followed is like a shitty fanfiction where someone inserts their character directly into the plot but they have to have the same upbringing as Letty and Dom since big reveal she's their daughter/sister/long lost relative. I'm still working through the game since it took hours to download (I paused it at one point and downloaded a Resident Evil in less time than it took for the game to update). Also the cutscenes look like shit and I swear aspects of the story were lifted straight from NFS Payback, the character you play as "V" looks for real like Navarro from that game. At one point she says "progressive" and I cringed. There's also some scum tactics with game. For example I got the physical version and it installed the game from disc in like 5 minutes which is really quick. Well turns out all it installed was the first mission and you had to download the rest of the game from an update....Just like Tony Hawk Proskater 5 if anyone remembers that fiasco. Also there's the fact it has a season pass for call of duty level of pricing (which for me is $44) and the Toyota Supra is EXCLUSIVE to the season pass even though you race it. There are some cars in the game I suspect are also going to be dlc because despite you racing them in the first area they don't seem to be playable in the online mode. For example I think the R34 GTR, Silva and the Veilside RX7 (yep it's in the game) are gonna be dlc. Speaking of the multiplayer I haven't been able to try it yet because despite it being launch day I only found 2 people online and you need I suspect 9 to start a game.... Anyway, TL:DR, Play NFS Payback if you want pretty much the same story about revenge and shit but with better gameplay and if you really need that fast and furious hit try and get the 2006 game, infinitely better than this shit. Couldn’t said it better, I really don’t understand about the ppl who had hope this will be good, yes it’s slightly better than showdown but it still sucks ballshots I’ve already said and knew from the beggining that it’s nit going to turn well, I have played pretty much every F&F game except showdown which is still hanging in my Steam library, maybe I will try it just to make fun of how much of a terrible game it’s , even the F&F Mobile games were much more enjoyable, and I think the graphics in this one kinda sucks, the last mobile F&F on it’s time were impressive in terms of graphics, it’s an insult to feel like it has downgraded on a console, but I’m not surprised.... And even me who dislikes mobile so much, I found out that the last one was quite easy to progress and get decent cars, it’s sad it was deleted off store, and I would totally play it rather than this But indeed, the 2006 one still remains my favorite, it’s not perfect but it was super enjoyable that I finished the game with a Full mark %100 progress NFS payback is decent, but I advice to get The last hot pursuit Too When it’s on sale (I loved it lot myself) -- Last edit: 2020-08-08 09:26:40 | |
