Fussball Manager 2002 (2001)
This is the first game of the Fifa or Total Club Manager series from EA SPORTS under the studio of Gerald Koehler (the chief developer of the legendary ANSTOSS football manager games) from Germany.

This game was released exclusively in Germany as "Fussball Manager 2002".

It is not to be confused with the "The F.A Premier League Football Manager 2002". It has nothing to do with the "Fussball Manager 2002" known in Germany, even if both games were published by "EA Sports" - they are two independent developments!

The "Premier League Manager" was not available in Germany, while the "Fussball Manager 2002" was only published in Germany.
Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR

NASCAR 99 (1998)
This car represents Dale Earnhardt Junior's 1999 first Budweiser car in which he raced five times in 1999 for Dale Earnhardt Inc.

NASCAR '99 Legacy which is a Collectors Edition of NASCAR '99, was released half a year later to the original release of NASCAR '99.
The Legacy Edition added Dale Jr' car aswell as Miami Homestead.
This course was first run in the 1999 Winston Cup season.
Both of these exclusive things (Homestead Motorspeedway and Dale Jr.) were for the first time ever in a NASCAR video game at this time.

It's the only car/driver from the 1999 season.

The rest of the car field is from 1998, which was the original release date of this game.

F1 Manager 2001 (2000)
Last official F1 Manager up to this date and old classic by Electronic Arts.
This F1 Manager game has multiple alternate names:
In germany it is known as 'F1 Offical Team Manager'.
International it's named as 'F1 Manager/F1 Manager 2001'.

Although it is named as 'F1 Manager 2001', every version of this game starts and uses data of F1 season 1999.

The game has no direct goal or it can be managed until the day of dawn - i.e. it can still be managed in the game year 2037, for example, but only the drivers from 1999 are still available.

All 11 teams from 1999 can be selected from game start.

It is possible to hire new drivers for the following seasons and see, for example, Michael Schumacher in a Minardi or Jacques Villeneuve in a Ferrari or McLaren.
Also sponsors, staff as well as engine suppliers etc. have to be hired new.

F1 Racing Championship (2000)
F1 Racing Championship was advertised very strongly for the PC in 2001, particularly as a potential opponent for Grand Prix 3 by MicroProse and F1 2001 by Electronic Arts.

After the trade press had praised the game before the game was released, the game was almost overwhelmed with a lot of criticism when it was released.

This had mainly to do with the extremely critical A.I error, which made the game almost unplayable.

The computer opponents drive stubbornly on the ideal line and at full speed, as if they were driving alone. This causes a lot of accidents and you can't race properly. Most of the time the races end so that no one drives at all.

A patch was announced but never came.

The game therefore flopped extremely. An improved version or a major update appeared with Racing Simulation 3, which is the game the same game, only without official F1 licenses, no more A.I bugs, and ... Yes, two years too late ... :D

Racing Simulation 3 (2002)
Racing Simulation 3 wasn't really a new game, but rather a major patch/update or "improved version" of 'F1 Racing Championship'.

Since F1 Racing Championship had an extremely buggy A.I, which made the game unfortunately unplayable and a patch never appeared by Ubisoft, F1 Racing Championship flopped to other F1 games at the time - namely Grand Prix 3 by Geoff Crammond/MicroProse and F1 2001 by Electronic Arts.

After just over a year, the revised version came as Racing Simulation 3, which again linked to the name of the first two parts. The FIA F1 license has therefore also been removed.

-The A.I errors have been removed or improved.
-Driving physics
-No real F1 licenses anymore, but the names of the drivers and teams adapted to the F1 2000 season.
-Scenario mode that imitates real moments from the 2000 season.
-The cars are a mix of Formula 1 and Indycar
- Noises have been improved a bit

Current main pics are fine.

I see this completely differently.
There are several reasons why should replace the old pictures with new ones.

1. The pictures are from the PC version
2. The cars all have their own car shape in the PC version and not, as with the Nintendo 64, only the paintwork is different.
3. Why have three Arrows-Benetton cars been replaced by the old pictures when the old ones were already "good"?
4. I didn't fault the quality as such of the pictures of the Nintendo 64 version that Rinspeed took a long time ago. If only this version of the game existed, god knows I wouldn't have taken any new pictures, but there's a much, much better looking PC version out there. Why shouldn't you use them when even the car shapes are different, which in my opinion is also taken into account here on IGCD.net.
5. PC version high-poly cars vs. N64 low-cars = I honestly prefer the former. Of course, that also depends on the game. There are games where I even like low poly cars = NASCAR Racing 1 or NASCAR Racing 2, F1 Manager Professional etc. there is one like that - but not in the F1 Racing Championship.
6. There is no reason not to use these images. I think the majority of the users here on IGCD.net, would see it similarly if they looked at the quality of the game. The PC version was the main version of the game. All other versions of F1 Racing Championship for consoles were just followers and not primarily representative of this racing game.

F1 Racing Championship (2000)
Is there a reason why my replacement pics from the PC version of F1 Racing Championship are get ignored or do I misunderstand this?
I made new front pics (as I said) from the PC version for this game, but my links for the new pics are deleted and the newcar pictures are not all been used.

It's like they had the F1 tracks and thought "just change them a bit, say they're all in USA and make another game with them"

Yeah the track layout are the same as the Formula 1 tracks.

But in the game, the locations of the courses look completely different and only remember the F1 tracks from the routing.

NASCAR Road Racing (1999)
Dear admins:
You can add as alternate 'name NASCAR Road Racing 2000' as this game was released so in germany.

The developer of the game was Stromfront Studios.

NASCAR Rumble (2000)
What a great fun racer.
Extremely funny and with the official NASCAR license from 1999 from the Winston Cup and Craftsman Truck Series an extremely high variation. Even the legends from past years as known from the other NASCAR EA SPORTS titles (see NASCAR '99, NASCAR Revolution, NASCAR Revolution SE or NASCAR 2000) are represented here again.

There are even more secret cars like a jet car or chicken truck, which quite funny. :D

Unfortunately this was only an NTSC exclusive from the USA nd there was no PAL version in Europe, which is a very, very unfortunate thing.

The predecessors NASCAR 98 to NASCAR 2000 were released for PlayStation 1 in Europe. Why not NASCAR Rumble remains a mystery to me.
Even NASCAR Road Racing 2000 for the PC was released in germany, but not NASCAR Rumble. :(

But to the conclusion: NASCAR Rumble is one of the best NASCAR games of all time, without a doubt.

Epic game and still fun to play in 2021, especially if you love NASCAR from this time period (which was no doubt the best/golden era).

Formula One 97 (1997)
Great Formula 1 game for it's time especially for PlayStation 1.

However, there is one thing I have to mention regarding the pictures of the cars.
These were done in multiplayer mode so that I could get a smart camera perspective from the front and back.

Unfortunately, this has a negative impact on the vehicle models, as these are now only in low-poly mode and appear much poorer in detail.
Actually, all the F1 cars in 'F197' have their own specific models and you can also see the tire manufacturers in single player mode on the tires, which fell victim to the PS1 limits in multiplayer mode.

In the Monaco Grand Prix for example, the Tyrrell with the special side wings can only be seen in single player mode, while in multiplayer all cars share a generic F1 model.

Hope this is not too bad as otherwise clever pictures are not possible in this game. :)

NASCAR 06: Total Team Control (2005)
This is Jeff Gordon's old school 'Rainbow Warrior car' based on his first seasons (1993-2000) of the NASCAR Winston Cup Series.
To unlock this legendary car of Jeff Gordon in NASCAR 06 you must buy the Chase Plate 'Jeff Gordon Retro' or type in Fight to the Top Mode as Driver Name 'Gimme Gimme'.

The car is based on his last run with this color scheme from 2000 season.

It does not work on Windows 10. :(

The game works under Windows 10.

You need three things:

1. First you need to replace the original 3Dsetup.exe from NSR with a 3Dconfig/setup.exe from a other 'Image Space engine' game like GTR 1 or 2, F1 Challenge '99-'02 or NASCAR Thunder 2004.

2. You also need the newest Patch 'Version 1.0.2.9'

3. And you need a No-CD patch (also for 'Version 1.0.2.9') for NASCAR SimRacing.

Then the game should start and work without any problems.

I wonder how did this game was able to include both Porsche & Ferrari, since that time EA had the Porsche exclusive Deal & if I am not mistaken Microsoft had the Ferrari deal

Electronic Arts was the publisher of GTR 1:
ogdb.eu/index.php?section=game&gameid=9772
There was also a EA Classics budget version of the game:
ogdb.eu/index.php?section=game&gameid=9773

This could be the reason why Porsche was included in GTR 1.
But why Porsche was also in GTR 2 is a good question, cause in the sequel the publisher was Atari.

What the license of Ferrari belongs - I have no clue. :D

Rally Championship 2002 (2001)
Interesting: Most cars in 'Rally Championship 2002 or Xtreme' are straight ported from Rally Championship 2000.
Toyota Corolla WRC

Rally Championship 2000 (1999)
As I said in the vehicle section of Runabout 2:
The Toyota Corolla WRC aka. MF Hothatch from Rally Championship 2000 has big similarities to the one from Runabout 2: igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=13625

Both are blue instead of red, white and green like the real life colors of the Castrol sponsored car (of course due to license issues).

And instead of 'Castrol' it says 'Console' in Runbaout 2.
In Rally Championship 2000 it says: 'Rally'.

I love it to see things like this in video games. :)

Last time this car was in a rally game was in 'Rally Championship 2000'.

Runabout 2 (1999)
Such a awesome game.

It is a mixture of GTA, Driver, Gran Turismo 1-2 and Midtown Madness.

These mixture of awesome (and some nonsense) cars and gimmicks epic.
Very underated game.
Best Runabout game in the whole series, no doubt about it.

My favorite cars in this game are the: Toyota Corolla WRC, NASCAR Craftsman Truck and Armored Truck.

Of course the tractor is also funny to drive. :D

Both are blue instead of red/green like in real life (of course due to license issues).
And instead of 'Castrol' it says 'Console' in Runbaout 2.

Hugo Classic #2 (2000)
These Hugo Classic series were a series of 6 games. (Hugo Classic 1 - 6).

The are a optimized game collection to the original Hugo Games (Hugo 1 - 8).

Similiar to many other Hugo Compliation's this game also includeds the Motorcycle level again, with many minor differences...

Hugo: Die Geburtstagsparty (2000)
Hugo - The Birthdayparty is one of many Hugo compliation's.
This time it celebrates 10 years (as of the year 2000) since Hugo was created.

This Hugo game has mix one of the best hugo mini-games such as the ice cavern, motorcycle, skateboard, hugocopter and more...

Beside the old level's the level designs, voice over's were upgraded to the level original's.

Moorhuhn Fun Kart 2008 (2008)
Moorhuhn Fun Kart 2008 is a not a completely different game. It is more or less a PlayStation 2 port of Moorhuhn Kart 2 (PC) from 2004.
It has some minor changes for car physics, different game name, random generated color for Go-Kart and more.
All drivers, tracks, soundtracks are the same from the PC original (MHK2).
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV

Gran Turismo 6 (2013)
Very good pictures!

What a epic car and driven by the legendary Tommi Makinen!
Hope we see this car in Gran Turismo 7 again.
(Like many other WRC cars from the 90's and early 00's!)

Worms: World Party (2001)
These sequences are PlayStation and Dreamcast exclusive.
And unfortunately there are NOT part of the PC version of WWP.

Colin McRae Rally (1998)
Dear moderators and admins!

I noticed the cover picture currently used on igcd.net by Colin McRae Rally is the american cover from 2000 with the replaced decals of the Subaru Impreza WRC from 1999-2000 (with Richard Burns and Juha Kankkunen).

Can we use the original european cover from 1998 instead, which still uses the 555 decals that Colin McRae drove with? Here I have the original european cover from the first edition: imgur.com/Kdvtoq5

I would be happy if we used the cover image from the european first edition, instead of the american one.

Thanks,

Please add as publisher Electronic Arts.
EA was the publisher in america.

The game was also rebranded in america as Need For Speed: V-Rally and was part of the Need For Speed series in america.

The european version was published by Infogrames, the game was simply named V-Rally.

Grand Prix 3 (2000)
I have added all the Formula 1 cars/teams from the only official Grand Prix 3: Season 2000 Add-On.

The GP3-2000 add-on updated the game to the following features:

-all cars, teams and drivers (including Jacques Villeneuve) from season 2000
-all tracks from 2000 and updates (including Sepang and Indianapolis)
-updated and new car engine sound (with 3D effect)
-better replay mode
-new game mode: hot lap mode - also seen in the sequel 'Grand Prix 4'

Grand Prix 3 (2000)
I also love the sequel of Grand Prix 2.
The weather simulation was a epic and innoative feature.

The 1998 season is also great, unfortunately Jacques Villenuve is not included. (like all F1 games that used season before 1999)

He is replaced from John Newhouse, like in Grand Prix Manager 2 and Grand Prix World. (both games also part of the Grand Prix from MicroProse)

Grand Prix 2 (1996)
Best F1 game of alltime! It's 24 years old, but still so nice to playin in 2020, and easily to mod.

This Geoff Crammonds F1 games were ahead of his times. Especially Grand Prix 2!

This Impreza is basically a prototype version (from 1996, when the car was built for the WRC rules 1997) of the Subaru Impreza WRC car from 1997. (Which is also a car in the game)

This Subaru Impreza is based exactly on this test car version:
www.sportscarmarket.com/profile/1996-subaru-impreza-wrc97-rally-car

igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=5811

Because this is another car in the game, and looks slightly different.
Different rims, model slightly different model and different logos and sponsors on the car.

The Celica GT4 was not built to the WRC-car rules, but to the older Group A rules, so it was not a WRC car, but a Group A car. The Celica was replaced by the new Corolla Wrc car in 1997.
The Wrc car rules was introduced in 1997, and meant that the rally cars did not have to look exatcly like their road going counterparts.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Celica_GT-Four

Actually, I also meant that the racing modified Toyota Celica GT4 from Gran Turismo is a rally car. I know that the WRC rally cars were only introduced in 1997 and the Celica is a Group A car like Lancia Delta Integrale, Ford Escort Cosworth and Subaru Impreza 555.
I had somehow just written down WRC because I generally associated WRC with a rally car...

Ryan2t4 wonder which Toyota Celica GT4 it is. Is it a WRC car (by WRC he probably meant rally car in general and not WRC regulation from 1997) or is it the Super Taikyu car? Then I replied with it is the WRC car, whereas by WRC I generally only meant rally car.

Yes, I know the Celica is not a WRC car from 1997 and still a Group A car, but most people associate the term WRC with rally cars because it is part of the World Rally Championship.

That was of course the Celica in the beginning to the middle of the 90s.

No question, you @carknower you are absolutely correct.
It is wrong, the Celica is NOT a WRC car, but it still often happens that rally cars are associated with WRC.

The Renault Maxi Mégane Kit Car or Seat Ibiza Kit Car are also not WRC cars, but F2 vehicles.
Still, you sometimes read that people write WRC because they simply associate the word WRC with rally cars.

Now that we have cleared it up, we can end the whole thing now.
It was just a little misunderstanding, nothing further :)

@Solarriors My emulator: ePSXe 2.0.5

As Video Plugin I use Pete's PSX OpenGL Driver 1.77

I maxed every setting I could.
I know you said the graphic textures could look better.

But honestly I personally think this looks good as was texture quallity depends. It is a very old ps1 game.
I know there Plugins that make these textures extra sharp and all, but honestly this is a game from 1999.
I think it should also look
It looks 1000x times better with my settings on PS1 emulator than on the original PlayStation hardware.

And Petes' Video Plugin were always the ones i used for my PlayStation 1 games on emulator.

I also think it should be a little balanced, of course it shouldn't look like potato quality, of course the images of the vehicles should be clearly recognizable and identifiable.

And my pictures are far from poor quality potatoes.

With Pete's OpenGL 1.77 this is the best quality you can get out of this video plug-in. (
If you had written which plug-in used, I could have made the settings. With Pete's plug-ins, for example, you can't change anything about anti-aliasing.

And I never had any problems with Pete's plug-in, which I cannot say about other video plug-ins.
I always had bad bugs with other video-plugins and the than games didn't even start.

I am always happy to receive suggestions for improving my pictures. But then you should be a little more specific about what a special plugin you used to make the textures look great. Each plugin works differently and does not have the same setting options.
