Now I think the Ascents are just a random mixtures of European cars especially since this is a RHD car that appears in London races. I can see bits of Merc and BMW but I can't really tell what this is.

Throw out a car that matches more than a 2005 RL. No one can deny that whoever modeled this Ascent accidentally made something similar to a car which after 5 years entered production. Coincidences can happen. Or is there a rule about coincidences on IGCD? Remember this is a fake car and no one can know if the creators made it relating to a real car or making one on their own.

We are listing fictional cars here as their progenitors from real life. A 2005 car can't be a progenitor of a 2000 car because it didn't existed in the year the in-game model was made. If this car doesn't look like anything from year 2000 or earlier - then it's a pure "Made for Game" vehicle. Any questions?

Please shut up! The design is similar, who cares if the car has been made before or after the game in real life, we list fake cars as similar counterparts here on IGCD. You can't be time-nazi with a stupid fake car. We must list it as MFG only if this car is similar to nothing else on earth, but since it has RL resemblances we'll keep it as that.
You don't agree? Find a better matching car.

What the hell mate? I mean, seriously: How this car can be based on something that didn't existed in the year it was released? Your statement breaks the rules of logical thinking. Did developers have a time machine? I know it looks similar to more modern vehicles but its design is nothing new compared to real life cars from this time. They made a fictional car and then, a few years later someone released a similar looking car in real life. It doesn't mean that a car from 2000 is based on car from 2005. It cannot be.

So you're saying its got BMW taillights? Supporting your 2005 arguement how?

And BTW, this was my reference.

If anything it's just a rounded RL with BMW read lights.

If you look, the grill, headlights, and fog lights are also 1999 RL ones...

So you expect an exact carbon copy of the car? RockStar didn't do that until MCII.

If you look at the taillights, they have a similar pattern to the 1999 that the 2005 lacks.

I'm not the one annoying the hell out of someone...

The game was made almost 17 years ago... The 3D Models are not going to be Forza level quality...

If you look at the game, most of the vehicles are to some extent bulbous or round. Some that aren't are the Jones models. But they were on purpose due to the pickup truck appearance.

I never said list it as Made for Game. I said list it as unknown until someone finds a real match.

If you have browsed the ancient depths of IGCD like me, you'd see there's other cases of time inaccuracy.

We cannot and will not keep this as a 2005 RL just because "oh it looks like one even though it physically can't be".

If anything this car looks like a rounded 1999 RL that actually existed when the game was made.

Listing a car from a 2000 game as 2005 is absurd. Time-nazi or not, there is no way this car is based from a 2005 Acura. Putting it as that is basically putting in inaccurate info.
