![]() 2024-06-12 16:17 | clandohoome a écrit I don't own the game, but I'm assuming that the model is only replaced if you own the France DLC, so it would make sense to have two separate entries. The base game does have the northeastern portion of France, so yeah it would be the reason why we got two separate variants. As mentioned before, this enhanced version, lacking any SNCF markings, only appears in Vive la France and maybe the reworked parts of France given in the Swiss rework, which came in the recent update (1.50). There's a likely chance the old model will soon be bleached out of the game, because a dedicated team of SCS mappers have reworked a lot of old areas as early as 2022. Knowing the Czechs, they've done quite a lot of magic with map reworks.

![]() 2024-06-12 02:32 | No - this model's quite different and only spawns in Vive la France territory, alongside some other parts of France which were reworked. The older version of this train still does exist in the game, in some parts of the 2012-era France map and on the rail overpass in Belgium's E19. The whole map of Switzerland was reworked however. So I wouldn't have the old entry offed. Rather, it should be given the cut icon when all of France and the Benelux area is reworked. -- Last edit: 2024-06-12 02:36:42

How can anyone from SCS be pleased with this model that it gets added in the game? I would say that the headlights require some changing. Especially the grille, which should be toned darker in my opinion. The rear bumper needs a redesign for sure.

![]() 2024-05-03 19:17 | After some time, I wanted to clarify about this awkwardly-deformed Civic we're about to get in Euro Truck 2. While yes, this model looks so screwed up and feels like it was generated by AI, I personally think it was a bit better compared to the awful models we've gotten lately. I've combed over to the official forums (as the temporary contributor of this entry has an account there) and found that same model on the 1.48 discussion, which would otherwise explain why we're getting deformed models as of late. @Ivan8065 has the details there but the model and files of this existed last year. Oddly, the files say it's a Holden_Sedan_23, which is very suspicious because the former is a dead GM brand from Australia. The design itself isn't bad on terms and I can dig the Kia Stinger-like rear light arrangement. But the rest of the car feels a bit off, and it's not like copyright claims are to blame for this because none of the vehicles have any physical damage - something that would really rile up real-world manufacturers as they protect their brand fiercely. That new Audi by comparison has some slight changes and it's a nicer model, which is still 1000% better than the abomination that was the BMW 5-series (which is listed as bertrand_m5_23 in the files). As with all other entries I will replace it once the experimental beta will evolve into the finished 1.50 update.

![]() Euro Truck Simulator 2 (2012) | ![]() ![]() 2024-04-17 13:09 | Vxctec a écrit Reading different forums on SCS' social media accounts about the electric Renault truck, there's unfortunately a lot of negative criticism. People are arguing that electric trucks are not suitable for ETS2. While I think they could have added a better truck, I don't see why people just cannot be appreciative. There were/are so many people excited to see electrics in the game and I think it is a brilliant idea. Considering that the game still does not have rigid trucks which are way more common - I think such criticism is understandable. |
![]() ![]() 2024-04-17 12:21 | Vxctec a écrit Quite sad that SCS now has to fictionalize real variants of traffic vehicles. This looks like a damn GTA car! Anyone else misses the original styling of AI vehicles? At least it looks like a GTA car, most recent fictional SCS vehicles look much worse
![]() 2024-04-16 00:10 | I mean, the model itself doesn't look too bad from a bodystyle standpoint. The greenhouse area and overall body is pretty much spot on for the FL Civic. It's the front and back that seems to be the difficult part to model. Maybe they should model these future AI cars in Maya instead of Blender. I get SCS wants to modernize the traffic variety, but altering the front and rear fascias feels like the devs don't want to be sued for copyright infrigement. Except that logic is totally flawed considering their entire roster did have vehicles that mirror the real model, which they are not remodeling. And two, these models do not take any visual damage, so that risk-averse logic is clearly adamant in knowing SCS is making good-looking models like the Civic uglier out of spite. And this has to stop. For Christ's sake, they modeled a Zastava 101 that looks exactly like the real damn model! And who even asked for a Civic? I mean yeah, we do need a lot of modern cars, since they are way behind and the community doesn't know them well, but I did, and I educated them. Apparently the whole real-over-fake medium seems to have been disrupted in magnitude, likely because I am convinced this was generated by a crappy AI modeling application. Still don't get why the model just feels so off... and it reminds me of those 2013-era GTA V models which were terribly modeled. I've been poundering for SCS to model new AI vehicles that look exactly like the real model, and apparently they didn't read the memo... ![]()
![]() 2024-04-15 01:59 | It's definitely the newest A3
![]() 2024-04-12 23:10 | So if anyone's saw this before: It's one of those contemporary Audi sedans people have been asking for in ETS2, mostly out of spite. I want to say it's an 2021-present A3 Sedan or the current A4, but unless if this car gets added in the nearest update, we'll see if these match. If you're not wary of the vehicle it was spotted in early development renders on the 2023 Christmas Stream, on the "others" entry. And I've given it a slight mention of it before. I'll be the judge of it and say this is a worthy addition, and thank god it is not another one of those horrifying AI-generated abominations we've gotten lately with SCS' traffic wares.
![]() ![]() 2024-04-11 07:13 | There is actually an EMU, the "Bombardier Twindexx Vario" or BR 445/446 that looks basically like the double-decker wagons used on loco push/pull services like shown here. But I think it has slightly different details than this one.
![]() ![]() 2024-04-11 06:32 | Vxctec a écrit Also, shouldn't it be listed as playable since it will eventually be able to operate in the game? Yes, and same for the upcoming Mack Pinnacle in ATS, as well.

![]() 2024-04-06 05:19 | I'm not sure the 4th-gen Actros' chassis code should be Mp4. According to IMCDb all fourth-gen MB Actros models are listed under the SFTP chassis code. Hell, even during the recent Christmas stream the CEO mentioned that MB stopped using the Mp code and renamed it to "New Actros". In short, should all 4th-generation Actros models on this site use the SFTP code? Especially considering the Actros V is planned at some point.
![]() 2024-03-22 00:28 | It actually came out today, lol. There was a small update that adds this very truck in a blue veil for the time being. Keep in mind that Renault Trucks and SCS did this sort of thing 3 years ago with their Evolution model. This model in particular is going to be a game changer as this will be the first EV truck to be drivable. Here's some insight about this a few months ago, known as "The Good Truck" here: blog.scssoft.com/2023/12/the-good-truck-scs-on-road-episode.html This is today's blogpost right here: blog.scssoft.com/2024/03/the-good-truck-truck-painted-with-light_01691930219.html UPDATE: Situation has changed. ![]() ![]() 2024-02-28 16:48 | TheGreaser a écrit Not that I know of, since I have little knowledge of German trains, but clearly SCS just added a duplicate carriage operator on both ends. Which would hardly qualify as a real locomotive in its own but it can't just move without some kind of propulsion (especially so considering it has an electric train motor sound file). Gray area locomotives like the cable car seem outrageous. Looks like this one will have to be clamped. A painful shame since I spent quite some time looking for it. Thanks for checking. If it acts like a locomotive in-game, we can keep it, even if it's not one in real life - see igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=330056

![]() ![]() 2024-02-28 07:58 | This is one of DB's cab cars - it's a carriage that has controls that are connected to the locomotive at the other end of the train. The driver can drive the train by sitting here, but it technically doesn't count as a locomotive as it has no power of its own. TheGreaser, did the devs put a locomotive at the other end of the train (something like this), or did they just put these carriages at both ends?
